  • SimpleXML SOAP response Namespace issues

    Hi. After spending SEVERAL frustrated hours on this I am asking for your help. I am trying to get the content of particular nodes from a SOAP response. The response is $XmlStr = <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"<xmlns:ns1="http://soap.xxxxxx.co.uk/"><env:Body><ns1:PlaceOrderResponse><xxxxxOrderNumber></xxxxxOrderNumber><ErrorArray><Error><ErrorCode>24</ErrorCode><ErrorText>The+client+order+number+3002254+is+already+in+use</ErrorText></Error><Error><ErrorCode>1</ErrorCode><ErrorText>Aborting</ErrorText></Error></ErrorArray></ns1:PlaceOrderResponse></env:Body></env:Envelope> I am trying to get at the nodes and children of <ErrorArray. Because of the XML containing namespaces $XmlArray = new SimpleXMLElement($XmlStr); foreach ($XmlArray->env:Envelope->env:Body->ns1:PlaceOrderResponse->ErrorArray->Error as $Error) { echo $Error->ErrorCode."<br />";<br /> } doesn't work. I have read a number of articles such as http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2005/10/20/simplexml-and-namespaces/ htp://blog.stuartherbert.com/php/2007/01/07/using-simplexml-to-parse-rss-feeds/ and about 20 questions on this site which unfortunately are not helping. (the second link has htp:// as a newbie here I cannot post more than one link) Even writing, $XmlArray = new SimpleXMLElement($XmlStr); echo "<br /><br /><pre>\n"; print_r($XmlArray); echo "<pre><br /><br />\n"; gives SimpleXMLElement Object ( ) which makes me wonder if the soap response ($XmlStr) is actually a valid input for SimpleXMLElement. It seems that the line $XmlArray = new SimpleXMLElement($XmlStr); is not doing what I expect it to. Any help on how to get the nodes from the XML above would be very welcome. Obviously getting it to work (having a working example) is what I need in the short term, but if someone could help me understand what I am doing wrong would be better in the long term. Cheers. Stu

    Why is there different syntax same outcome? For example # Example 1 if($myCondition == true) : #my code here endif; if($myCondition == true) { #my code here } # Example 2 foreach($films as $film) : #my code here endforeach; foreach($films as $film) { #my code here } Also I have been using <?= for ages now and i now understand that is deprecated and I should be using <?php echo Is this the case and why? Its alot more annoying to have to write that out each time. What are your thoughts?

  • Printings using CUPS, when can my app quit?

    I have an linux app that uses cups for printing, but I've noticed that if I print and then quit my app right away my printout never appears. So I assume that my app has to wait for it to actually come out of the printer before quitting, so does anyone know how to tell when it's finished printing?? I'm using libcups to print a postscript file that my app generates. So I use the command to print the file and it then returns back to my app. So my app thinks that the document is off to the printer queue when I guess it has not made it there yet. So rather than have all my users have to look on the screen for the printer icon in the system tray I would rather have a solution in code, so if they try and quit before it has really been sent off I can alert them to the fact. Also the file I generate is a temporary file so it would be nice to know when it is finished with so I can delete it.

  • Signals and threads - good or bad design decision?

    I have to write a program that performs highly computationally intensive calculations. The program might run for several days. The calculation can be separated easily in different threads without the need of shared data. I want a GUI or a web service that informs me of the current status. My current design uses BOOST::signals2 and BOOST::thread. It compiles and so far works as expected. If a thread finished one iteration and new data is available it calls a signal which is connected to a slot in the GUI class. My question(s): Is this combination of signals and threads a wise idea? I another forum somebody advised someone else not to "go down this road". Are there potential deadly pitfalls nearby that I failed to see? Is my expectation realistic that it will be "easy" to use my GUI class to provide a web interface or a QT, a VTK or a whatever window?   • ASP. NET MVC2: Where abouts do I set Current.User from a Session variable?

    Hi, I'm trying to get authentication and authorisation working in an ASP .NET MVC2 site. I've read loads of tutorials and some books which explain how you can use attributes to require authorisation (and membership in a role) like this: [Authorize(Roles="Admin")] public ActionResult Index() { return View(); } I've made classes that implement IIdentity and IPrincipal, I create a userPrincipal object once the user has successfully logged in and I add it to a session variable. When the user goes to another page I want it to set the HttpContext.Current.User to the object that I stored in the session, something like this: if (Session["User"] != null) { HttpContext.Current.User = Session["User"] as MyUser; } My question is: Where abouts do I put the code directly above? I tried Application_AuthenticateRequest but it tells me Session state is not available in this context. Many thanks.

Now, i tried to access that same table in another session.then it show an error, Table used by another user. So is it possible that, can we release teh table with in transaction,so another user can access it.   • how to add language support to android

    hello i hope someone put me on the right direction with my problem i want to work on supporting my language, specially the writing on android we use Arabic characters with little modification ( like parsi, urdu etc).. i was hoping android has fully supported Arabic , then i would make changes to work with my language. but even 2.2 dosn't support Arabic . it just show Arabic characters and it is not connected. that is "????? " is displayed "? ? ? ? ?". some individuals have made Arabic support on CyanogenMod ROM's for some HTC phones, but they would not tell how they made it. I'v got the android source code, i want to know where to start, where to make changes , what is the library that handle fonts , shaping engine etc .. ps : android.com and other android related google groups are blocked in my country.

  • Silverlight isolated storage: what identifies an "application"?

    The docs for Silverlight's IsolatedStorageFile.GetUserStoreForApplication just say that the isolated storage is specific to the "application", and that each different application will have its own storage independent of all other "applications" (but with one quota for the entire domain). That's great, but I haven't found anything yet that explains just what "application" is supposed to mean (either in the Silverlight docs or the regular .NET Framework docs). What information does Silverlight, in particular, use to decide that "this is application A" and "this is application B"? Does it just go off the URI to the .xap file, or what?

  • XAMPP, MAMP, MySQL, PDO - A deadly combination?

    Hey folks, Previously I've worked on a Symfony project (MySQL PDO based) with XAMPP, with no problems. Since then, I've moved to MAMP - I prefer this - but have hit a snag with my database connection. I've created a test.php like this: <?php try { $dbh = new PDO('mysql:host=localhost;dbname=xxx;port=8889', 'xxx', 'xxx'); foreach($dbh->query('SELECT * from FOO') as $row) { print_r($row); } $dbh = null; } catch (PDOException $e) { print "Error!: " . $e->getMessage() . "<br/>"; die(); } ?> Obviously the *xxx*s are real db connection details. Which when served by MAMP seems to work fine. From terminal however I keep getting the following error when running the file: Error!: SQLSTATE[28000] [1045] Access denied for user 'xxx'@'localhost' (using password: YES) Not sure if the terminal is aiming at a different MySQL socket or something along those lines; but I've tried pointing it to the MAMP socket with a local php.ini file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi All, we have a great site which has been humming along nicely for about 5 months and then in May it went from a page load speed time of 3-5 secs to now an agonising 15+ secs!!! The host has been really helpful and has even shifted the site to a new server which is faster! I guess seeing as though we do not have the insight or your expertise we would ask the Serverfault community and see what this crowd of experts could recommend?     A nice feature in XSD is the IDREF restriction, e.g.: <xs:restriction base="xs:IDREF"> <xs:pattern value="[0-9a-zA-Z\-]+"/> </xs:restriction> I used this restriction with great benefit in a Java JAXWS-project. An object serialized in a SOAP XML datamodel can hold a reference (pointer) to another object in the same SOAP message. I want to try the same approach in a C# WCF-project, can it be done? On the web site Data Contract Schema Reference I can see e.g. Id ignored, Ref forbidden, but I am not sure whether I understand what that means.

  • How to post only a specific ASCX partial instead of the whole page

    I've got an ASPX page rendering a search ascx page which in turn will fill a grid on the main ASPX page. Aside that, I've also got an ascx page which uploads files, like this: <form method="post" action="<%= Url.Action("UploadFile") %>" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <fieldset> <input type="file" name="file" id="file" /> <%=Html.ButtonSubmit("Upload") %> </fieldset></form> Here's the problem: imagine I have searched for a single entry to be displayed on the grid. The grid displays this single entry and after wards, I upload a file and press the button "Upload". The whole page gets posted and the content in the grid is lost, now displaying all the results available. What could I do to prevent this from happening, maintaining the grid state (we're not using ViewState) or otherwise not posting back the whole page but only the ascx with the file upload? Note: I'm new to MVC.

The problem is that if (Boolean.parseBoolean(hasPhone)) returns always false.. How can i get correctly phone numbers? I've tried to call drawContact(String name, String number) before the if statement without querying for the phone number, and it worked (it draws two times the name). but on the LinearLayout they are not ordered alphabetically... how can i order alphabetically (similar to the original contacts app)? thank you in advice, Luca

  • result set using two different views (from an if statement)

    Hi All, I have a bit of code that works with a result set called "result" (original I know) but depending on the incoming variable I'd like to fire the specific query depending. I have the below in an if statement but that just makes the "result" recordset gets those nasty red lines and it doesn't work.
