    Is there a benchmark available how much relative time each instruction costs in a single-thread, average-case scenario (either with or without JIT compiler), for the JVM (any version) by Sun? If there is not a benchmark already available, how can I get this information? E.g.: TIME iload_1 1 iadd 12 getfield 40 etc. Where getfield is equivalent to 40 iload_1 instructions.

  • HTML 5 Video Error Media Src Not Supported

    So I was working on a toy website (http://nirmalpatel.com/yeah/index.html). If you check the source, you can see that I have linked a m4v and ogg version. When I load this page from my own computer using a url that starts with file:// the page works fine in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. However, after I upload all of the videos and the HTML to my server Firefox stops working. I don't think it's a permissions issue as both videos have the same permission.

  • YouTube .Net API - Not getting correct View Counts

    I've managed to plug away through the YouTube documentation, and have managed to successfully implement the majority of what I want to work. My question is, I get the video View count and it comes back lower than the actual video on YouTube. It was fine this morning and both showed correctly, but now my version is out by 4 views. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or can tell me if they update the values every 5/10/15/24 hours?

    I have inlcuded a JQuery Lightbox plugin on my first site and for some reason it is not showing the gallery images on click. the first one works but the others are blank. I built the site in Dreamweaver and it worked fine in testing on Safari and Firefox but the live version isn't playing ball. Any suggestions.

    I've read that the C# version is as follows: Application.Current.Dispatcher.Invoke( DispatcherPriority.Background, new Action(delegate { })); However I cannot figure out how to put the empty delegate into VB.NET, as VB.NET does not appear to support anonymous methods.   • SPAZ to connect to Laconica

    I installed a local version of Laconica microblogging in my env. Then I downlowaded SPAZ (an AIR client) to try and talk to the Laconica app. I get an authenitcation error. I have put in the appropriate credentials - I think :) But I think that I have to alter the API and base URL for connecting. Ayone have any thoughts on how to make these two apps talk ?     I've tried psvn.el, but the command to diff the file you're currently looking at is just hideous: M-x svn-file-show-svn-diff. I tried installing vc-svn.el, but couldn't get that working on my version of Emacs: GNU Emacs 21.3.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2004-03-10 on NYAUMO. The emacs wiki page, which mainly focuses on vc-svn.el, seems to be horribly out of date, as many of the links do not work.

For sake of simplication for this post, the count is not static, but it does not change anything.

    I have a Qt application that I can compile in Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit and on Windows. However, I would like to avoid switching to Windows every time I want to compile the Windows version. Is there a way I can compile a Windows Qt executable in Ubuntu with mingw32 or something? Further, is there a way to integrate that compiler into Qt Creator?

  • Not able to create a datasource registration with WAMP MysQL 5.0 in DBArtisan

    I try in a test version of DBArtisan to set up a datasource and register both servere as localhost, database to use, my username and password, but, when testing the connection, I get message that connection failed. Hooking up from eg. Delphi and other utilities run nicely. But not DBArtisan, Is MySQL 5.0 not supported yet ?? Or is it WAMP that is the culprit naming the service wampmysqld insted of just mysqld ??

  • How to use ';' in urls, using Google Appengine

    Using the local dev server, I can use ';' in urls, but as soon as I try the live version hosted by Google, it looks like the ';' and everything afterward is stripped (at least according to request.path_qs). (I would prefer not to encode them if possible, it's much less user friendly if the url cannot be constructed by copy-pasting, especially since other characters works fine, e.g. ':').
