  • WPF Application doesn't work on some machines: Stopped working error

    My WPF application works fine on a number of machines, but now I get a report about this error on a user machine: Description: Stopped working Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: mysoftware.exe Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.1 Problem Signature 03: 4bbcd9d9 Problem Signature 04: PresentationFramework Problem Signature 05: 3.0.0.0 Problem Signature 06: 4a174fbc Problem Signature 07: 624f Problem Signature 08: e1 Problem Signature 09: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParse OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 I was trying to catch Exception using Application DispatcherUnhandledException but this didn't help. And warping Window1 constructor in try/catch block too. .NET Framework 3.5 is installed on that machine. How can I figure out the reason of crashing: log this error, debug, ...?

  • Easier way to add lots of images to an array

    Hey Guys In an effort to 'clean up' my code - I was wondering if this could be made simpler. I have 32 images and I was adding them like this [theCarPics addObject:[UIImage imageNamed:@"1.jpg"]]; [theCarPics addObject:[UIImage imageNamed:@"2.jpg"]]; //... [theCarPics addObject:[UIImage imageNamed:@"32.jpg"]]; is there a simpler way? loop perhaps? Any ideas would be appreciated guys Thanks Sam

  • multiple modules under one solution

    I have a project under which various distributed applications are placed; the whole project is under a single dll. Hence, if any issue occurs we need to re-build the whole application to run or import to our server. I am looking for the best possible way to make the build process faster and also bit worried about the size of the DLL. Is it a good way to have separate dll for all the modules or split the application in multiple projects??? Can, anyone suggest the best way or example to deal with this situation.   • Objective-C Interface Builder don't see renamed class

    Hi, I've renamed a UITableViewController class in Xcode, which was used as a parent class in a XIB. The Interface Builder still uses the old name for that class and it compiles and works fine. Interface Builder doesn't see the new name of the class and when I try to type in manually, it compiles and gives me an exception at the runtime: "Unknown class ... in Interface Builder file." Is there a way to update the class name in the Interface Builder? Thanks

  • How to override browser default download behavior for files?

    Lots of times we have to download files from the net. In IE we get to see the ugly download progress bar. In firefox we get to see a pop-up window opening etc. However, I have never seen this being over ridden in any manner. Until recently on the site *thesixtyone DOT com* If we get to download a song free and click on the ok link to start the download we get a pop up to select location in the default style of windows.   • Entity data field validation and part data submission

    I have an entity class that has 10 fields. I am using MS Validation Application block to mark all fields as mandatory (IsRequired). I am implementing a securiy feature in which during updation of the data, not all the fields in the entity class will have data. For example a few users can only view 5 fileds while others all 10 fields during updation on GUI I have the following options 1) Bring all the data for all the fields from the DB table and hide the ones not accessible to the users in GUI. I am concerned about the performance because everytime GUI will pull unncessary data. 2) Bring the data (e.g. only 5 fields) that are permissible for access/view by the user on GUI. During submit, validation block will throw exception because all fields are marked as IsRequired and only data for 5 fields are sent back to the server. I want to know if there are any other good approaches to solve problems like this. I am using .NET 3.5 Thanks.

    Does anyone know of a good and economic svn + trac hosting site. Specific requirements 1) trac hooks should be in place, which enables commmit messages to be updated in trac issues. 2) It should have emailTotracScript or MailToTracPlugin installed, with which an issue can be reported via email. If its located in Asia pacific it would be great, as time delay from the US is very high. I am already using sourcerepo.com and its very good. Only short coming is they dont have emailtotrac and the time delay is significant. any other inputs would be helpful. TIA

I googled a little bit for the error message but I don't fully understand the meaning of it. I think it could mean that the old Activity is not properly destroyed after changing the screen orientation. Is this correct? If yes what causes the error? If this is not correct? What is the meaning of this output?

    I know how to publish a const of a simple type in IDL, for example: const long blah = 37 But I want to publish consts of complex types, with methods, or at least readable struct-like member fields. For example, perhaps a type called CarType, which has accessor fields like "get_Make", "get_Model", "get_Year", "get_BasePrice", et cetera. Then I would like to publish const instances, such as FORD_PINTO_1973. (Please don't read too much into the example, to tell me that this particular example would lend itself better to just regular classes without const instances or something like that). I have no idea how I would define, in IDL, the fact that FORD_PINTO_1973 has a Year field of 1973. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello, I have an HTML file which contains a webform with multiple questions which have a YES / NO responses. If the question has a YES answer, I would like a predefined ( per question ) section of text to be written to a DOC file on the server, but only AFTER the submit button has been pressed ( this way, if the user changes their mind and changes an answer form YES to NO, I won't have to re-write the doc ). When the user has clicked Submit, The file should be presented as a download. Any Ideas

    I have a question about the values returned by getPosition. Below is my code. It lets the user set 10 points on a given image: figure ,imshow(im); colorArray=['y','m','c','r','g','b','w','k','y','m','c']; pointArray = cell(1,10); % Construct boundary constraint function fcn = makeConstrainToRectFcn('impoint',get(gca,'XLim'),get(gca,'YLim')); for i = 1:10 p = impoint(gca); % Enforce boundary constraint function using setPositionConstraintFcn setPositionConstraintFcn(p,fcn); setColor(p,colorArray(1,i)); pointArray{i}=p; getPosition(p) end When I start to set points on the image I get results like [675.000 538.000], which means that the x part of the coordinate is 675 and the y part is 538, right? This is what the MATLAB documentation says, but since the image is 576*120 (as displayed in the window) this is not logical. It seemed to me like, somehow, getPosition returns the y coordinate first. I need some clarification on this. Thanks for help

Values vary. I want to store the data in db as INSERT INTO datatable c_id = "number after C" p_id = "number after P" // if it exists for a line of data value = 'value' yyy = 'value' Any ideas how to retrieve these numbers?   • Open ms word in "compare document" mode from command prompt.

    I am working on a web project where client needs a functionality to first upload some MS word document & then he can compare any two of the uploaded documents. The idea I came up with is to first make the documents available using WEBDAV & then open both documents using command line with "Compare side by side" option. In this way he will be able to compare & modify two documents. The problem is, I am not able to find any command which can be run from command prompt to open two documents in compare mode. Also, if you know any other way to achieve this functionality then please share it with me. Thanks!

  • GUI Design - Roleselection with two lists, selected roles on the right, or left list?

    Hi, image two lists for selecting roles for a new user creation in an administrator frontend. One list has all available roles in it and another has the selected roles in it. Between those lists are buttons to move elements from one list to another. Thus the layout is horizontal with [List] [Buttons] [List]. Now to the question: Should the selected elements be on the left, or the right list? Intuitively some people I asked say, that the selected elements have to be on the right list. But some other people follow some sort of guideline that says, that the more important stuff in a frontend has to be on the left side. Also they think the selected elements are more important than the non-selected and so the selected ones have to be on the left side. Whats your opinion?

  • Problem with interface implementation in partial classes.

    I have a question regarding a problem with L2S, Autogenerated DataContext and the use of Partial Classes. I have abstracted my datacontext and for every table I use, I'm implementing a class with an interface. In the code below you can see I have the Interface and two partial classes. The first class is just there to make sure the class in the auto-generated datacontext inherets Interface. The other autogenerated class makes sure the method from Interface is implemented. namespace PartialProject.objects { public interface Interface { Interface Instance { get; } } //To make sure the autogenerated code inherits Interface public partial class Class : Interface { } //This is autogenerated public partial class Class { public Class Instance { get { return this.Instance; } } } } Now my problem is that the method implemented in the autogenerated class gives the following error: - Property 'Instance' cannot implement property from interface 'PartialProject.objects.Interface'. Type should be 'PartialProjects.objects.Interface'. <- Any idea how this error can be resolved? Keep in mind that I can't edit anything in the autogenerated code. Thanks in advance!
