  • How to keep multiple connectionString passwords safe, separate, and easy to deploy?

    - by Funka
I know there are plenty of questions here already about this topic (I've read through as many as I could find), but I haven't yet been able to figure out how best to satisfy my particular criteria. Here are the goals: The ASP.NET application will run on a few different web servers, including localhost workstations for development. This means encrypting web.config using a machine key is out. The application will decide which connection string to use based on the server name (using a switch statement). For example, "localhost" and "dev.example.com" will use the DevDatabaseConnectionString, "test.example.com" will use the TestDatabaseConnectionString, and "www.example.com" will use the ProdDatabaseConnectionString, for example. Ideally, the exact same executables and web.config should be able to run on any of these environments, without needing to tailor or configure each environment separately every time that we deploy (something that seems like it would be easy to forget/mess up one day during a deployment, which is why we moved away from having just one connectionstring that has to be changed on each target). Deployment is currently accomplished via FTP. We will not have command-line access to the production web server. This means using aspnet_regiis.exe is out. (I could run on localhost, however, if this would still work.) We would prefer to not have to recompile the application whenever a password changes, so using web.config (or db.config or whatever) seems to make the most sense. A developer should not be able to decrypt the production database password. If a developer checks the source code out onto their localhost laptop (which would determine that it should be using the DevDatabaseConnectionString, remember?) and the laptop gets lost or stolen, it should not be possible to get at the other connection strings. Thus, having a single RSA private key to un-encrypt all three passwords cannot be considered. (Contrary to #3 above, it does seem like we'd need to have three separate key files if we went this route; these could be installed once per machine, and should the wrong key file get deployed to the wrong server, the worst that should happen is that the app can't decrypt anything---and not allow the wrong host to access the wrong database!) I know this is probably a subjective question (asking for a "best" way to do something), but given the criteria I've mentioned, I'm hoping that a single best answer will indeed arise. Thank you!

  • How to copy DispatcherObject (BitmapSource) into different thread?

    - by Tomáš Kafka
Hi, I am trying to figure out how can I copy DispatcherObject (in my case BitmapSource) into another thread. Use case: I have a WPF app that needs to show window in a new thread (the app is actually Outlook addin and we need to do this because Outlook has some hooks in the main UI thread and is stealing certain hotkeys that we need to use - 'lost in translation' in interop of Outlook, WPF (which we use for UI), and Winforms (we need to use certain microsoft-provided winforms controls)). With that, I have my implementation of WPFMessageBox, that is configured by setting some static properties - and and one of them is BitmapSource for icon. This is used so that in startup I can set WPFMessageBox.Icon once, and since then, every WPFMessageBox will have the same icon. The problem is that BitmapSource, which is assigned into icon, is a DispatcherObject, and when read, it will throw InvalidOperationException: "The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it.". How can I clone that BitmapSource into the actual thread? It has Clone() and CloneCurrentValue() methods, which don't work (they throw the same exception as well). It also occured to me to use originalIcon.Dispatcher.Invoke( do the cloning here ) - but the BitmapSource's Dispatcher is null, and still - I'd create a copy on a wrong thread and still couldnt use it on mine. BitmapSource.IsFrozen == true. Any idea on how to copy the BitmapSource into different thread (without completely reconstructing it from an image file in a new thread)? EDIT: So, freezing does not help: In the end I have a BitmapFrame (Window.Icon doesn't take any other kind of ImageSource anyway), and when I assign it as a Window.Icon on a different thread, even if frozen, I get InvalidOperationException: "The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it." with a following stack trace: WindowsBase.dll!System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.VerifyAccess() + 0x4a bytes WindowsBase.dll!System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherObject.VerifyAccess() + 0xc bytes PresentationCore.dll!System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BitmapDecoder.Frames.get() + 0xe bytes PresentationFramework.dll!MS.Internal.AppModel.IconHelper.GetIconHandlesFromBitmapFrame(object callingObj = {WPFControls.WPFMBox.WpfMessageBoxWindow: header}, System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BitmapFrame bf = {System.Windows.Media.Imaging.BitmapFrameDecode}, ref MS.Win32.NativeMethods.IconHandle largeIconHandle = {MS.Win32.NativeMethods.IconHandle}, ref MS.Win32.NativeMethods.IconHandle smallIconHandle = {MS.Win32.NativeMethods.IconHandle}) + 0x3b bytes > PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.Window.UpdateIcon() + 0x118 bytes PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.Window.SetupInitialState(double requestedTop = NaN, double requestedLeft = NaN, double requestedWidth = 560.0, double requestedHeight = NaN) + 0x8a bytes PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.Window.CreateSourceWindowImpl() + 0x19b bytes PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.Window.SafeCreateWindow() + 0x29 bytes PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.Window.ShowHelper(object booleanBox) + 0x81 bytes PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.Window.Show() + 0x48 bytes PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.Window.ShowDialog() + 0x29f bytes WPFControls.dll!WPFControls.WPFMBox.WpfMessageBox.ShowDialog(System.Windows.Window owner = {WPFControlsTest.MainWindow}) Line 185 + 0x10 bytes C#

  • jQuery gallery turn over with next and previous buttons

    - by Ralf
    Hi, i'm trying to do some kind of Gallery-Turn Over Script with jQuery. Therefor i got an array with - let's say 13 - images: galleryImages = new Array( 'images/tb_01.jpg', 'images/tb_02.jpg', 'images/tb_03.jpg', 'images/tb_04.jpg', 'images/tb_05.jpg', 'images/tb_06.jpg', 'images/tb_07.jpg', 'images/tb_08.jpg', 'images/tb_09.jpg', 'images/tb_10.jpg', 'images/tb_11.jpg', 'images/tb_12.jpg', 'images/tb_13.jpg' ); My gallery looks like a grid showing only 9 images at once. My current script already counts the number of li-elements in #gallery, loads the first 9 images and displays them. The HTML looks like this: <ul id="gallery"> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> </ul> <ul id="gallery-controls"> <li id="gallery-prev"><a href="#">Previous</a></li> <li id="gallery-next"><a href="#">Next</a></li> </ul> I'm pretty new to jQuery an my problem is that i can't figure out how to split the array in portions with 9 elements to attach it as a link on the control buttons. I need something like this: $('#gallery-next').click(function(){ $('ul#gallery li').children().remove(); $('ul#gallery li').each(function(index,el){ var img = new Image(); $(img).load(function () { $(this).css('display','none'); $(el).append(this); $(this).fadeIn(); }).attr('src', galleryImages[index]); //index for the next 9 images?!?! }); }); Thanks for help!

  • Autocomplete server-side implementation

    - by toluju
What is a fast and efficient way to implement the server-side component for an autocomplete feature in an html input box? I am writing a service to autocomplete user queries in our web interface's main search box, and the completions are displayed in an ajax-powered dropdown. The data we are running queries against is simply a large table of concepts our system knows about, which matches roughly with the set of wikipedia page titles. For this service obviously speed is of utmost importance, as responsiveness of the web page is important to the user experience. The current implementation simply loads all concepts into memory in a sorted set, and performs a simple log(n) lookup on a user keystroke. The tailset is then used to provide additional matches beyond the closest match. The problem with this solution is that it does not scale. It currently is running up against the VM heap space limit (I've set -Xmx2g, which is about the most we can push on our 32 bit machines), and this prevents us from expanding our concept table or adding more functionality. Switching to 64-bit VMs on machines with more memory isn't an immediate option. I've been hesitant to start working on a disk-based solution as I am concerned that disk seek time will kill performance. Are there possible solutions that will let me scale better, either entirely in memory or with some fast disk-backed implementations? Edits: @Gandalf: For our use case it is important the the autocompletion is comprehensive and isn't just extra help for the user. As for what we are completing, it is a list of concept-type pairs. For example, possible entries are [("Microsoft", "Software Company"), ("Jeff Atwood", "Programmer"), ("StackOverflow.com", "Website")]. We are using Lucene for the full search once a user selects an item from the autocomplete list, but I am not yet sure Lucene would work well for the autocomplete itself. @Glen: No databases are being used here. When I'm talking about a table I just mean the structured representation of my data. @Jason Day: My original implementation to this problem was to use a Trie, but the memory bloat with that was actually worse than the sorted set due to needing a large number of object references. I'll read on the ternary search trees to see if it could be of use.

  • Stop images from wrapping when div width is to small.

    - by razass
    I have a div that contains a ul and in each li there is a picture. I have floated the pictures left to get them to line up in a straight line however once it reaches the end of the div, it wraps. I would like the pictures to continue on to the right, hidden, so that I am able to create a carousel. My code is below. The HTML <div id="container"> <div class="lfbtn"></div> <ul id="image_container"> <li class="the_image"> <img src="" /> </li> </ul> <div class="rtbtn"></div> </div> The CSS #container { width: 900px; height: 150px; margin: 10px auto; } #image_container { position: relative; left: 50px; list-style-type: none; width: 700px; height: 110px; overflow: hidden; } #image_container li { display: inline-block; padding: 7px 5px 7px 5px; float: left; } .lfbtn { background-image: url(../../img/left.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; margin: 10px; position: relative; float: left; top: -12px; left: 50px; height: 90px; width: 25px; } .rtbtn { background-image: url(../../img/right.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; height: 90px; width: 25px; margin: 10px; position: relative; top: -101px; left: 795px; } Thanks in advance!

  • Speeding up templates in GAE-Py by aggregating RPC calls

    - by Sudhir Jonathan
Here's my problem: class City(Model): name = StringProperty() class Author(Model): name = StringProperty() city = ReferenceProperty(City) class Post(Model): author = ReferenceProperty(Author) content = StringProperty() The code isn't important... its this django template: {% for post in posts %} <div>{{post.content}}</div> <div>by {{post.author.name}} from {{post.author.city.name}}</div> {% endfor %} Now lets say I get the first 100 posts using Post.all().fetch(limit=100), and pass this list to the template - what happens? It makes 200 more datastore gets - 100 to get each author, 100 to get each author's city. This is perfectly understandable, actually, since the post only has a reference to the author, and the author only has a reference to the city. The __get__ accessor on the post.author and author.city objects transparently do a get and pull the data back (See this question). Some ways around this are Use Post.author.get_value_for_datastore(post) to collect the author keys (see the link above), and then do a batch get to get them all - the trouble here is that we need to re-construct a template data object... something which needs extra code and maintenance for each model and handler. Write an accessor, say cached_author, that checks memcache for the author first and returns that - the problem here is that post.cached_author is going to be called 100 times, which could probably mean 100 memcache calls. Hold a static key to object map (and refresh it maybe once in five minutes) if the data doesn't have to be very up to date. The cached_author accessor can then just refer to this map. All these ideas need extra code and maintenance, and they're not very transparent. What if we could do @prefetch def render_template(path, data) template.render(path, data) Turns out we can... hooks and Guido's instrumentation module both prove it. If the @prefetch method wraps a template render by capturing which keys are requested we can (atleast to one level of depth) capture which keys are being requested, return mock objects, and do a batch get on them. This could be repeated for all depth levels, till no new keys are being requested. The final render could intercept the gets and return the objects from a map. This would change a total of 200 gets into 3, transparently and without any extra code. Not to mention greatly cut down the need for memcache and help in situations where memcache can't be used. Trouble is I don't know how to do it (yet). Before I start trying, has anyone else done this? Or does anyone want to help? Or do you see a massive flaw in the plan?

  • Silverlight? WPF? or Windows Form?

    - by Amit
After Silverlight 4.0 has been released with new WPF, I am kind of confused with these technologies: Silverlight? WPF? Windows Form? The main motive that we want to achieve for BIG business project is following: Performance Security And platform independent** If I consider all above three points then only Silverlight is the option as I don’t want people buying emulator on MacOS for WPF or Windows Form. Now how good the Silverlight is for Business applications, I was completely against when Silverlight 2.0 was in the market but now it is Silverlight 4.0 and they have provided many new features (but still basics) that is required in any challenging business applications. Comparing Silverlight and WPF -* Silverlight and WPF are very new technology and if I'd to compare from these two then I'd prefer WPF because it can be considered stable and mature. But it is not same as Windows Form. -* If I go with Silverlight then I am sure about keep updating to the latest version of Silverlight. I remembered when we were developing software for version 2.0 then we'd to create our own framework with dynamic loading DLL, and then Navigation concept. But everything was got changed once Silverlight 3.0 came. I don't want this to be happening with this new product. -* If we go with WPF then we don't get the platform independence. Now, why not we just focus on making WPF and then move to Silverlght. As someone (Tim?) from Microsoft has said that the idea is to make Silverlight as close as WPF. But if that is the case then why XAML structure is different; I will not be convinced with by saying that .Net framework for SL is too small.. well the difference is coming from the namespace ? I was searching on this subject and found "Microsoft WPF-Silverlight Comparison Whitepaper v1.1.pdf". This guide is very good that gives you ins-outs about how can we build common apps that runs on both. But again, it is comparing Silverlight 2 and not 4. I am sure many architect/ developers/ project managers must be facing similar kind of questions in their premises and wants to initiate this discussion, if it has not been :). We've still got 2 weeks to make this decision, so I'm expecting everyone to participate, gurus?

  • HTML wrapper div over embedded flash object cannot be "clickable" by jQuery

    - by Michael Mao
Hi all: I've been trying to do as the client requested : redirect to campaign page then to destination page once a customer clicks on the top banner in swf format. You can check what's been done at :http://ausdcf.org If you are using Firefox, Chrome or Safari, I suspect you can reach the destination page. However, if you are using IE or Opera, I doubt it. I think to cause of such a weird problem is: The swf ojbects don't have a link to url, SO I have to hack the theme template file like this : <div id="header">'; /* * A quick and dirty way to put some swf into PHP, and rotate among them ... */ //available banners $banners = array( 'http://localhost/smf/flash/banner_fertalign_1.swf', 'http://localhost/smf/flash/banner_fertalign_2.swf', 'http://localhost/smf/flash/banner_fertalign_3.swf' ); //get random banner srand((double) microtime() * 1000000); $rand = rand(0,count($banners)-1); echo '<div id="top_banner_clickable">'; echo '<div id="top_banner_wrapper">'; echo '<object width="400" height="60">'; echo '<param name="wmode" value="transparent">'; echo '<embed wmode="transparent" src="'.$banners[$rand].'" '; echo 'width="400" height="60" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"'; echo 'pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" />'; echo '</object>'; echo '</div>'; echo '</div>'; And the related jQuery code is like this: /* master.js */ $(document).ready(function() { $("#top_banner_clickable").click(function() { window.location ="http://ausdcf.org/campaign/"; }); }); I absolutely know nothing about Flash or embedded objects. I guess that's the cause of this problem. Plus, I don't know why it works with some browsers but not all... I even tried to add a z-index to the wrapper div in css like this: #top_banner_clickable { z-index : 100; } No this wouldn't do, either... Is there a way to go around this issue? Many thanks in advance.

  • Realtime Twitter Replies?

    - by ejunker
I have created Twitter bots for many geographic locations. I want to allow users to @-reply to the Twitter bot with commands and then have the bot respond with the results. I would like to have the bot reply to the user as quickly as possible (realtime). Apparently, Twitter used to have an XMPP/Jabber interface that would provide this type of realtime feed of replies but it was shut down. As I see it my options are to use one of the following: REST API This would involve polling every X minutes for each bot. The problem with this is that it is not realtime and each Twitter account would have to be polled. Search API The search API does allow specifying a "-to" parameter in the search and replies to all bots could be aggregated in a search such as "-to bot1 OR -to bot2...". Though if you have hundreds of bots then the search string would get very long and probably exceed the maximum length of a GET request. Streaming API The streaming API looks very promising as it provides realtime results. The API allows you to specify a follow and track parameters. follow is not useful as the bot does not know who will be sending it commands. track allows you to specify keywords to track. This could possibly work by creating a daemon process that connects to the Streaming API and tracks all references to the bot's names. Once again since there are lots of bots to track the length and complexity of the query may be an issue. Another idea would be to track a special hashtag such as #botcommand and then a user could send a command using this syntax @bot1 weather #botcommand. Then by using the Streaming API to track all references to #botcommand would give you a realtime stream of all the commands. Further parsing could then be done to determine which bot to send the command to. Third-party service Are there any third-party companies that have access to the Twitter firehouse and offer realtime data? I haven't investigated these, but here are a few that I have found: Gnip Tweet.IM excla.im TwitterSpy - seems to use polling, not realtime I'm leaning towards using the Streaming API. Is there a better way to get near realtime @-replies for many (hundreds) of Twitter accounts?

  • java.util.zip - ZipInputStream v.s. ZipFile

    - by lucho
Hello, community! I have some general questions regarding the java.util.zip library. What we basically do is an import and an export of many small components. Previously these components were imported and exported using a single big file, e.g.: <component-type-a id="1"/> <component-type-a id="2"/> <component-type-a id="N"/> <component-type-b id="1"/> <component-type-b id="2"/> <component-type-b id="N"/> Please note that the order of the components during import is relevant. Now every component should occupy its own file which should be externally versioned, QA-ed, bla, bla. We decided that the output of our export should be a zip file (with all these files in) and the input of our import should be a similar zip file. We do not want to explode the zip in our system. We do not want opening separate streams for each of the small files. My current questions: Q1. May the ZipInputStream guarantee that the zip entries (the little files) will be read in the same order in which they were inserted by our export that uses ZipOutputStream? I assume reading is something like: ZipInputStream zis = new ZipInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(fis)); ZipEntry entry; while((entry = zis.getNextEntry()) != null) { //read from zis until available } I know that the central zip directory is put at the end of the zip file but nevertheless the file entries inside have sequential order. I also know that relying on the order is an ugly idea but I just want to have all the facts in mind. Q2. If I use ZipFile (which I prefer) what is the performance impact of calling getInputStream() hundreds of times? Will it be much slower than the ZipInputStream solution? The zip is opened only once and ZipFile is backed by RandomAccessFile - is this correct? I assume reading is something like: ZipFile zipfile = new ZipFile(argv[0]); Enumeration e = zipfile.entries();//TODO: assure the order of the entries while(e.hasMoreElements()) { entry = (ZipEntry) e.nextElement(); is = zipfile.getInputStream(entry)); } Q3. Are the input streams retrieved from the same ZipFile thread safe (e.g. may I read different entries in different threads simultaneously)? Any performance penalties? Thanks for your answers!

  • How to access and work with XML from API in C#

    - by Jarek
My goal is to pull XML data from the API and load it to a sql server database. The frist step I'm attempting here is to access the data and display it. Once I get this to work I'll loop through each row and insert the values into a sql server database. When I try to run the code below nothing happens and when I paste the url directly into the browser I get this error "2010-03-08 04:24:17 Wallet exhausted: retry after 2010-03-08 05:23:58. 2010-03-08 05:23:58" To me it seems that every iteration of the foreach loop makes a call to the site and I get blocked for an hour. Am I retrieving data from the API in an incorrect manner? Is there some way to load the data into memory or an array then loop through that? Here's the bit of code I hacked together. using System; using System.Data.SqlClient; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Web; using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControls; using System.Xml; using System.Data; public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { try { string userID = "123"; string apiKey = "abc456"; string characterID = "789"; string url = "http://api.eve-online.com/char/WalletTransactions.xml.aspx?userID=" + userID + "&apiKey=" + apiKey + "&characterID=" + characterID; XmlDocument xmldoc = new XmlDocument(); xmldoc.Load(url); XmlNamespaceManager xnm1 = new XmlNamespaceManager(xmldoc.NameTable); XmlNodeList nList1 = xmldoc.SelectNodes("result/rowset/row", xnm1); foreach (XmlNode xNode in nList1) { Response.Write(xNode.InnerXml + "<br />"); } } catch (SqlException em) { Response.Write(em.Message); } } } Here's a sample of the xml <eveapi version="2"> <currentTime>2010-03-06 17:38:35</currentTime> <result> <rowset name="transactions" key="transactionID" columns="transactionDateTime, transactionID,quantity, typeName, typeID,price, clientID,clientName, stationID,stationName, transactionType, transactionFor"> <row transactionDateTime="2010-03-06 17:16:00" transactionID="1343566007" quantity="1" typeName="Co-Processor II" typeID="3888" price="1122999.00" clientID="1404318579" clientName="unseenstrike" stationID="60011572" stationName="Osmeden IX - Moon 6 - University of Caille School" transactionType="sell" transactionFor="personal" /> <row transactionDateTime="2010-03-06 17:15:00" transactionID="1343565894" quantity="1" typeName="Co-Processor II" typeID="3888" price="1150000.00" clientID="1404318579" clientName="unseenstrike" stationID="60011572" stationName="Osmeden IX - Moon 6 - University of Caille School" transactionType="sell" transactionFor="personal" /> </rowset> </result> <cachedUntil>2010-03-06 17:53:35</cachedUntil> </eveapi>

  • JNI - GetObjectField returns NULL

    - by Daniel
I'm currently working on Mangler's Android implementation. I have a java class that looks like so: public class VentriloEventData { public short type; public class _pcm { public int length; public short send_type; public int rate; public byte channels; }; _pcm pcm; } The signature for my pcm object: $ javap -s -p VentriloEventData ... org.mangler.VentriloEventData$_pcm pcm; Signature: Lorg/mangler/VentriloEventData$_pcm; I am implementing a native JNI function called getevent, which will write to the fields in an instance of the VentriloEventData class. For what it's worth, it's defined and called in Java like so: public static native int getevent(VentriloEventData data); VentriloEventData data = new VentriloEventData(); getevent(data); And my JNI implementation of getevent: JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_org_mangler_VentriloInterface_getevent(JNIEnv* env, jobject obj, jobject eventdata) { v3_event *ev = v3_get_event(V3_BLOCK); if(ev != NULL) { jclass event_class = (*env)->GetObjectClass(env, eventdata); // Event type. jfieldID type_field = (*env)->GetFieldID(env, event_class, "type", "S"); (*env)->SetShortField( env, eventdata, type_field, 1234 ); // Get PCM class. jfieldID pcm_field = (*env)->GetFieldID(env, event_class, "pcm", "Lorg/mangler/VentriloEventData$_pcm;"); jobject pcm = (*env)->GetObjectField( env, eventdata, pcm_field ); jclass pcm_class = (*env)->GetObjectClass(env, pcm); // Set PCM fields. jfieldID pcm_length_field = (*env)->GetFieldID(env, pcm_class, "length", "I"); (*env)->SetIntField( env, pcm, pcm_length_field, 1337 ); free(ev); } return 0; } The code above works fine for writing into the type field (that is not wrapped by the _pcm class). Once getevent is called, data.type is verified to be 1234 at the java side :) My problem is that the assertion "pcm != NULL" will fail. Note that pcm_field != NULL, which probably indicates that the signature to that field is correct... so there must be something wrong with my call to GetObjectField. It looks fine though if I compare it to the official JNI docs. Been bashing my head on this problem for the past 2 hours and I'm getting a little desperate.. hoping a different perspective will help me out on this one.

  • With NHibernate, how can I create an INHibernateProxy?

    - by Eric
After lots of reading about serialization, I've decided to try to create DTOs. After more reading, I decided to use AutoMapper. What I would like to do is transform the parent (easy enough) and transform the entity properties if they've been initialized, which I've done with ValueResolvers like below (I may try to make it generic once I get it fully working). This part works. public class OrderItemResolver : ValueResolver<Order, OrderItem> { protected override OrderItem ResolveCore(Order source) { // could also use NHibernateUtil.IsInitialized(source.OrderItem) if (source.OrderItem is NHibernate.Proxy.INHibernateProxy) return null; else return source.OrderItem; } } } When I transform the DTO back to an entity, for the entities that weren't initialized, I want to create a proxy so that if the entity wants to access it, it can. However, I can't figure out how to create a proxy. I'm using Castle if that's relevant. I've tried a bunch of things with no luck. The below code is a mess, mainly because I've been trying things at random without knowing what I should be doing. Anybody have any suggestions? public class OrderItemDTOResolver : ValueResolver<OrderDTO, OrderItem> { protected override OrderItem ResolveCore(OrderDTO source) { if (source.OrderItem == null) { //OrderItem OrderItem = new ProxyGenerator().CreateClassProxy<OrderItem>(); // Castle.Core.Interceptor. //OrderItem OrderItem = new ProxyGenerator().CreateClassProxy<OrderItem>(); //OrderItem.Id = source.OrderItemId; //OrderItem OrderItem = new OrderItem(); //var proxy = new OrderItem() as INHibernateProxy; //var proxy = OrderItem as INHibernateProxy; //return (OrderItem)proxy.HibernateLazyInitializer //ILazyInitializer proxy = new LazyInitializer("OrderItem", OrderItem, source.OrderItemId, null, null, null, null); //return (OrderItem)proxy; //return (OrderItem)proxy.HibernateLazyInitializer.GetImplementation(); //return OrderItem; IProxyTargetAccessor proxy = new Castle.Core.Interceptor. var initializer = new LazyInitializer("OrderItem", typeof(OrderItem), source.OrderItemId, null, null, null, null); //var proxyFactory = new SerializableProxyFactory{Interfaces = Interfaces, TargetSource = initializer, ProxyTargetType = IsClassProxy}; //proxyFactory.AddAdvice(initializer); //object proxyInstance = proxyFactory.GetProxy(); //return (INHibernateProxy) proxyInstance; return null; //OrderItem.Id = source.OrderItemId; //return OrderItem; } else return OrderItemDTO.Unmap(source.OrderItem); } } Thanks, Eric

I have a Windows NT Service in C# which basically wakes up every x seconds, checks to see if any mail notifications need to be sent out, and then goes back to sleep. It looks something like this (the Timer class is from the System.Threading namespace): public partial class MyService : ServiceBase { private Timer _timer; private int _timeIntervalBetweenRuns = 10000; public MyService() { InitializeComponent(); } protected override void OnStart(string[] args) { // when NT Service starts - create timer to wake up every 10 seconds _timer = new Timer(OnTimer, null, _timeIntervalBetweenRuns, Timeout.Infinite); } protected override void OnStop() { // on stop - stop timer by freeing it _timer = null; } private void OnTimer(object state) { // when the timer fires, e.g. when 10 seconds are over // stop the timer from firing again by freeing it _timer = null; // check for mail and sent out notifications, if required - works just fine MailHandler handler = new MailHandler(); handler.CheckAndSendMail(); // once done, re-enable the timer by creating it from scratch _timer = new Timer(OnTimer, null, _timeIntervalBetweenRuns, _timeIntervalBetweenRuns); } } Sending the mail and all works just fine, and the service also wakes up every 10 seconds (in reality, this is a setting from a config file - simplified for this example). However, at times, the service seems to wake up too quickly.... 2010-04-09 22:50:16.390 2010-04-09 22:50:26.460 2010-04-09 22:50:36.483 2010-04-09 22:50:46.500 2010-04-09 22:50:46.537 ** why again after just 37 milliseconds...... ?? 2010-04-09 22:50:56.507 Works fine to 22:50:45.500 - why does it log another entry just 37 milliseconds later?? Here, it seems it's totally out of whack.... seems to wake up twice or even three times every time 10 seconds are over.... 2010-04-09 22:51:16.527 2010-04-09 22:51:26.537 2010-04-09 22:51:26.537 2010-04-09 22:51:36.543 2010-04-09 22:51:36.543 2010-04-09 22:51:46.553 2010-04-09 22:51:46.553 2010-04-09 22:51:56.577 2010-04-09 22:51:56.577 2010-04-09 22:52:06.590 2010-04-09 22:52:06.590 2010-04-09 22:52:06.600 2010-04-09 22:52:06.600 Any ideas why?? It's not a huge problem, but I'm concerned it might start to put too much load on the server, if the interval I configure (10 seconds, 30 seconds - whatever) seems to be ignored more and more, the longer the service runs. Have I missed something very fundamental in my service code?? Am I ending up with multiple timers, or something?? I can't seem to really figure it out..... have I picked the wrong timer (System.Threading.Timer) ? There's at least 3 Timer classes in .NET - why?? :-)

  • Looking for Fiddler2 help. connection to gateway refused? Just got rid of a virus

    - by John Mackey
I use Fiddler2 for facebook game items, and it's been a great success. I accessed a website to download some dat files I needed. I think it was eshare, ziddu or megaupload, one of those. Anyway, even before the rar file had downloaded, I got this weird green shield in the bottom right hand corner of my computer. It said a Trojan was trying to access my computer, or something to that extent. It prompted me to click the shield to begin anti-virus scanning. It turns out this rogue program is called Antivirus System Pro and is pretty hard to get rid of. After discovering the rogue program, I tried using Fiddler and got the following error: [Fiddler] Connection to Gateway failed.Exception Text: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:5555 I ended up purchasing SpyDoctor + Antivirus, which I'm told is designed specifically for getting rid of these types of programs. Anyway, I did a quick-scan last night with spydoctor and malware bytes. Malware picked up 2 files, and Spydoctor found 4. Most were insignificant, but it did find a worm called Worm.Alcra.F, which was labeled high-priority. I don’t know if that’s the Anti-Virus Pro or not, but SpyDoctor said it got rid of all of those successfully. I tried to run Fiddler again before leaving home, but was still getting the "gateway failed" error. Im using the newest version of firefox. When I initially set up the Fiddler 2.2.8.6, I couldn’t get it to run at first, so I found this faq on the internet that said I needed to go through ToolsOptionsSettings and set up an HTTP Proxy to 127.0.0.1 and my Port to 8888. Once I set that up and downloaded this fiddler helper as a firefox add-on, it worked fine. When I turn on fiddler, it automatically takes my proxy setting from no proxy (default) to the 127.0.0.1 with Port 8888 set up. It worked fine until my computer detected this virus. Anyway, hopefully I've given you sufficient information to offer me your best advice here. Like I said, Spydoctor says the bad stuff is gone, so maybe the rogue program made some type of change in my fiddler that I could just reset or uncheck or something like that? Or will I need to completely remove fiddler and those dat files and rar files I downloaded? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

  • How do I define a template class and divide it into multiple files?

    - by hkBattousai
    I have written a simple template class for test purpose. It compiles without any errors, but when I try to use it in main(), it give some linker errors. main.cpp #include <iostream> #include "MyNumber.h" int wmain(int argc, wchar_t * argv[]) { MyNumber<float> num; num.SetValue(3.14); std::cout << "My number is " << num.GetValue() << "." << std::endl; system("pause"); return 0; } MyNumber.h #pragma once template <class T> class MyNumber { public: MyNumber(); ~MyNumber(); void SetValue(T val); T GetValue(); private: T m_Number; }; MyNumber.cpp #include "MyNumber.h" template <class T> MyNumber<T>::MyNumber() { m_Number = static_cast<T>(0); } template <class T> MyNumber<T>::~MyNumber() { } template <class T> void MyNumber<T>::SetValue(T val) { m_Number = val; } template <class T> T MyNumber<T>::GetValue() { return m_Number; } When I build this code, I get the following linker errors: Error 7 Console Demo C:\Development\IDE\Visual Studio 2010\SAVE\Grand Solution\X64\Debug\Console Demo.exe 1 error LNK1120: 4 unresolved externals Error 3 Console Demo C:\Development\IDE\Visual Studio 2010\SAVE\Grand Solution\Console Demo\main.obj error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: __cdecl MyNumber::~MyNumber(void)" (??1?$MyNumber@M@@QEAA@XZ) referenced in function wmain Error 6 Console Demo C:\Development\IDE\Visual Studio 2010\SAVE\Grand Solution\Console Demo\main.obj error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: __cdecl MyNumber::MyNumber(void)" (??0?$MyNumber@M@@QEAA@XZ) referenced in function wmain Error 4 Console Demo C:\Development\IDE\Visual Studio 2010\SAVE\Grand Solution\Console Demo\main.obj error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: float __cdecl MyNumber::GetValue(void)" (?GetValue@?$MyNumber@M@@QEAAMXZ) referenced in function wmain Error 5 Console Demo C:\Development\IDE\Visual Studio 2010\SAVE\Grand Solution\Console Demo\main.obj error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: void __cdecl MyNumber::SetValue(float)" (?SetValue@?$MyNumber@M@@QEAAXM@Z) referenced in function wmain But, if I leave main() empty, I don't get any linker errors. What is wrong with my template class? What am I doing wrong?

  • Calculating rotation and translation matrices between two odometry positions for monocular linear triangulation

    - by user1298891
Recently I've been trying to implement a system to identify and triangulate the 3D position of an object in a robotic system. The general outline of the process goes as follows: Identify the object using SURF matching, from a set of "training" images to the actual live feed from the camera Move/rotate the robot a certain amount Identify the object using SURF again in this new view Now I have: a set of corresponding 2D points (same object from the two different views), two odometry locations (position + orientation), and camera intrinsics (focal length, principal point, etc.) since it's been calibrated beforehand, so I should be able to create the 2 projection matrices and triangulate using a basic linear triangulation method as in Hartley & Zissermann's book Multiple View Geometry, pg. 312. Solve the AX = 0 equation for each of the corresponding 2D points, then take the average In practice, the triangulation only works when there's almost no change in rotation; if the robot even rotates a slight bit while moving (due to e.g. wheel slippage) then the estimate is way off. This also applies for simulation. Since I can only post two hyperlinks, here's a link to a page with images from the simulation (on the map, the red square is simulated robot position and orientation, and the yellow square is estimated position of the object using linear triangulation.) So you can see that the estimate is thrown way off even by a little rotation, as in Position 2 on that page (that was 15 degrees; if I rotate it any more then the estimate is completely off the map), even in a simulated environment where a perfect calibration matrix is known. In a real environment when I actually move around with the robot, it's worse. There aren't any problems with obtaining point correspondences, nor with actually solving the AX = 0 equation once I compute the A matrix, so I figure it probably has to do with how I'm setting up the two camera projection matrices, specifically how I'm calculating the translation and rotation matrices from the position/orientation info I have relative to the world frame. How I'm doing that right now is: Rotation matrix is composed by creating a 1x3 matrix [0, (change in orientation angle), 0] and then converting that to a 3x3 one using OpenCV's Rodrigues function Translation matrix is composed by rotating the two points (start angle) degrees and then subtracting the final position from the initial position, in order to get the robot's straight and lateral movement relative to its starting orientation Which results in the first projection matrix being K [I | 0] and the second being K [R | T], with R and T calculated as described above. Is there anything I'm doing really wrong here? Or could it possibly be some other problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How and why do I set up a C# build machine?

    - by mmr
Hi all, I'm working with a small (4 person) development team on a C# project. I've proposed setting up a build machine which will do nightly builds and tests of the project, because I understand that this is a Good Thing. Trouble is, we don't have a whole lot of budget here, so I have to justify the expense to the powers that be. So I want to know: What kind of tools/licenses will I need? Right now, we use Visual Studio and Smart Assembly to build, and Perforce for source control. Will I need something else, or is there an equivalent of a cron job for running automated scripts? What, exactly, will this get me, other than an indication of a broken build? Should I set up test projects in this solution (sln file) that will be run by these scripts, so I can have particular functions tested? We have, at the moment, two such tests, because we haven't had the time (or frankly, the experience) to make good unit tests. What kind of hardware will I need for this? Once a build has been finished and tested, is it a common practice to put that build up on an ftp site or have some other way for internal access? The idea is that this machine makes the build, and we all go to it, but can make debug builds if we have to. How often should we make this kind of build? How is space managed? If we make nightly builds, should we keep around all the old builds, or start to ditch them after about a week or so? Is there anything else I'm not seeing here? I realize that this is a very large topic, and I'm just starting out. I couldn't find a duplicate of this question here, and if there's a book out there I should just get, please let me know. EDIT: I finally got it to work! Hudson is completely fantastic, and FxCop is showing that some features we thought were implemented were actually incomplete. We also had to change the installer type from Old-And-Busted vdproj to New Hotness WiX. Basically, for those who are paying attention, if you can run your build from the command line, then you can put it into hudson. Making the build run from the command line via MSBuild is a useful exercise in itself, because it forces your tools to be current.

  • Are there any drawbacks to class-based Javascript injection?

    - by jonathanconway
A phenomena I'm seeing more and more of is Javascript code that is tied to a particular element on a particular page, rather than being tied to kinds of elements or UI patterns. For example, say we had a couple of animated menus on a page: <ul id="top-navigation"> ... </ul> <!-- ... --> <ul id="product-list"> ... </ul> These two menus might exist on the same page or on different pages, and some pages mightn't have any menus. I'll often see Javascript code like this (for these examples, I'm using jQuery): $(document).ready(function() { $('ul#top-navigation').dropdownMenu(); $('ul#product-selector').dropdownMenu(); }); Notice the problem? The Javascript is tightly coupled to particular instances of a UI pattern rather than the UI pattern itself. Now wouldn't it be so much simpler (and cleaner) to do this instead? - $(document).ready(function() { $('ul.dropdown-menu').dropdownMenu(); }); Then we can put the 'dropdown-menu' class on our lists like so: <ul id="top-navigation" class="dropdown-menu"> ... </ul> <!-- ... --> <ul id="product-list" class="dropdown-menu"> ... </ul> This way of doing things would have the following benefits: Simpler Javascript - we only need to attach once to the class. We avoid looking for specific instances that mightn't exist on a given page. If we remove an element, we don't need to hunt through the Javascript to find the attach code for that element. I believe techniques similar to this were pioneered by certain articles on alistapart.com. I'm amazed these simple techniques still haven't gained widespread adoption, and I still see 'best-practice' code-samples and Javascript frameworks referring directly to UI instances rather than UI patterns. Is there any reason for this? Is there some big disadvantage to the technique I just described that I'm unaware of?

  • What is the best way, if possible, to send information from a Java PrintStream to a JTextPane?

    - by Daniel Reeves
In Java, I have a package that translates XML metadata from one standard to another. This package is ultimately accessed through a single function and sends all of its output through a PrintStream object. The output sent is just a status of each file and whether or not it was translated. This is pretty fine and dandy if I'm just printing to System.out, but I'm actually wanting to print this to a JTextPane while it translates (kind of like a progress text box). It wouldn't be a big deal to just print the status after it was done translating the XML, but since there may be thousands of XML files, that's just not feasible. One thing that I've tried is to use a thread that takes all of the information from the PrintStream (which is attached to a ByteArrayOutputStream) and let it send any new information to the text pane. Unfortunately, this still sends the information all at once at the end of the translation. This does work correctly for System.out. Here's the code that does the translation and tries to show the output: public class ConverterGUI extends javax.swing.JFrame { boolean printToResultsBox = false; PrintStream printStream = null; ByteArrayOutputStream baos = null; private class ResultsPrinter implements Runnable { public ResultsPrinter() { baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); printStream = new PrintStream(baos); } public void run() { String tempString = ""; while (printToResultsBox) { try { if (!baos.toString().equals(tempString)) { tempString = baos.toString(); resultsBox.setText(tempString); } } catch (Exception ex) { } } } } ... ResultsPrinter rp = new ResultsPrinter(); Thread thread = new Thread(rp); thread.start(); // Do the translation. try { printToResultsBox = true; boolean success = false; TranslationEngine te = new TranslationEngine(); // fileOrFolderToConvert is a text box in the GUI. // linkNeeded and destinationFile are just parameters for the translation process. success = te.translate(fileOrFolderToConvert.getText(), linkNeeded, destinationFile, printStream); if (success) { printStream.println("File/folder translation was a success."); } resultsBox.setText(baos.toString()); } catch (Exception ex) { printStream.println("File translation failed."); } finally { printToResultsBox = false; } ... } Ultimately, this code prints out to the JTextPane just fine after all the translation is done but not during. Any suggestions? Do I need to change the PrintStream to something else?

  • Problem while adding new Object to CoreData App

    - by elementsense
Hi Another Day, another CoreData problem,...but hopefully the last one now. Ok here is a copy of what I have : I have a List of Hotel Guests that stay in one Room and have Preferences. Once ready the user should select a guest and see the data and should also be able to add new guest, select the room (maintained also by application) and select their preferences (where the user can also add new preferences). The guest can have no or many preferences. So here is what I have so far. I created 3 Entities : - Rooms with roomnumber - Preferences with name - GuestInfo with name - with these Relationships room (Destination Rooms) and prefs (Destination Preferences with "To-Many Relationship") The prefs is a NSSet when you create a Managed Object Class. Now I created a UITableViewController to display all the data. I also have an edit and add mode. When I add a new Guest and just fill out the name, everything works fine. But when I want to add the prefs or the room number I get this error : Illegal attempt to establish a relationship 'room' between objects in different contexts Now, what confuses me is that when I add a guest and enter just the name, save it, go back and edit it and select the prefs and room number it works ? I have this line in both ViewControllers to select the room or prefs : [editedObject setValue:selectedRoom forKey:editedFieldKey]; with this .h : NSManagedObject *editedObject; NSString *editedFieldKey; NSString *editedFieldName; Again, it works on the editing mode but not when I want to add a fresh object. And to be sure, this is what I do for adding an new Guest : - (IBAction)addNewItem { AddViewController *addViewController = [[AddViewController alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; addViewController.delegate = self; addViewController.context = _context; // Create a new managed object context for the new book -- set its persistent store coordinator to the same as that from the fetched results controller's context. NSManagedObjectContext *addingContext = [[NSManagedObjectContext alloc] init]; self.addingManagedObjectContext = addingContext; [addingContext release]; [addingManagedObjectContext setPersistentStoreCoordinator:[[_fetchedResultsController managedObjectContext] persistentStoreCoordinator]]; GuestInfo *info = (GuestInfo *)[NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"GuestInfo" inManagedObjectContext:addingContext]; addViewController.info = info; UINavigationController *navController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:addViewController]; [self.navigationController presentModalViewController:navController animated:YES]; [addViewController release]; [navController release]; } Anything I have to do to initialize the Room or Prefs ? Hope someone can help me out. Thanks

  • How to count the length (number of lines) of a csv file in Rails?

    - by Mathias
Hello, I have a form (Rails) which allows me to load a .csv file using the file_field. In the view: <% form_for(:upcsv, :html => {:multipart => true}) do |f| %> <table> <tr> <td><%= f.label("File:") %></td> <td><%= f.file_field(:filename) %></td> </tr> </table> <%= f.submit("Submit") %> <% end %> Clicking Submit redirects me to another page (create.html.erb). The file was loaded fine, and I was able to read the contents just fine in this second page. I am trying to show the number of lines in the .csv file in this second page. My controller (semi-pseudocode): class UpcsvController < ApplicationController def index end def create file = params[:upcsv][:filename] ... #params[:upcsv][:file_length] = file.length # Show number of lines in the file #params[:upcsv][:file_length] = file.size ... end end Both file.length and file.size returns '91' when my file only contains 7 lines. From the Rails documentation that I read, once the Submit button is clicked, Rails creates a temp file of the uploaded file, and the params[:upcsv][:filename] contains the contents of the temp/uploaded file and not the path to the file. And I don't know how to extract the number of lines in my original file. What is the correct way to get the number of lines in the file? My create.html.erb: <table> <tr> <td>File length:</td> <td><%= params[:upcsv][:file_length] %></td> </tr> </table> I'm really new at Rails (just started last week), so please bear with my stupid questions. Thank you!

  • CSS three column layout, liquid center, no left-margin!

    - by moontear
Hi, I am all in favor of CSS based layouts, but this one I just can't figure out. With a table it is oh-so-easy: <html> <head><title>Three Column</title></head> <body> <p>Test</p> <table style="width: 100%; border: 1px solid black; min-height: 300px;"> <tr> <td style="border: 1px solid green;" colspan="3">Header</td> </tr> <tr> <td style="border: 1px solid green; width: 150px;" rowspan="2">Left</td> <td style="border: 1px solid yellow;">Content</td> <td style="border: 1px solid blue; width: 200px;" rowspan="2">Right</td> </tr> <tr> <td style="border: 1px solid fuchsia;">Additional stuff</td> </tr> <tr><td style="border: 1px solid green;" colspan="3">Footer</td></tr> </body> <html> Left is fixed width Right is fixed width Content is liquid Additional stuff sits beneath content Now here is the important part: "Left" may not exist. Again this is easy with the table. Delete the column and "Content" expands. Beautiful. I have looked through many examples (and "holy grails") of liquid and table less three-column CSS based layouts, but I have not found one which is not using some kind of margin-left for the middle column ("Content"). Any margin-left will suck once "Left" is gone as "Content" will just stay at it's place. I'm just about to switch to old school table based layout for this problem, so I'm hoping someone has some idea - I don't care about excess markup, wrappers and the like, I would just like to know how to solve this with plain CSS. Btw: look at how easy equal height columns are... Cheers PS: No CSS3 please

  • Should an event-sourced aggregate root have access to the event sourcing repository?

    - by JD Courtoy
I'm working on an event-sourced CQRS implementation, using DDD in the application / domain layer. I have an object model that looks like this: public class Person : AggregateRootBase { private Guid? _bookingId; public Person(Identification identification) { Apply(new PersonCreatedEvent(identification)); } public Booking CreateBooking() { // Enforce Person invariants var booking = new Booking(); Apply(new PersonBookedEvent(booking.Id)); return booking; } public void Release() { // Enforce Person invariants // Should we load the booking here from the aggregate repository? // We need to ensure that booking is released as well. var booking = BookingRepository.Load(_bookingId); booking.Release(); Apply(new PersonReleasedEvent(_bookingId)); } [EventHandler] public void Handle(PersonBookedEvent @event) { _bookingId = @event.BookingId; } [EventHandler] public void Handle(PersonReleasedEvent @event) { _bookingId = null; } } public class Booking : AggregateRootBase { private DateTime _bookingDate; private DateTime? _releaseDate; public Booking() { //Enforce invariants Apply(new BookingCreatedEvent()); } public void Release() { //Enforce invariants Apply(new BookingReleasedEvent()); } [EventHandler] public void Handle(BookingCreatedEvent @event) { _bookingDate = SystemTime.Now(); } [EventHandler] public void Handle(BookingReleasedEvent @event) { _releaseDate = SystemTime.Now(); } // Some other business activities unrelated to a person } With my understanding of DDD so far, both Person and Booking are seperate aggregate roots for two reasons: There are times when business components will pull Booking objects separately from the database. (ie, a person that has been released has a previous booking modified due to incorrect information). There should not be locking contention between Person and Booking whenever a Booking needs to be updated. One other business requirement is that a Booking can never occur for a Person more than once at a time. Due to this, I'm concerned about querying the query database on the read side as there could potentially be some inconsistency there (due to using CQRS and having an eventually consistent read database). Should the aggregate roots be allowed to query the event-sourced backing store by id for objects (lazy-loading them as needed)? Are there any other avenues of implementation that would make more sense?

  • Android: roatating images in a loop.

    - by user573736
Hello, I am trying with no success to modify the code example from: http://www.inter-fuser.com/2009/08/android-animations-3d-flip.html so it will rotate the images in a loop, when clicking on the image once. (second click should pause). I tried using Handler and threading but cannot update the view since only the main thread can update UI. Exception I get from the code below: android.view.ViewRoot$CalledFromWrongThreadException: Only the original thread that created a view hierarchy can touch its views. [in 'image1.startAnimation(rotation);' ('applyRotation(0, 90);' from the main thread)] package com.example.flip3d; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.View; import android.view.animation.AccelerateInterpolator; import android.widget.ImageView; public class Flip3d extends Activity { private ImageView image1; private ImageView image2; private boolean isFirstImage = true; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); image1 = (ImageView) findViewById(R.id.image01); image2 = (ImageView) findViewById(R.id.image02); image2.setVisibility(View.GONE); image1.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View view) { if (isFirstImage) { applyRotation(0, 90); isFirstImage = !isFirstImage; } else { applyRotation(0, -90); isFirstImage = !isFirstImage; } } }); } private void applyRotation(float start, float end) { // Find the center of image final float centerX = image1.getWidth() / 2.0f; final float centerY = image1.getHeight() / 2.0f; // Create a new 3D rotation with the supplied parameter // The animation listener is used to trigger the next animation final Flip3dAnimation rotation = new Flip3dAnimation(start, end, centerX, centerY); rotation.setDuration(500); rotation.setFillAfter(true); rotation.setInterpolator(new AccelerateInterpolator()); rotation.setAnimationListener(new DisplayNextView(isFirstImage, image1, image2)); if (isFirstImage) { image1.startAnimation(rotation); } else { image2.startAnimation(rotation); } } } How can I manage to update the UI and control the rotation within onClick listener? Thank you, Oakist
