  • How to work with images(png's) of size 2-4Mb.

    I am working with images of size 2 to 4MB. I want to edit image of resolution 1200x1600. performing scaling, traslation and rotation operations. I want to another images on that and saving it to photo album. My app is crashing(giving memory warning) after i successfully edit one image and save to album. I have releasing some images when i get memory warning. But still it crashes as i am working with 2 images of size 3MB each and context of size 1200x1600 and getting a image from the context at the same time. Is there any way to compress images and work with it by performing scaling, traslation and rotation operations?

Oh :) Before someone suggests I create those two folders and even stick a random file in those folders .. and have some random text in those random files .. i've done that and it doesn't seem to work, still :( Please Help !

  • How to manipulate the default behaviour of jQuery Imageflow?

    Some of you sure know the jQuery-Plugin Imageflow on hxxp://finnrudolph.de/ImageFlow/ (sorry for that, I definitely need to gain reputation, working on it ;)) The default behaviour is that the images within the image-container (which has 100% width in this case) will be resized according to the image-container. There's an option to declare the distance between every image and it would be much better, if this value would be encreased and decreased with the window-resize-event. Everything seems to happen in a function called "moveTo" which is unfortunately also responsible for the resizing when moving to another image. I tried it since hours now but I don't come to a solution. Find the source-code here, and the mentioned function "moveTo" on line 554. Thank your very much for any help! Tim

  • Image storage social network (Host plan)

    I'm wondering what the best way is to host images on a social network site. Let's say that I expect my social network to reach 500.000 users in 2 years time. That would mean that if every user uploaded about 100 images and every image is 1 MB that I will have to need: 500.000 * 100 * 1 MB = 50.000.000 MB which means 50 terabytes. I'm not sure how I can best setup my hosting plan in order to have a solid bases to store my images and eventually store video files as well. Which hosting plan would you recommend me to start with and how can I enhance the plan?

  • Remove English - United States language from Firefox

    How do I remove the English (United States) dictionary from Firefox? It's not an add-on so I'm guessing it's built into Firefox by default. Maybe that makes it unremovable? I noticed whilst typing a Hotmail email in Firefox that the default language seems to be English/United States. As I am from the UK I thought I would add in the English/United Kingdom dictionary, which I have. This is now the default language and I don't need the US dictionary. Firefox 3.6.2 on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.

For workaround I add a dummy method to WebService that return ChildClass to generate proxy for ChildClass in client. public class WebService{ ... //This is a dummy method to generate proxy for ChildClass in client. public ChildClass DummyWebMethod(){ return null; } } In addition I write web service in java (JAX-WS) and my client is a SilverLight Application.   • What is your favorite colorscheme FOR PROGRAMMING in Vim?

    I think this is a relevant question for programmers and I'd like to hear other people's answers because some syntax highlighting color schemes are better on the eyes than others. This can affect productivity as much as ergonomic keyboards or anything else on here. It's about comfort and productivity. So, I'm curious. Do you find some color schemes better adapted for some languages over others? At the other end of the spectrum, I think coding without syntax highlight is awful and slow going.     There is a function in called SHCreateShellItem which is declared in <shlobj.h>, but it has been #ifdef'd out based on whether or not _WIN32_IE is greater than or equal to 0x601 (if it is, then the declaration is present). However, even when I define _WIN32_IE to 0x601 before I include <shlobj.h>, MSVC++ still complains that SHCreateShellItem is undeclared.     Hi! Im trying to implement a progressive download audio player for the iphone, ie using http and fixed size mp3-files. I found the AudioStreamer project but it seems very complicated and works best with endless streams. I need to be able to find out the total length of audiofiles and I also need to be able to seek in the files. Is there an easy way to do this or am I going about this the wrong way? (note: this is a console project only, no GUI) ========== code edited I've changed the code to the above following the recommendations, and it works almost as I expect however the thread still doesnt seem to end properly. I was the while loop would die and control would eventually come back to the main method. Any ideas?

    Hi, I used this mktrashcan command mktrashcan deleteMe1 trashcan/ And then i Deleted all the contents inside deleteMe1 directory(rm -rf*).. But then what happend is only the two text files which are inside the deleteMe1(deleteMe2.txt, deleteMe3.txt) directory were moved into the trashcan folder.. Rest of the directories and files inside the directories were not foundd!! Isn't there any other way, so that whatever is deleted, moves exactly the same way to the trashcan directory???
