• Foreign Keys Duplicated in DataGridView

- by John Doe
I created a Windows Forms Application to which I added a DataGridView and LINQ to SQL Classes from one of my databases. I can successfully bind one of my database's tables to my DataGridView: var dataSource = from c in _db.NetworkedEquipments select c; dataGridView1.DataSource = dataSource; However, the foreign keys get duplicated, that is, the columns appear twice. How can I prevent this?

• CPU ordering in Linux (with hyper threading)

- by Jason
I'm curious what the CPU ordering is in Linux. Say I bind a thread to cpu0 and another to cpu1 on a hyperthreaded system, are they both going to be on the same physical core. Given a Core i7 920 with 4 cores and hyperthreading, the output of /proc/cpuinfo has me thinking that cpu0 and cpu1 are different physical cores, and cpu0 and cpu4 are on the same physical core. Thanks.

• How to autostart this slide

- by lchales
Hello there: first of all i have no idea on coding or anything related, simple question: is there any simple way to tell this code to autostart the slide? at the current moment the images change on click. currently the index page only have one image, what i want is to add a few but without the need to click to see the next one here is the code from my index: // $(function() { var $tf_bg = $('#tf_bg'), $tf_bg_images = $tf_bg.find('img'), $tf_bg_img = $tf_bg_images.eq(0), $tf_thumbs = $('#tf_thumbs'), total = $tf_bg_images.length, current = 0, $tf_content_wrapper = $('#tf_content_wrapper'), $tf_next = $('#tf_next'), $tf_prev = $('#tf_prev'), $tf_loading = $('#tf_loading'); • WPF DataGrid Get All SelectedRows

- by anvarbek raupov
Have to use free WPF DataGrid (I thought Infragistics libraries are bad, I take it back after this) for this project of mine. Looks like DataGrid doesnt have clean MVVM Friendly way of getting the list of selectedRows ? I can data bind to SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedSourceFile}" but this only shows the 1st selected row. Need to be able to get all selected rows. Any hints to do it cleanly via MVVM ?

• how to .call() on the unnamed function in javascript?

- by Anonymous
Let's suppose I have button #click, And suppose I bind the on click event as follows: $('#click').click(function(){ alert('own you'+'whatever'+$(this).attr('href')); }); But I want this to refer to some other element, let's say #ahref. If it was a named function I would simply refer it by name: foo.call('#ahref'); How could I use .call() though, if the function is called inline and does not have a name?

• Fill 4 input with one textarea

- by Patrice Poliquin
I have a question for the community. My problem is that I have 4 input files with a maxlength of 60 caracters for a total of 240 caracters. Because the "backend" of the customer's system, it need to be 4 differents inputs max to be inserted and they say it is not user-friendly to fill 4 fields. My solution I want to make a textarea and when you fill it, il complete the 4 fields. [input text #1] max60 [input text #2] max60 [input text #3] max60 [input text #4] max60 [textarea max 240] What I am trying to do is to make by javascript/jQuery to fill up the four field while typing in. At the moment, here is my code. $(document).ready(function() { // My text area $("#inf_notes").bind('keydown', function () { var maxLength = 240; if ($(this).val().length <= 60) { // The first 60 caracters $('#inf_notes_1').val($(this).val()); } if ($(this).val().length > 60 && $(this).val().length <= 120) { // If more then 60, fill the second field $('#inf_notes_2').val($(this).val()); } // If 121 - 180 ... // If 181 - 240 ... if($(this).val().length == 240) { $(this).val($(this).val().substring(0, maxLength)); $('.alert_textarea').show(); // Simple alert else { $('.alert_textarea').hide(); } }); }); It actually works for the first one, but I would like to have some feedbacks to help me complete the script to fill the 3 nexts. Any guess to complete it? -- EDIT #1 I found a way that could maybe work! When the first input is completly filled, it will jump to the next field with a .focus() $(".inf_notes").bind('keydown', function () { var notes1 = $('#inf_notes_1').val(); var notes2 = $('#inf_notes_2').val(); var notes3 = $('#inf_notes_3').val(); if (notes1.length == 60) { $('#inf_notes_2').focus(); } if (notes2.length == 60) { $('#inf_notes_3').focus(); } if (notes3.length == 60) { $('#inf_notes_4').focus(); } });

• How can I get an Active Directory data code from System.DirectoryServices[.Protocols]?

When using .Protocols, I can run the following pseudocode to authenticate to an AD: try { LdapConnection c = new LdapConnection("User", "Password"); c.Bind(); } catch (LdapException le) { Debug.WriteLine(le.ResultCode); } This code will allow me to get the "Invalid Credentials" error string, and the AD code "49", but I need to get the additional data errors similar to an LDAP Java client : [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C09030F, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data **525**, vece ] 525 – user not found 52e – invalid credentials (bad password) 530 – logon time restriction 532 – password expired 533 – account disabled 701 – account expired 773 – user must reset password

• WPF Binding to IDictionary<int,MyType>.Values Doesn't Respond to Property Changes?

- by Phil Sandler
I am binding a ListView a property that essentially wraps the Values collection (ICollection) on a generic dictionary. When the values in the dictionary change, I call OnNotifyPropertyChanged(property). I don't see the updates on the screen, with no binding errors. When I change the property getter to return the Linq extension dictionary.Values.ToList(), without changing the signature of the property (ICollection) it works with no problem. Any reason why the Values collection bind and notify properly without projecting to an IList<?

• Grails populate params with XML from POST request

I have a RestFull grails api that i expose through grails Controller. I need to automatically bind the xml data sent in a POST request. I don't think using groovy bindData(object, params) works as the params reference seems not having the xml elements. i use the parseRequest=true in the UrlMappings but yet the params Object does'nt have the xml elements. am i missing some other config so that my params object get automatically populated with the xml body elements?

• execl doesn't work in a while(1) cicle, server side; C script

- by Possa
Hi guys, I have a problem with a little C script who should run as a server and launch a popup for every message arriving. The execl syntax is correct because if I try a little script with main() { execl(...); } it works. When I put it in a while(1) cicle it doesn't work. Everything else is working, like printf or string operation, but not the execl. Even if I fork it doesn't work. I really don't know what I can do ... can anyone help me? Thanks in advice for your help and sorry for my bad english. I was wondering if someone would know something a bit more automatic/intelligent than /etc/hosts and less complex and iron forged as BIND. Thank you for your feedback and answers!
