• Utilities to view web page as text only?

  Hi everyone, I'd like to view web pages as text only on occasion, without images or fancy css backgrounds appearing. Are there any Mozilla or IE plugins that allow this? I've used Readability, and it's not bad but it still downloads pictures. Just wondering what's out there. Thanks!

• Accessing MySQL server via VPN in python

  Hi I have a MySQL server that I need access through a VPN. I use MySQLdb package to access MySQL server in Python. When I can access the server without VPN, it works fine, but when I'm at certain locations, I need to connect through VPN. My computer is connected to the VPN and I can access the database through PHPMyAdmin, but MySQLdb gives me an error message: OperationalError: (2003, "Can't connect to MySQL server on 'MY_IP' (10061)") Any ideas on why it's not working? • Can't get decent refresh rate on crt connected to dvi

  Hi, I have a CRT connected to a dvi connector on a videocard using a vga cable and a dvi to vga adapter. Now I cannot set the refresh rate to anything decent (only 60Hz and lower). I've hat this happen using different CRT's, graphics cards (although all ATI, both agp and pcie), and operating systems (both linux and windows). Any idea on how to solve this, maybe some bios setting? Thanks

I terrible with bash scripting, and need some help with the following: #!/bin/bash if [ -e Pretty* ];then ncftpput -R -DD -v -u xbmc -p xbmc 192.168.1.100 /home/xbmc/TV/Pretty_Little_Liars/ Pretty* else echo "No new folders" fi find -depth -type d -empty -exec rmdir {} \; Problem here is the ncftpput line.. if I just do a simple [ echo "working" ] instead, everything is OK, but when I try the ncftpput-line it just gives me [ line 5: [: too many arguments ] the ncftpput command alone works fine.. Any ideas?

  Hi! I'd like to know if there's a possibility in Win7, to simply drag folder to the taskbar (which, afaik cannot be done in normal way) and display it's contents using jump list. Example: You drag desktop folder to the taskbar, and jumplist, is it's contents. I know about applications like JumpLaunch, but I do not want to manually modify anything in order to display folder contents.

• ASP.NET application within wordpress installation on IIS 7

  Hi all, a client has a wordpress installation on their IIS server located at www.mydomain.com. We would like to put our asp.net application in a subdirectory of the wordpress installation - at something like mydomain.com/asp. When I navigate to that directory I get a standard wordpress "Page not found" error. I am more familiar with htaccess, so how would I get wordpress to ignore a subdirectory in IIS? Thanks!

  Hi I found a couple of old spreadsheet documents that I created a couple of years ago that I would like to read again. I think I used the old Star Office 5.2 to create those Spreadsheets. I'm aware of Netdrive, Webdrive and Windows' built-in WebDAV client, but these don't work as well, because they need to emulate a true filesystem. Has anyone came across this?
