    I imagine I should use Regex for that but I still scratch my head a lot about it (and the only similar question I found wasn't exactly my case) so I decided to ask for help. This is the input and expected output: Input: "c-0.68219,-0.0478 -1.01455-0.0441 0.2321e-4,0.43212" Output:"c -0.68219,-0.0478 -1.01455 -0.0441 0.2321e-4,0.43212" Basically I need either commas or spaces as value separators, but I can't break the exponential index (e-4). Maybe do two successive replacements?

  • Find out how much storage a row is taking up in the database

    Is there a way to find out how much space (on disk) a row in my database takes up? I would love to see it for SQL Server CE, but failing that SQL Server 2008 works (I am storing about the same data in both). The reason I ask is that I have a Image column in my SQL Server CE db (it is a varbinary[max] in the SQL 2008 db) and I need to know now many rows I can store before I max out the memory on my device.

I like it so much that it I am seriously considering it to be part of my default architecture in new projects. I ask because it seems that the question was resolved for the poster, but he never shared with us how he actually popped up the menu :)

    Is it possible to limit the number of JMS receiver instances to a single instance? I.e. only process a single message from a queue at any one time? The reason I ask is because I have a fairly intensive render type process to run for each message (potentially many thousands).     I have a class: class test { function __construct() { print 'hello'; } function func_one() { print 'world'; } } what I would like to do is a have a class that sort of extends the test class. I say 'sort of', because the class needs to be able to run whatever function the test class is able to run, but NOT run the construct unless I ask it to. I do not want to override the construct. Anyone has any idea how to achieve this?

    Hi all, Sorry to ask this as I thought I knew the answer, I want to exit the program if userName is greater than 4 characters or userName is not an account called student. However this even if the userName is only 3 characters and is not student I'm still hitting Application.Exit. What am I doing wrong? if (userName.Length > 4 | userName != "student") { Application.Exit(); } Shame on me :-(

  • Should I worry about running out of HierarchyIDs?

    When you ask for a new HierarchyID between two others, the result gets progressively longer. For example, between 2/5.6 and 2/5.7 there's only 2/5.6.1 and other 4 component paths. The HierarchyID data type is limited to 800 some bytes, so you can't repeat this forever. Then again, integer types are also limited, but it isn't a problem in practice. Should I periodically defragment my table so that height doesn't grow unbounded?
