How do I hide a column from a view when it's a key in a connected web part in SharePoint?

I have a column that's effectively a foreign key. I'm using a web part (Company) to filter another list (Contact info). Using the SharePoint UI, setting up a connected web part only works when the foreign key is visible in the current view in the web part.

Is there a way around this?

I just want to hide the column.
