  • String to DateTime in C# to save in SQL server

    - by Ashwani K
Hello All: I am an issue while converting "March 16-17" to DateTime and saving it to SQL server. "March 16-17" as it looks, read as March 16 to March 17, which in my case is invalid, but C# DateTime.TryParse() is treating "March 16 -17" as March 16, 2017 which is wrong, and saving the data in SQL server. SQL server treats "March 16-17" as invalid. So, can some body tell me how to use SQL server datetime validation in C#. Thanks Ashwani

  • Saving a project as an .ipa

    - by itai alter
Hello all! I wrote an app for the iPad, but I don't currently own an iPad. I would like to save my project as an .ipa file (assuming it's .ipa for the iPad, like the iPhone) so I could send it to a friend with a Jailbroken iPad to test it on an actual device before I release it to the App Store. Is there any way I can do this? Thanks a bunch!

  • iPhone: scale UIView about a specific point

    - by Greg Maletic
I want to animate the scaling down of a UIView, but not about its center: about a different point. As a shot in the dark, I tried translating the view, scaling, then translating back, using a series of CGAffineTransforms. But it doesn't work: it still scales about the center. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks very much.

    - by John Himmelman
I need to lookup the Zip Code for a list of addresses (which include the city/state). Is there a master zip code list for download (that is free) or are there any web services that will return the full postage info for an address. Ie, lookup query: 386 Bread & Cheese Hollow Rd, Northport, NY ==== 386 Bread And Cheese Hollow Rd, Northport, NY 11768 Thanks!

  • Swing verify code on event dispatch thread at runtime

    - by Jeff Storey
Are there any libraries that instrument code to verify that methods called on swing components are called on the event dispatch thread? It probably wouldn't be too difficult to write some basic code for doing this, but I'm sure there are edge cases and whatnot that other people have handled. I'm looking for this at runtime though, not for unit tests. thanks, Jeff

  • Using Office 2007 extension (i.e. docx) for skin based On-Screen keyboard.

    - by Peymankh
Hi guys, I'm creating a On-Screen keyboard for my application, and it supports skins as well. Here's what I'm doing with the skins, I have a folder which contains some images and a xml file which maps the images to the keyboard, I want to be able to have the folder as a zip file like in Office 2007 (.docx) and iPhone firmwares (.ipsw), I know I can simply zip the folder and change the extension, what I need to know is how to read the files in the code. Thanks in advance.

  • Errors caught by WBT, but not BBT and vice versa

    - by David Relihan
Hi Folks, Can you think of one type of error that might be found using White-Box testing, and one type using Black-Box testing. i.e. an error that would be found by one and not the other. For WBT there would null else statements, but what would you catch with BBT and not WBT??? BTW this question is just based on my own personal study - I'm not getting free marks out of this!!!! Thanks,

  • Where is the iPhone app EULA displayed for the user?

    - by Shanra
I am planning to submit an iPhone app for certain special purpose calculations. I want to add a legal disclaimer about the calculations somewhere so that the user can see it atleast once before starting to use the app. Should this go into the EULA that may be submitted as part of app submission process? Or should that be a one time screen shown when the app is started first time? What is the right way? Thanks for responses.

  • (resolved) empty response body in ajax (or 206 Partial Content)

    - by Nikita Rybak
Hi guys, I'm feeling completely stupid because I've spent two hours solving task which should be very simple and which I solved many times before. But now I'm not even sure in which direction to dig. I fail to fetch static content using ajax from local servers (Apache and Mongrel). I get responses 200 and 206 (depending on the server), empty response text (although Content-Length header is always correct), firebug shows request in red. Javascript is very generic, I'm getting same results even here: http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/tryit.asp?filename=tryajax_first (just change document location to 'http://localhost:3000/whatever') So, it's probably not the cause. Well, now I'm out of ideas. I can also post http headers, if it'll help. Thanks! • Web pages show empty band across the top

    - by Gerry
In Chrome, site http://www.helpinghandspeople.com has a 16px empty band (background colour shows) across the top of the page. It's not supposed to be there, but I can't figure out how to make it go away. In Firefox, the home page shows fine, but login and a few other pages show a 24px band. Viewing source and running inspect element are not helpful. Does anyone have a suggestion where to look? Thanks Gerry

  • Is this a Java DateFormat bug?

    - by anonymous
The pattern is "dd-MM-yyyy" I think the string "01-01-2010mwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" does not satisfy the pattern, but the following code shows the contrary. Anyone can explain why? public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { SimpleDateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("dd-MM-yyyy"); Date date = df.parse("01-01-2010mwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"); System.out.println(date); } Thanks
