  • UpdateModel prefix - ASP.NET MVC

    I'm having trouble with TryUpdateModel(). My form fields are named with a prefix but I am using - as my separator and not the default dot. <input type="text" id="Record-Title" name="Record-Title" /> When I try to update the model it does not get updated. If i change the name attribute to Record.Title it works perfectly but that is not what I want to do. bool success = TryUpdateModel(record, "Record"); Is it possible to use a custom separator?

  • Django Interrupted system call when sending email

    Hi, Sometimes, when submitting a form (pretty much any form on my site that sends me an email), I get the following error: File "/usr/lib/python2.5/smtplib.py", line 603, in starttls (resp, reply) = self.docmd("STARTTLS") File "/usr/lib/python2.5/smtplib.py", line 378, in docmd return self.getreply() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/smtplib.py", line 352, in getreply line = self.file.readline() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/socket.py", line 381, in readline data = self._sock.recv(self._rbufsize) error: (4, 'Interrupted system call') My code is sending email via gmail. I am also using django contact-form which does the same thing. The problem doesn't always happen. It seems very random. At one point today it got so bad that it displayed the error every time I submitted a form. Restarting apache fixes the problem for one submission and then it does it again. I have checked the RAM and there is plenty available (about 350MB available). Can someone lead me in the right direction? What does this error mean? What can I do to prevent this. Thanks.

  • Why my button can trigger the UI to scroll and my TimerTask inside the activity can't?

    Long Story Short: a method of my activity updates and scrolls the ListView through an ArrayAdapter like it should, but a method of an internal TimerTask for polling messages (which are displayed in the ListView) updates the ListView, but don't scroll it. Why?   • Remove Clutter from the Opera Speed Dial Page

    Do you want to clean up the Speed Dial page in Opera so that only the thumbnails are visible? Today we show you a couple of tweaks that will make it happen. Speed Dial Page The search bar and text at the bottom take up room and add clutter to the look and feel of Opera’s Speed Dial page. Changing the Settings Two small tweaks to the config settings will clean it all up. To get started type opera:config into the address bar and press enter. Type “speed” into the quick find bar and look for the Speed Dial State entry. Change the 1 to 2 and click save. You will see the following message concerning the changes…click OK. Next type “search” into the quick find bar and look for the Speed Dial Search Type entry. Remove all of the text in the blank and click save. Once again you will see a message about the latest change that you have made. At this point you may need to restart Opera for both changes to take full effect. There will be a noticeable difference in how the Speed Dial page looks afterwards and is much cleaner without the Search bar and text field. You will also still be able to access the right click context menu just like before. Conclusion If you have been looking to get a cleaner and less cluttered Speed Dial page in Opera, then these two little hacks will get the job done!   • Which of the following Java coding fragments is better?

    This isn't meant to be subjective, I am looking for reasons based on resource utilisation, compiler performance, GC performance etc. rather than elegance. Oh, and the position of brackets doesn't count, so no stylistic comments please. Take the following loop; Integer total = new Integer(0); Integer i; for (String str : string_list) { i = Integer.parse(str); total += i; } versus... Integer total = 0; for (String str : string_list) { Integer i = Integer.parse(str); total += i; } In the first one i is function scoped whereas in the second it is scoped in the loop. I have always thought (believed) that the first one would be more efficient because it just references an existing variable already allocated on the stack, whereas the second one would be pushing and popping i each iteration of the loop. There are quite a lot of other cases where I tend to scope variables more broadly than perhaps necessary so I thought I would ask here to clear up a gap in my knowledge. Also notice that assignment of the variable on initialisation either involving the new operator or not. Do any of these sorts of semi-stylistic semi-optimisations make any difference at all?

  • Problem with .release behavior in file_operations

    Hello, I'm dealing with a problem in a kernel module that get data from userspace using a /proc entry. I set open/write/release entries for my own defined /proc entry, and manage well to use it to get data from userspace. I handle errors in open/write functions well, and they are visible to user as open/fopen or write/fwrite/fprintf errors. But some of the errors can only be checked at close (because it's the time all the data is available). In these cases I return something different than 0, which I supposed to be in some way the value 'close' or 'fclose' will return to user. But whatever the value I return my close behave like if all is fine. To be sure I replaced all the release() code by a simple 'return(-1);' and wrote a program that open/write/close the /proc entry, and prints the close return value (and the errno). It always return '0' whatever the value I give. Behavior is the same with 'fclose', or by using shell mechanism (echo "..." /proc/my/entry). Any clue about this strange behavior that is not the one claimed in many tutorials I found? BTW I'm using RHEL5 kernel (2.6.18, redhat modified), on a 64bit system. Thanks. Regards, Yannick

  • How to I change the text location on my google map for map clusters in Fluster2?

    Hi, I'm using google maps to create a bunch of POI on a map. I'm using the Fluster2 library to cluster the POI together when there are too many in a certain location. This all works fine and I'm very happy but I would like to move where the fluster2 text is written so it matches my custom icon. ie: it has a marker with 5 written over it so that you know there are 5 poi under that cluster. Does anyone know how to change this or set the text to a specific location? Thanks The Net Duck

When I searched, I found Spam Assassin, which they say is used as sapm filters in many mail servers. Can I create a spam tester using Spam Assassin? Another option I found is one Litmus API, which is a paid service. Is there any options other than these two? Freeware is more preferred. My project is a J2EE web application using Spring.

    Hi, This is my doubt on what we regard as a "unit" while unit-testing. say I have a method like this, public String myBigMethod() { String resultOne = moduleOneObject.someOperation(); String resultTwo = moduleTwoObject.someOtherOperation(resultOne); return resultTwo; } ( I have unit-tests written for someOperation() and someOtherOperation() seperately ) and this myBigMethod() kinda integrates ModuleOne and ModuleTwo by using them as above, then, is the method "myBigMethod()" still considered as a "unit" ? Should I be writing a test for this "myBigMethod()" ? Say I have written a test for myBigMethod()... If testSomeOperation() fails, it would also result in testMyBigMethod() to fail... Now testMyBigMethod()'s failure might show a not-so-correct-location of the bug. One-Cause causing two tests to fail doesn't look so good to me. But donno if there's any better way...? Is there ?   • Fake location for the device (custom)

    I know there are a few apps out there to fake a devices location but specifically what i want to do is use a location grabbed from a url. What direction should I look for setting the location on the device. The scenario i have is a jailbroken Wi-Fi iPad tethered to a nexus one. The nexus one would host a background service that when a request is recieved, it would respond with gps data of its current location. The jailbroken ipad would have a background service that either updated the location on a time interval, or on a per request basis (depending on how i have to implement it) by submitting a request to the tethered nexus one service. That data would then be set on the ipad and an application requesting location would get the service data. The goal is to recreate the location faker app's functionality with the exception of the spoofed location comes from the nexus ones gps via the service but i have not yet found out how to set the location data for the device. I can ofcourse implement this in a per app basis but it would be awesome to have any app be able to use it.

  • EXC_BAD_ACCESS when trying to release an ABRecordRef

    I've got the following class that is a wrapper around an ABPerson (ABRecordRef): @interface Recipient : NSObject { ABRecordRef person; } - (id)initWithPerson:(ABRecordRef)person; @end @implementation - (id)initWithPerson:(ABRecordRef)_person { if(self = [super init]) person = CFRetain(_person); return self; } - (void)dealloc { if(person) CFRelease(person); [super dealloc]; } @end I've left some of the methods out, but they aren't relevant to this question. Everything works fine, except I get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS on the if(person) CFRelease(person); line. Why does this happen? I'm not calling CFRelease or CFRetain at all anywhere else in my app.

  • Why can I run JUnit tests for my Spring project, but not a main method?

    I am using JDBC to connect to MySQL for a small application. In order to test without altering the real database, I'm using HSQL in memory for JUnit tests. I'm using Spring for DI and DAOs. Here is how I'm configuring my HSQL DataSource <bean id="mockDataSource" class="org.springframework.jdbc.datasource.SingleConnectionDataSource"> <property name="driverClassName" value="org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver"/> <property name="url" value="jdbc:hsqldb:mem:mockSeo"/> <property name="username" value="sa"/> </bean> This works fine for my JUnit tests which use the mock DB. But when I try to run a main method, I find the following error: Error creating bean with name 'mockDataSource' defined in class path resource [beans.xml]: Error setting property values; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.PropertyBatchUpdateException; nested PropertyAccessExceptions (1) are: PropertyAccessException 1: org.springframework.beans.MethodInvocationException: Property 'driverClassName' threw exception; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not load JDBC driver class [org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver] I'm running from Eclipse, and I'm using the Maven plugin. Is there a reason why this would work as a Test, but not as a main()? I know that the main method itself is not the problem, because it works if I remove all references to the HSQL DataSource from my Spring Configuration file.

  • Is there an easy way to do click-and-drag scrolling in text frames?

    I have a div with overflow:auto and a scroll bar, and I'd like to be able to drag the contents to scroll. I don't need to be able to select text. Is there an easy way to do this? A jQuery plugin would be good, otherwise plain old JavaScript would be fine. It seems I haven't made myself clear enough. There's a div with a fixed height that I want to scroll. Instead of picking up the scroll bar, I want to click and drag inside the text in the opposite direction. Like on an iPhone.   • Server and Network Lag

    At my home I have a server and my computer. Server has Windows Server 2008 Standart 64 bit installed and then my computer has Windows 7 64 bit installed. My home router is DIR-615 My server has a game server installed on it and basically total open connections on server are around 700. Once its around 700 server and then whole home network lags really badly. My internet connection is good and only around 600kb/s is being used out of 2mb/s (real download/upload speeds). So far I assume that my router has a connection limit and with server + my computer connections it peaks at around 1k and lags everything. Another assumption server lag comes from connection limit. On the internet I have read that standart version of server has connection limit of 700 + 10 reserved. I do not rmember where I found that information but it was on microsoft website. So I have two options. First is to upgrade my router to Netgear FVS318G-100 and second is to change connections limit on server. Any advices? Thank you

  • How to move iframe along the DOM without losing it's content?

    Is it possible? I have tried to move it, but iframe contents dissapear. Tried to get contents of iframe and place them in the new place but all handlers ofc dissapear. Tried to do the same, but with new jQuery 1.4.2 feature, that clones all events along with it. But it doesn't work :) So I have decided to ask here for help. How to move the damn iframe to another place in the document without losing it's contents? ^_^ Thanks Added: txtad_iframe = ad_container.find('iframe'); its_contents = txtad_iframe.contents(); its_body = its_contents.find("div:first").clone(true).insertAfter(cthis.find('#photos')); new_ad.append(its_body); Here i'm trying to copy contents to new ad container. But it doesn't work. Context banner doesn't react on click event. I have tried to move ad_container to container, but iframe body content dissapears.

  • Masking/Hiding URL for ASP.net web application

    Hi, I am working in an ASP.NET mvc application. With regards to URL's I could see the Controller and action names in the address bar when user navigates between pages. Is there a way to hide them, such that the address bar always displays http://mywebsite.com without any action names or controller names suffixing them, or is there any other standard practices? Or is it ok to leave the URL as such which can contain action and controller suffixes?
