  • Is there a better alternative to the Mongo shell?

    - by afvasd
Dear Everyone, Is there a better shell than the native mongo shell? When I press UP I am seeing ^[[A . Does the shell not support last query? Tabbing in the shell does not autocomplete either. Of course, if there's a shell with syntax highlighting that would be great Is there an alternative that has the following features? (Or at least has some of them).

  • Returning Null values with COUNT

    - by Randy B.
With this query, I get a result that is two short of the table because they are not included in count, and I would like get the NULL values in the result. To do this, I am pretty sure I need to use a subquery of some kind, but I am not sure how, since the attribute in question is an aggregate. SELECT Equipment.SerialNo , Name, COUNT(Assignment.SerialNo) FROM Equipment INNER JOIN Assignment ON Assignment.SerialNo = Equipment.SerialNo GROUP BY Equipment.SerialNo, Name

  • How does IIS persist a user's identity from page to page?

    - by Rising Star
Web pages are, by nature, state-less objects. When you click from page to page in an ASP.net application, each request for a page is treated as a brand-new request. We use things like cookies, session-variables, and query strings to maintain state from page to page. When you log in to an ASP.net web application using Windows Authentication, how does IIS persist your identity between pages?

  • sql - getting the id from a row based on a group by

    - by user85116
Table A tableAID tableBID grade Table B tableBID name description Table A links to Table b from the tableBID found in both tables. If I want to find the row in Table A, which has the highest grade, for each row in Table B, I would write my query like this: select max(grade) from TableA group by tableBID However, I don't just want the grade, I want the grade plus id of that row.

  • emacs local version control

    - by aaa
hello. I am wondering if there is local version control/snapshots for emacs independent of VC? let me clarify: every time I save buffer, I would like to be able to keep track of changes of each save in session. I know I can do something similar with backup files, but they are not automated like VC and a somewhat cumbersome. I have searched Google, but did not find the solution. Perhaps my query string was not good. Thanks

I can thus add a counter lies between condition and mine all the entires in the table.

  • Calculating average (AVG) and grouping by week on large data set takes too long

    - by caioiglesias
I'm getting average prices by week on 7 million rows, it's taking around 30 seconds to get the job done. This is the simple query: SELECT AVG(price) as price, yearWEEK(FROM_UNIXTIME(timelog)) as week from pricehistory where timelog > $range and product_id = $id GROUP BY week The only week that actually gets data changed and is worth averaging every time is always the last one, so this calculation for the whole period is a waste of resources. I just wanted to know if mysql has a tool to help out on this.

  • Efficiently store last X items in an MySQL Database

    - by Saif Bechan
I want to store the last 3 items in an MySQL database in an efficient way. So when the 4th item is stored the first should be deleted. The way I do this not is first run a query getting the items. Than check what I should do then insert/delete. There has to be a better way to do this. Any suggestions?
