  • Export CSV from Mysql

    - by ss888
    Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble exporting a csv file that is created from one of my mysql tables using php. The code I'm using prints the correct data, but I can't see how to download this data in a csv file, providing a download link to the created file. I thought the browser was supposed to automatically provide the file for download, but it doesn't. (Could it be because the below code is called using ajax?) Any help greatly appreciated - code below, S. include('../config/config.php'); //db connection settings $query = "SELECT * FROM isregistered"; $export = mysql_query ($query ) or die ( "Sql error : " . mysql_error( ) ); $fields = mysql_num_fields ( $export ); for ( $i = 0; $i < $fields; $i++ ) { $header .= mysql_field_name( $export , $i ) . "\t"; } while( $row = mysql_fetch_row( $export ) ) { $line = ''; foreach( $row as $value ) { if ( ( !isset( $value ) ) || ( $value == "" ) ) { $value = "\t"; } else { $value = str_replace( '"' , '""' , $value ); $value = '"' . $value . '"' . "\t"; } $line .= $value; } $data .= trim( $line ) . "\n"; } $data = str_replace( "\r" , "" , $data ); if ( $data == "" ) { $data = "\n(0) Records Found!\n"; } //header("Content-type: application/octet-stream"); //have tried all of these at sometime //header("Content-type: text/x-csv"); header("Content-type: text/csv"); //header("Content-type: application/csv"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=export.csv"); //header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=export.xls"); header("Pragma: no-cache"); header("Expires: 0"); echo '<a href="">Download Exported Data</a>'; //want my link to go in here... print "$header\n$data";

  • Node.js Cron Job Messing with Date Object

    - by PazoozaTest Pazman
    I'm trying to schedule several cron jobs to generate serial numbers for different entities within my web app. However I am running into this problem, when I'm looping each table, it says it has something to do with date.js. I'm not doing anything with a date object ? Not at this stage anyway. A couple of guesses is that the cron object is doing a date thing in its code and is referencing date.js. I'm using date.js to get access to things like ISO date. for (t in config.generatorTables) { console.log("t = " + config.generatorTables[t] + "\n\n"); var ts3 = azure.createTableService(); var jobSerialNumbers = new cronJob({ //cronTime: '*/' + rndNumber + ' * * * * *', cronTime: '*/1 * * * * *', onTick: function () { //console.log(new Date() + " calling topUpSerialNumbers \n\n"); manageSerialNumbers.topUpSerialNumbers(config.generatorTables[t], function () { }); }, start: false, timeZone: "America/Los_Angeles" }); ts3.createTableIfNotExists(config.generatorTables[t], function (error) { if (error === null) { var query = azure.TableQuery .select() .from(config.generatorTables[t]) .where('PartitionKey eq ?', '0') ts3.queryEntities(query, function (error, serialNumberEntities) { if (error === null && serialNumberEntities.length == 0) { manageSerialNumbers.generateNewNumbers(config.maxNumber, config.serialNumberSize, config.generatorTables[t], function () { jobSerialNumbers.start(); }); } else jobSerialNumbers.start(); }); } }); } And this is the error message I'm getting when I examine the server.js.logs\0.txt file: C:\node\w\WebRole1\public\javascripts\date.js:56 onsole.log('isDST'); return this.toString().match(/(E|C|M|P)(S|D)T/)[2] == "D" ^ TypeError: Cannot read property '2' of null at Date.isDST (C:\node\w\WebRole1\public\javascripts\date.js:56:110) at Date.getTimezone (C:\node\w\WebRole1\public\javascripts\date.js:56:228) at Object._getNextDateFrom (C:\node\w\WebRole1\node_modules\cron\lib\cron.js:88:30) at Object.sendAt (C:\node\w\WebRole1\node_modules\cron\lib\cron.js:51:17) at Object.getTimeout (C:\node\w\WebRole1\node_modules\cron\lib\cron.js:58:30) at Object.start (C:\node\w\WebRole1\node_modules\cron\lib\cron.js:279:33) at C:\node\w\WebRole1\server.js:169:46 at Object.generateNewNumbers (C:\node\w\WebRole1\utils\manageSerialNumbers.js:106:5) at C:\node\w\WebRole1\server.js:168:45 at C:\node\w\WebRole1\node_modules\azure\lib\services\table\tableservice.js:485:7 I am using this line in my database.js file: require('../public/javascripts/date'); is that correct that I only have to do this once, because date.js is global? I.e. it has a bunch of prototypes (extensions) for the inbuilt date object. Within manageSerialNumbers.js I am just doing a callback, their is no code executing as I've commented it all out, but still receiving this error. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

  • How to test if table was updated in Zend Framework?

    - by AD
    When user opens a form to modify a record, but instead of changing information, he just clicks the Update button. Which causes the update() function to return 0. However, I consider this case a valid update task. How would I test it, so I can assign a success message? Is update() returns -1 when SQL query failed or also 0? Method: Zend_Db_Table_Abstract::update() Any ideas? Thanks

  • How can i use the Orientation correct for images

    - by user3578109
    I´m learning android/java by myself @the moment and i have a problem with a part of my app i´m learning on. I made the code with help of the www and my problem is that if i open an image from the gallery it´s send to the edit activity but in the activity pictures what are made in portrait mode are displayed always wrong (90° to the right side).... The codes are Matrix private Bitmap rotateBitmapToOrientation(Bitmap b, int orientation){ Matrix matrix = new Matrix(); matrix.postRotate(orientation); Canvas offscreenCanvas = new Canvas(); offscreenCanvas.drawBitmap(b, matrix, null); return b; } and the other one @Override protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) { super.onActivityResult(requestCode, resultCode, data); switch (requestCode) { case PICK_IMAGE_FROM_GALLERY: { if (resultCode == RESULT_OK) { Log.d(TAG, "Got Picture!"); Log.d(TAG,"File type - " + data.getType()); Uri photoUri = data.getData(); if (photoUri != null) { try { String[] filePathColumn = {MediaStore.Images.Media.DATA}; String[] orientationColumn = {MediaStore.Images.Media.ORIENTATION}; int orientation = -1; Cursor cursor = getContentResolver().query(photoUri, filePathColumn, null, null, null); cursor.moveToFirst(); int columnIndex = cursor.getColumnIndex(filePathColumn[0]); String filePath = cursor.getString(columnIndex); cursor.close(); cursor = getContentResolver().query(photoUri, orientationColumn, null, null, null); if(cursor != null && cursor.moveToFirst()){ orientation = cursor.getInt(cursor.getColumnIndex(orientationColumn[0])); } cursor.close(); HashMap<String, Integer> pRes = this.getImageResolutionSetting(); Bitmap shrunkenBitmap = FileUtilsHelper.shrinkBitmap(filePath, pRes.get("width"), pRes.get("height")); shrunkenBitmap = rotateBitmapToOrientation(shrunkenBitmap, orientation); String res = FileUtilsHelper.saveBitmapAsJpeg(shrunkenBitmap, this); Log.d(TAG,"File Path: " + res); shrunkenBitmap.recycle(); Intent editImage = new Intent(this, EditImage.class); editImage.addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_FORWARD_RESULT); editImage.putExtra("stuff.path", res); startActivity(editImage); }catch(Exception e){ Toast.makeText(this, R.string.cant_save_image,Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } } } } break; } }} I don´t know what i´m doing wrong... • login not working when changing from mysql to mysqli

    - by user1438647
    I have a code below where it logs a teacher in by matching it's username and password in the database, if correct, then log in, if incorrect, then display a message. <?php session_start(); $username="xxx"; $password="xxx"; $database="mobile_app"; $link = mysqli_connect('localhost',$username,$password); mysqli_select_db($link, $database) or die( "Unable to select database"); foreach (array('teacherusername','teacherpassword') as $varname) { $$varname = (isset($_POST[$varname])) ? $_POST[$varname] : ''; } ?> <form action="<?php echo htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); ?>" method="post" id="teachLoginForm"> <p>Username</p><p><input type="text" name="teacherusername" /></p> <!-- Enter Teacher Username--> <p>Password</p><p><input type="password" name="teacherpassword" /></p> <!-- Enter Teacher Password--> <p><input id="loginSubmit" type="submit" value="Login" name="submit" /></p> </form> <?php if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { $query = " SELECT * FROM Teacher t WHERE (t.TeacherUsername = '".mysqli_real_escape_string($teacherusername)."') AND (t.TeacherPassword = '".mysqli_real_escape_string($teacherpassword)."') "; $result = mysqli_query($link, $query); $num = mysqli_num_rows($result); $loged = false; while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($result)) { if ($_POST['teacherusername'] == ($row['TeacherUsername']) && $_POST['teacherpassword'] == ($row['TeacherPassword'])) { $loged = true; } $_SESSION['teacherforename'] = $row['TeacherForename']; $_SESSION['teachersurname'] = $row['TeacherSurname']; $_SESSION['teacherusername'] = $row['TeacherUsername']; } if ($loged == true){ header( 'Location: menu.php' ) ; }else{ echo "The Username or Password that you Entered is not Valid. Try Entering it Again."; } mysqli_close($link); } ?> Now the problem is that even if the teacher has entered in the correct username and password, it still doesn't let the teacher log in. When the code above was the old mysql() code, it worked fine as teacher was able to login when username and password match, but when trying to change the code into mysqli then it causes login to not work even though username and password match. What am I doing wrong?

  • SQL to have one specific record at the top, all others below

    - by superdario
    Hey all, I am trying to put together a query that will display one specific record (found by the record's primary ID) at the top, and display all other records below it, sorted by date (I have "date_added" as one of the fields in the table, in addition to primary ID). I could do this with a UNION (first select would locate the record I want, and the other select would display all other records), but I'm wondering if is there perhaps a better way? I'm using Oracle, by the way.

  • How can you tell which columns are unused in ALL_TAB_COLS?

    - by thecoop
    When you query the ALL_TAB_COLS view on Oracle 9i, it lists columns marked as UNUSED as well as the 'active' table columns. There doesn't seem to be a field that explicitly says whether a column is UNUSED, or any view I can join to that lists the unused columns in a table. How can I easily find out which are the unused columns, so I can filter them out of ALL_TAB_COLS?
