These include making a deep copy of an arbitrary bean hierarchy (with nested lists and maps of beans), comparing two bean hierarchies for deep equality, and "transmorphing" one bean to another of a different class. Some possibilities include Apache Commons BeanUtils, Spring's BeanUtils, and Java's Bean support. Which libraries would you recommend?

  • Implications of using many USB web cameras

    I'm looking into connecting multiple low resolution USB webcams to a single computer. What implications might this have on performance? How does, for example, four 320x240 cameras fare against a single 640x480 camera? I'm not well versed in the architecture of the USB interface, what are the performance caveats? By performance I mean how would it affect the time to read the image data from multiple cameras compared to a single one.

    i have written a few junits with @Test annotation. If my test method throws a checked exception and if i want to assert the message along with the exception, is there a way to do so with JUNIT @Test annotation.AFAIK, Junit 4.7 doesnt provide this feature but does any future versions provide it. I know in .NET you can assert the message and the exception class. Looking for similar feature in the java world.   • C# / asp.net: What are your views on .net email components/suites out there?

    Found two libraries Rebex (www.rebex.net) and QuikSoft (www.quiksoft.com) any comments on these based on experience or other ones I havent not found? Looking for components that will use SMTP to send a lot of emails for general email notificatins and bulk mailshots. Built in templating would be nice. Also need to receive emails from various accounts. Having the ability to validate and check bounce backs etc would be good for reporting (appreciating that this isnt 100% effective)

  • Making a "Fuzzy border" in Silverlight 3.0

    I would like to have fuzzy looking border around my Canvas control. Basically, I am creating a Print Preview screen, and I want it to look almost exactly like the one in Word 2010. In this, there is a thin gray line, a thin orange line and then a fuzzy gradient around the outside of the page. Check it out and you will see what I mean. Can anyone tell me how I can do this with my Canvas control?

(NearMap’s monthly city PhotoMaps are captured at 3cm, 5cm, 7.5cm, or 10cm resolution) And what kind of systems/architecture is suitable to deliver those data/images? (say you are not Google, and want to implement this from scratch, what would you do? ) ie. would you store the images in Hadoop, and use memcache to deliver etc ?

    hello, i'm currently looking at a little 3rd-party javascript library and i see a lot of "sign-prefixed" variables in it: function_call(+value); i know, that you can swap the sign, if you prefix a variable with '-', but why to prefix something with a '+' -- it doesn't do anything to the value, no? thanks in advance!
