• Windows Server 2003 forgets folder shares from ISCSI-Volume after restart

  Hi, I have running a Server 2003 with the Microsoft ISCSI Initiator. I mapped an ISCSI-Volume and after the restart of the server, the the folders aren't shared anymore. The NTFS-rights are still rigth and the drive letter does not change. Any idea? Thanks, cyntaxx

  Hi all, I am having fifty workstations which are connected to a windows server 2003 server and the internet is shared from the server .My question is , am i able to implement a tracking mechanism without using any proxy server and track all the web pages which ever visited by an individual workstation connected to a network?If possible how to achieve that kind of tracking mechanism?Some workstations do open their web pages in InPrivate browsing , can we access those browsing history?

• My home box as my own host?

  Hi all, I have a 512 kb/s DSL service at home. I do not have a static IP but I can get one if I pay some extra to my ISP. Now, if I get the static IP, can I make my home box act as my internet host? What else do I need? Thanks P.S.   Hi, I was wondering the steps I can take to change the localhost name to a test development domain name like "website.dev" on Win7 x64 ? Currently, when my test website builds its assigned to 127.0.0.1:81 but I want this to instead have a name like "website.dev" that is accessible on my local network ? [and sure any Virtual PCs built on this local PC] I think this is done via the hosts file but I am little unsure how to do this ? Would someone be able to assist ? Thx

• I accidentally made my new hard drive (the non system drive) my primary partition

  Hi all, When installing a new hard drive, I accidentally formatted it using 'Disk Management' and set it up as my primary active partition, even though it isn't the system drive. Then, when I restarted my machine, Windows wouldn't boot, citing a missing or corrupt SYSTEM folder. Can anyone help me re-enable the system hard drive as my primary active partition? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Over the years various updates have been applied filling up the c:\ drive. the updates are about 200Mb each, and there seem to be a few jre.. folder in the Program File/Java folder. Can I delete some of the older ones? any ideas?

  hi, i'm having a strange problem with photoshop: i'm creating a new layer then use the path tool for drawing something. the new path will then only show up under "paths" but the current layer remains empty. shouldn't it show up there being labelled as "shape"? what i want is creating a path, apply layer styles to it and keep the possibilty to change that path with layer styles applied. seems like some setting was changed inside my cs4 thanks

  Hi, for some reason since we rolled out IE7 to the estate users are unable to download from the Internet, they get an error message "the operation could not be completed due to restrictions on the computer" I have checked the GPO and it allows downloads in the Default domain policy.   Hi all, Just recently, typing in forms on the internet has become rediculously slow. I'm on an oldish PC with low memory (1gb) and amd athlon XP 2800+ (2.08 ghz) and get an awesome 1.0 rating from windows :) Thing is though - it only just started happening. Was fine last week. Also, It doesn't only happen when heaps of other processes are open/running. I can have only one IE window up, after fresh reboot, and still happens. Any ideas why?

• How do I change the space I allocated to my virtual hard drive in VirtualBox?

  Hi, I have a Win7 x64 virtual machine running inside VirtualBox. When I first setup the system I gave the virtual hard drive 20gb of space to work with, but I also set it to dynamically expand (or so I thought).   Hi everyone, Im just wondering what everyone's experiences are with the latest Ubuntu 10.04 version? Is it stable enough for a working environment? I require it for web development, so using VMs, IDEs, connecting to VPNs, SSH to servers, etc. Im currently using 9.04 and found 9.10 unstable and problematic at times (such as problems connecting to VPN) Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
