  • Protocol error in TDS stream

    What are the possible causes of this type of error - "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Protocol error in TDS stream"? And how can this be fixed? My application runs in C++ calling stored procedures implemented in SQL Server. There's this one SP (containing select and update statements) that causes this problem, after which all succeeding queries will return that the cursor is in an invalid state. I've checked the SP but I don't see any possible problem.

  • Can Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package be freely redistributed

    I am planning to use py2exe to make an application developped with Python 2.6. It seems that my app need the VC redistribuables : http://www.py2exe.org/index.cgi/Tutorial#Step5 I've read this tutorial and the redistribuables license agreement and I am not sure if I can freely redistribute these files with my program. (I don't have VS2008 license) Can I bundle the redistribs into an installer and make the installation transparent for the user or do they have to download the files by their own from Microsoft website? Is it good practice not to use break operator here ? I don't want to turn off "unreachable code detected" warning. PS: There are many case in my ProcessCmdKey method.

  • Zend Framework - validators are not working anymore?

    Eariler I happily used the following code for creating form elements (inside Zend_Form descendant): //Set for options $this->setOptions(array( 'elements' => array( 'title' => array( 'type' => 'text', 'options' => array( 'required' => true, 'label' => 'Title', 'filters' => array('StringTrim'), 'validators' => array( array('StringLength', false, array('minLength'=>1, 'maxLength'=>50)), ), ) ) )); But now I've noticed that validators are not working.. I suspect this might be due to zend updates.. Does anyone face this problem?

  • ReSharper 5 disable resolve view

    I just did a fresh installation of Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and ReSharper 5. But now ran into the following situation; return View("~/Plugin/Plugin.Product.dll/Plugin.Product.Views.CreateProduct.ascx"); From a controller i'm returning a view a shown above. ReSharper 5 is trying to resolve this view, but can't find it. Which is explainable in my situation. What i want is to disable the option for ReSharper to try and resolve the views. Is this possible?

    There are two variables in our database called OB and B2B_OB. There are EP codes and each EP may have one of the following 4 combinations: EP OB B2B_OB --- -- ------ 3 X 7 X 11 14 X X What I want to do is to combine the X's in the fetched list so that I can have A or B value for a single EP. My conditions are: IF (OB IS NULL AND B2B_OB IS NULL) THEN TYPE = A IF (OB IS NOT NULL OR B2B_OB IS NOT NULL) THEN TYPE = B The list I want to fetch is like this one: EP TYPE --- ---- 3 B 7 B 11 A 14 B How can I do this in my query?     Last summer, I asked a question regarding how to add new object to an IList mapped as a one-to-many with NHibernate. One of the answers let me to this paragraph in the documentation: Please note that NHibernate does not support bidirectional one-to-many associations with an indexed collection (list, map or array) as the "many" end, you have to use a set or bag mapping. While I am pretty sure I understand what this paragraph says, I have no idea why or how to work around this limitation. As I am now again working with a model that seems to require a "bidirectional one-to-many association with an index collection", I figured the time was right for follow-up questions: Why does NHibernate have this limitation on associations? It is my impression that the guys behind NHibernate are quite clever, so I assume there is a pretty good reason. What are the common workarounds for this shortcoming? Making the collection a non-indexed bag and adding an explicit Position property to the child class? Any better solutions?

    I have the column DateTimeExpired, and I would like to create another column called "Expired" which will show "Yes" or "No" according to the expiration date - "Yes" if the date has already passed. I wrote this: DataColumn colExpirationDate = new DataColumn("DateTimeExpired", typeof(DateTime)); DataColumn colExpired = new DataColumn("Expired", typeof(string), "IIF(DateDiff(DateTimeExpired, date())>= 0,'No','Yes')"); But I get an exception "The expression contains undefined function call DateDiff()." (please note that I always want to get the row, no matter if it's expired or not) How do I set the column's text to the correct form? Thanks!

    I am trying to get this script to work. it opens up a directry and lists the files in the directory. I have copied this code from somewhere else and the problem is that this php file is hosted on an apache server not my localhost. what is the correct $dir_name = "c:/"; to use?   • What's the environment variable for the path to the desktop?

    I'm writing a Windows batch file and want to copy something to the desktop. I think I can use this: %UserProfile%\Desktop\ However, I'm thinking, that's probably only going to work on an English OS. Is there a way I can do this in a batch file that will work on any internationalized version?     The input XML tag must be validated for a pattern which is like this: type : positive int / decimal, minimum length is 0, max length is 12(before decimal point), fraction digits are optional if exist then precision must be 2. This means both positive integer and Decimal numbers(2 digit precision) are allowed. so the acceptable values can be like, null, 0, 0.00, 1234567890, 123456789012, 123456789012.12, invalid values are: 0.000, 1234567890123(13 digits - invalid), The pattern I have designed is: <xs:pattern value="|([0-9]){12}|([0-9]){12}[.][0-9][0-9]"/> The problem with this pattern is, it doesn't allow the number with string-length less than 12, it says "1234567890" is an invalid value, where as it must be allowed!

Now I am doing the file encryption for File.txt gpg --symmetric File.txt Now I got File.txt.gpg file , which is encrypted. My doubt, if some open that file and did someone changes in that I am not able get file content . It says my following things. $ gpg --decrypt File.txt.gpg gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found. gpg: decrypt_message failed: eof I want my file content , even though some body has done changes in that . what should I do for this problem....?

  • How to stop the Bottle webserver when started from subprocess

    Hello all, I would like to embed the great Bottle web framework into a small application (1st target is Windows OS). This app starts the bottle webserver thanks to the subprocess module. import subprocess p = subprocess.Popen('python websrv.py') The bottle app is quite simple @route("/") def index(): return template('index') run(reloader=True) It starts the default webserver into a Windows console. All seems Ok except the fact that I must press Ctrl-C to close the bottle webserver. I would like that the master app terminates the webserver when it shutdowns. I can't find a way to do that (p.terminate() doesn't work in this case unfortunately) Any idea? Thanks in advance

  • Some images fails to load on Windows Server 2008

    I have an application running on a Windows Server 2008, that is processing uploaded images. Currently it successfully processes about 8000 images per day, creating 11 different sizes of each image. The problem that I have is that sometimes the application fails to load some images, I get the error "System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException: A generic error occurred in GDI+.". The upload only accepts files with a JPEG extension (jpg/jpeg/jpe) or with a JPEG MIME type, and from what I can tell those images are really JPEG images. If I look at the image file in windows explorer on the server, it can successfully extract the thumbnail from the file, but if I try to open it, I get the error message "This is not a valid bitmap file, or it's format is not currently supported." from Paint. If I copy the image to my own computer, running Windows 7, there is no problem opening the image. It works in Paint, Windows Photo Viewer, Adobe Bridge, and Photoshop. If I try to load the image using Image.FromStream the same way as in the application running on the server, it loads just fine. (I have copied the file back to the server, and it still doesn't work, so there is nothing in the copying process that changes it.) When I look at the image information in Bridge, I see that the images are created using Picasa 3.0, but other than that I can't see anything special about them. I haven't yet found anyone having the same problem, or any known problems like this with the Picasa application. Has anyone had any similar problem, or know if there is something special about images created using Picasa? Is there any image codec that needs installing on the server to handle all kinds of JPEG images?

  • On-screen keyboard not appearing when editing text fields in a UIWebView

    I have a web view which displays a simple login form, containing username and password fields. However when the user clicks in one of the text fields, although the cursor appears in the text field, the on-screen keyboard does not appear. I've tried registering for UIKeyboardWillShowNotifications notifications and I see this notification arrive, however the keyboard doesn't actually appear on the screen. I've also tried sending the web view to the back of the view hierarchy and changing it's frame so it doesn't occupy the whole screen. However neither of these measures have solved the problem. What would people recommend trying next?
