• What's the difference between $get and $find in JavaScript?

  Hi, I'm a .NET programmer who've just started to learn more about client side scripting, and I was wondering sometimes you use $get('value') and $find('value') and I've discovered that these are just shortcuts for document.getElementById('value') and Sys.Application.findComponent('value'), respectively. However, I still don't understand: what is the difference between these two functions in JavaScript? What exactly are they looking up/retrieving when invoked? Thanks in advance.

  hi, i'm binding data into list which comes from the backend ,i want to increase the height of each content,i have used height ='some value',it's get increased ,i want to increase the size of the content with the value of 32 but it didn't get increased but i gave the itemrenderer (hbox)height as 100%..is it any inbuilt bug on flex or bug on me..thank's in advance...

  Hi all , i was building an application that use local connection and listens to another application that also uses local connection , the second application is sort of remote control for the first app. it invokes function of the listening app from outside. anyway , everything works good on local host. BUT once i have put the listening app on a server and try to work it , it does not connect anymore. any idea's? Thanks

  Hi there, I'm developing an application which has a Settings pane, following the AppPrefs sample by Apple. If my application is named AppPrefs, this is the exact name/prompt/ title the Settings application will provide. Is there anyway to make this change? Can my executable somehow be named (for example) Application1 and my Settings named "Settings for App1"? Thanks!

  Hi everyone im new to a PHP framework codeIgniter, I am going over the user guide iv ran in to a problem, I am on the part where you load helper file but for some reason my code just isnt working I keep getting this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function anchor() in /home/fresherd/public_html/CI/system/application/views/blogview.php on line 17 now im not 100% sure that it is loading the helper file this could be causing the but I am not sure how to detect the file has been loaded any advice will help many thanks, Alan
