  • Java - Lock Aspect Ratio of JFrame

    - by nasufara
Is it possible to lock the aspect ratio of a JFrame in Java Swing? For example, if my window is 200px by 200px, and the user wants to resize it, I want the ratio between the width and the height at 1:1, so that if the new width is 400px, the new height is forced to 400px. I'm aware of ComponentListener and componentResized, but I'm having difficulty not getting it to go into an infinite loop of resizing, because I'm resizing the window in a resize listener. Thanks!

  • iPhone SDK "White Flash" transition

    - by Extremely frustrated
I want to make a button; when you press it the screen fades to a "flash of white" and back like in those powerpoint transitions. I'm thinking maybe dynamically changing the opacity of a white square or something? What do you think? Is there something like this that already exists like part of Catransitions or something? Thanks guys.

In silverlight prism application I have a region (ContentControl) and would like to remove currently active view before adding another view. I tried to use region.PropertyChanged event but it doesn't fire. I can do it in the code where I add new view, but that will scatter my code. How to achieve this? Thanks for reply.

  • How to Minify .net AXD Resources

    - by Ilya Biryukov
Hey I am working on a big .NET project. I am currently creating an automated minifier for JS and CSS files using YUI compressor. After doing some research, I found that the heaviest files in the project are actually .NET resources (Like MS ajax file). They are very big and unminified. I am wondering, is there any way to minify them? Thanks

Can anybody help? Thanks,

Hi there, Trying to set-up GIT Server on my local dev machine and have been following this website so far but am a little stuck when trying to clone a repository. In GIT Bash, here's my output: $ git clone ssh://[email protected]:4837/ssh/home/Administrator/project1.git Initialized empty Git repository in C:/Git/project1/.git/ Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive). fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly Any suggestions on why I would be getting a 'Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive)' error? Thanks in advance!

  • Free CodeRush Express: worth the time?

    - by rp
DevExpress has announced a free express version of CodeRush (for C# and VB.Net). http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/kim/archive/2008/10/28/coderush-for-free-coderush-xpress-for-visual-studio-announced.aspx I've read about CodeRush Pro and suspect that it is probably worth the money--but I've always had other things I needed to spend the money on. Is CodeRush Express worth the time and effort to download and learn to use. It's help file didn't install and I'm a little frustrated as to how to use it. Thanks, rp

  • What are the most popular RSS readers? (software/web apps)

    - by Daniel Magliola
I'm creating an application that generates RSS feeds that include an <enclosure (for showing an audio player). Since RSS readers are kinda flaky, in my experience, I'd like to test how my feeds look in as many readers as possible. I only use Google Reader. What other RSS readers (websites or installable apps, for Windows, Linux AND Mac) are popular? Which are the ones I must test on? Thanks! Daniel

  • Distance Between GIS Points

    - by Paul
I have a large number of GIS (latitude, longitude) coordinates, and I'd like to get the distance between them. Is there a service that will calculate the shortest path for me? I know about google maps, but I'd like something I can use from Python, and that can handle a large batch of requests at once. I'm looking for the driving distance, so a straight distance won't do. Thanks

  • Xcode - some variables don't show

    - by Mike
This picture shows a debugging session. "lista" is a NSMutableArray containing, in this case, two elements: 0 and 1. Each element's content is seen on the debugging window as {(unichar *)Xcode_CFStringSummary($VAR, $ID)}:s but if I double click on any element, its value shows on a pop up window. Why is the values don't showing directly? How to force Xcode to show the values instead of this stupid and useless "{(unichar *)Xcode_CFStringSummary($VAR, $ID)}:s" ? thanks for any help.
