When I try to install it in one of my friend's system it is asking about windows installer is not installed and .net framework also not installed messages.     Hi, how can i write a regular expression to validate name field in a multilingual web application, i want to validate the name field for non-English languages e.g. Spanish or German, and we need to make sure that no one enter digits or special characters. I'm using .NET. I believe we can't use expression as below for non-English language. ^[a-zA-Z]{1,20}$ Any help will be highly appreciated!

    Hello, I'm working on .net project and writing an application that interacts with database. I currently have some SQL statements in the code and I want to put these statements in separate file with solution. So, later when the application gets deployed, and if I want to update SQL statements, I could just update the statements in the file and just replace the file instead of redeploying the whole solution.     I need to get the path (not the executable) where my application is running from: System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory() When I run the above statement with & "/images/image.jpg" on my local machine it works fine but when I install the application on another machine it says it cannot find the file and there is a lot of extra path information some. I just need the directory of where the app is running. I am coding in VB.NET with Visual Studio 2008. Thanks!

    Hi, I'm not familiar with Java but I need to make a request to a remote webservice from within my applet. The webservice (.Net 1.1) uses HttpContext.Current.Request.UserLanguages[0] to determine the language to use. But the value of this member is alway null. So is there a way to pass the Accept-Language header along with something like "en-GB" set?

I don't understand in .net why we have Asychronous calling (delegate.BeginInvoke() & delegate.EndInvoke()) as well as Thread class? I'm little confused which one to use when?     I'm trying to get a query string from a shared function in a code-behind model using VB.NET. You have to use HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString("Query") in order to get it from a shared function, however doing HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString.Count gives back 0, which obviously isn't right in my case as there's many that exist. Is there some sort of issue with using this static call from a shared function?
