• Are there any GOOD Chef, Chef-Server and Chef-Client tutorials out there?

  Hi there, Chef from Opscode seems to be really useful for configuring servers and such, but trying to follow their documentation is a little difficult. Some terms are defined after they are used, and definitions sometimes reference new terms that you haven't yet encountered. Anyone know of any GOOD tutorials/walk-throughs for getting a good understanding of Chef, Chef-Server and Chef-Client? I remember seeing one video presentation online, but it barely scratched the surface.

  Hi I have a table with two columns: column A column B 1 2 1 2 2 1 I want to return total of ones = 3 total of twos = 3 The best I can come up with is two queries like so: SELECT sum( CASE WHEN columnA =1 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END ) + sum(CASE WHEN columnB =1 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END ) SELECT sum( CASE WHEN columnA =2 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END ) + sum(CASE WHEN columnB =2 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END ) Can this be done in one query?   Hi all I have a program that creates a small file in the Bin directory for the purpose of tracking a license (that's the intention), all works fine when debugging but I've just realized that when I run it on a IIS server under the anonymous user account (IUSR) the file isn't created as IUSR only has read permission (I know this is correct but drat!). Can I write to another location under IUSR account or can I run my code under 'Local Service' account? Thanks

  Hi, I need to define an appender for log4net in a way that I get one log file for each day, but the total number of files are limited to, let's say, 30. That is I want to keep only the logs not older then 30 days, delete the older ones. I've tried doing it with RollingFileAppender, but it seems that specifying a limit of files to keep is not supported. Do you know of an alternative solution that I could use?
