• Upper case from System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name.ToString()?

  I hope this isn't oo trivial question, but when I call System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name.ToString() I'm getting back a lower case user ID, but other dev's are getting an upper case user ID. How can I force ystem.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name.ToString() to return an upper case string?

  I have a PHP script that checks the HTTP Referer. if ($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] == 'http://www.example.com/') {...} However, this seems inherintly unsafe ... because what happens if the user goes to 'http://example.com/' or 'http://www.ExaMple.com' (both of which don't match the equality test). Question: what's a better equality test to ensure that the HTTP Referer is coming from 'example.com' ?

• Rendering a View without a Master Page

  Heya, I'm fetching a page using ajax (jquery) and appending certain data to the Requests query string to let the server know it shouldn't render the entire Page, just the view in question to the output buffer. I'm having no luck though, I can detect when the page needs to be rendered partially, but everything I've tried so far (including stuff like return PartialView()) isn't working. Any ideas?   Hi all, I am doing some improvements to an application in vs2008 in c++. When i try to edit resources (for example add an entry in the string table), the vs2008 editor changes the rc file language from LANG_ENGLISH to LANG_NEUTRAL and a non english text is replaced with question marks. If i edit the rc file externally (in notepad), and then load it to the vs2008 it works fine. can anybody help me solve this? thanks Shimon

My question is, is there a standard that all RSS feeds support (Do all of them have date, title etc)? If so, is there a XSD that describes this. The main problem is that changing orientation generates random crashes on many screens.
