I stumbled on an interesting article  that shows how the author used OVD to exposed OES security to protect a portal that only understood LDAP group-based authorization.

This is great because it shows how you can use OES today to build central policies that can be used without needing to rewrite all of your applications - in particular if you just want to leverage rule-based groups.
