  • Css and different size of monitor?

    Hi, I am doing a website (WIP). I encountered some css problems, hope you guys can help me. My current situation: I have am image, lets called it "bg.png" with the width about 2500px, and at the center of the background image has my logo. My website should target all size (from small 800 x 600 to 2400 x XXX) users. My problems How do I centralize the background image(bg.png), so that the logo always positioned in the centered(horizontally) of different size of monitors screen?

  • CF - Mobile Managed Gestures

    Im looking for a nice demo/sample using Windows Mobile Managed Gestures. I have a main view that contains a single panel. Every item in the panel is another panel containing pictureBox and a label. I would like to implement scrooling (finger flicking) to avoid using thin scroolers. Are the Windows Mobile Managed Gestures the right solution to get this working, if so can some one provide me with a begginers demo? I downloaded the source code from http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/gestureswm/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=3438 but i would need a simple example using this source. Also a question ... does this work only on 6.5? Even if i got this working is there a way to support this in 6.0 ? thanx!

  • jQuery trigger function on change

    I have the following two slider functions which work well and display like so: I have diskAmount and transferAmount stored in global vars, however what I am now trying to figure out is how do I get the sum of the two to initially show as the monthly fee, and then update when either of the two sliders are changed. So in my screenshot above the initial state will be $24.75, and the fee will update if the sliders change. Can anyone point me in the right direction?   • Passing parameter to SOAP Web Service Requests Using Visual Studio Team System 2008

    How can I pass in the current datetime parameter to a SOAP request? I know you can pass in parameters by adding a datasource to the web test project and reference it like this {{DataSource.TableName.FieldName}}. But I want to pass in current datetime parameter as a dynamic value (something like DateTime.Now). How do I go about doing this?   • Keeping asp.net mvc site IIS6 always ready to accept requests

    I have asp.net mvc intranet site that is deployed to IIS6. Site is used rarely so app pool tends to shutdown. When user click the page for the very first time 5-10 seconds are passed till page appears (app pool started and site is compiled). Situation repeats for the next page and so on. AFAIK IIS7 has option to disable App pool shutdown but IIS6 lacks it. Nowadays i have special utility that pings site periodically (10 pages) in order to determine if pages are available and keeps site always ready for users this way. Is it normal or may be I've missed something in IIS6 configuration? Do you use such pinger apps in production to notify support/admins if site is not available? Thank you in advance!

  • How to get the data buffer of screen in screen stack in Android?

    Currently I want to develop one Activity to allow the user to see the screens/activites of all running tasks , then the user can select one of them to switch it to foreground. As I known, HTC Sence seems already to have this implementation for Home screen, to display the thumbnail of all Home panels in one screen. Does anybody know how to access screen stack in Android?   • which jquery plugin can do the dynamic smooth vertical menu scroll?

    ok i'm new to jquery, but how can i do a feed like the one at twitter.com where they have the "top tweets" update with the latest tweet by scrolling the whole menu down just enough space to allow the new item to fade into the top spot? easy to do? do i need a plugin? i looked around and what i don't want is just a carousal type plugin that just loops in a cirle. i want to add a new news feed item dynamically like in the twitter top tweets. thanks

    I am looking into the iPhone in app purchased models and need to implement a subscription. Ex content will be available for 24 hours. Now the most important thing is that it needs to be available on all the other devices, so bought on the iPhone, viewable on the iPad. I'm not sure how this works ? I need to store some information on the developer server but is this the transaction id and current date/time so when launching the app on the iPad, you will attempt to buy the content again. Apple will see that this user already bought that and hopefully returns the transaction ID. At that moment I can verify if the time limit it still valid or not. Can anyone confirm this method off working? If this is correct is there a 'renew'?

  • Usage history for Windows 7

    Hello, a relative of mine has a problem. She's working at a company, using Windows 7 and can't set a password because if she's not there her boss might want to use some of her data, but she has suspicions that there is a colleague who spies on her files, because there is no password set for her computer. Does anybody know how can somebody view some kind of history of when was the computer turned on before and what files were opened/runned? Thanksin advance for your answers.

  • Calling jquery function from ascx not working

    Hi Guys, I'm having a problem with the following situation. I have an ascx which contains a submit button for a search criteria and I am trying to call a validation function in a js file I've used throughout the site (this is the first time I'm using it in an ascx). Since I did that alert testing, I am getting the first alert, then nothing with no errors. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks

  • How to remove a non-empty directory which is not owned by the user in Linux?

    If a directory "foo" is owned by user A and contains a directory "bar", which is owned by root, user A can simply remove it with rmdir, which is logical, because "foo" is writable by user A. But if the directory "bar" contains another root-owned file, the directory can't be removed, because files in it must be removed first, so it becomes empty. But "bar" itself is not writable, so it's not possible to remove files in it. Is there a way around it? Or, convince me otherwise why it's necessary.

    I’ve been trying to use RML to process some files and couldn’t figure out why the numbers where all so much smaller than they should be. I then found a line in the RML output “Found [TRACE_STOP] event indicating the end of the trace files” This causes RML to stop processing further data, oh. In my case I had stopped the trace to add some error events because the client was experiencing errors. How do I get RML to process all the other data I wondered.   • CSS new line issues

    Hi, I'm trying to create a breezebrowser template (used for generating image galleries locally, outputs HTML). I've taken the HTML from my wordpress template and managed to generate the following gallery http://uploads.peasyphotos.com/20100607t-candids/gallery/ but each image goes on a new line and i don't know why, i presume it's in the CSS. What should I be looking for in the CSS to try and stop this, or what can I put around my template code to disable the CSS for that part? Thanks

  • Android setImageURI out of memory error

    I have a very small activity that must show an image. If picture is not very small (for example 1.12 Mb 2560x1920) it produces out of memory on change screen orientation. I tried getDrawable.setCallback(null) but no luck.   • Capture Silverlight 4 event when panel clicked

    I have a small Silverlight 4 app that essentially consists of a grid containing a label and a combo box. When I click the label, I replace it with a second text box so that I can edit the label (much the way you can edit the name of a Silverlight control in VS2010). I have a LostFocus event handler on the text box that will end editing when the control loses focus (restoring the updated label). Trouble is, users tend to click on the panel when they are done editing rather than on another control (or hitting Enter, which is also supported). I tried adding a left mouse down event handler to the panel. However, that only fires when the text box does not have the focus (I guess the text box captured the mouse?) Is there an approach to recognize that a non-input control was clicked that would enable me to terminate edit mode?
