The Temporary Flood and Cyclone Reconstruction levy (flood levy) will now apply to individuals for the 2011-2012 year. Tax Laws Amendment Bill 2011 was tabled in parliament in February 2011 and received royal assent in April 2011. The tax tables, however, were released last week in May 2011.
