Is there aany other way to use custom cursors? How efficient/usable would it be to hide the cursor and show a png instead?

I tried doing it this way: tell application "Address Book" set AppleScript's text item delimiters to "space" get the note of person in group "Test Group" end tell but the result is {"Test 1 Test 2"} I'm looking for : {"Test1","Test2"} What am I doing incorrect?

  • What is an efficient way to find a non-colliding rectangle nearest to a location

    For a 2D game I am working on, I am using y axis sorting in a simple rectangle-based collision detection. This is working fine, and now I want to find the nearest empty rectangle at a given location with a given size, efficiently. How can I do this? Is there an algorithm? I could think of a simple brute force grid test (with each grid the size of the empty space we're looking for) but obviously this is slow and not even a complete test.

  • RESTful resource not found. 404 or 204? Jersey returns 204 on null being returned from handler.

    If you are looking for /Resource/Id and that resource does not exist, I had always though that 404 was the appropriate response. However, when returning "null" from a Jersey handler, I get back a "204 No Content". I can likely work with either one, but am curious to others thoughts on this. To answer my own next question. To get jersey to return 404 you must throw an exception. if (a == null) throw new WebApplicationException(404);

    Hi, I'm working on a 3D graphical application in Java using the Java 3D API. I noticed that every time I was dealing with transparency, all I got in return were some clipping problems. The UI should display something similar to Firebugs "Network" tab, showing request/response headers and content as plaintext. I have a simple application in mind that needs a GUI but I want to make sure it's portable to Linux/Windows/Mac equally well and with minimal (no) change for each platform. wxD is looking like the contender of choice because I know the wx toolkit already. I see fltk4d as a contender and a (unfinished) wrapper around Qt.     Is there a particular flag that we can use to prevent apps showing up in marketplace which require the phone to have a camera flash /LED? Typical apps are ones which make the phone act like a torchlight in dark. I have seen a tag which prevents apps requiring autofocus in a camera from appearing in the marketplace. Just looking to find out if there is something similar for camera flash.
