  Currently I am running Solr by just opening up a cmd prompt on my windows 2008 server, and running java -jar start.jar. This seems like a hack, since if I reboot my server I have to go and manually restart it. Is there a way for me to automate the startup for this?

  On my Windows 7 64bit Pro install, for no apparent reasons, all menus suddenly align with their right side lined up with the menu item, rather than the traditional left side. This happens regardless of what may be crowding the screen or menus. If I maximize the app, all the first sets of menu items will open with their menu slammed against the left side of the screen. When that happens, the program needs to be killed and restarted. Is there a program for Windows, which can be used to detect automatically that a specific application hogs all the CPU, and would then automatically kill and restart that application?
