  • iframe height not taken into account by IE8

    Hi guys, I'm building a dummy widget for a iGoogle/Netvibes like portal. This is a "Google Maps" widget, as it only renders a map centered on a specific location. The widget looks good in all browsers but IE8, in which the height I specify to the <div> that contains the map is not taken into account. Here's the interesting part of the code: <body onload="initialize()" > <div id="map_canvas" style="height:400px; width: 100%;"></div> </body> I have no control on the portal, so the only thing I can modify is the widget itself. I also tried to set the height for the <body>, but same thing. Any idea on why it's not working in IE? Thanks!

  • Jquery draggable with zoom problem

    I am working on a page in witch all its contents are scaled by using zoom. The problem is that when I drag something in the page the dragging item gets a bad position that seems relative to the zoom amount. To solve this I tried to do some math on the position of the draggable component, but seems that even tho visually its corrected, the "true" position its not recalculated. here is some code to explain better: var zoom = Math.round((parseFloat($("body").css("zoom")) / 100)*10)/10; var x = $(this).data('draggable').position; $(this).data('draggable').position.left = Math.round(x.left/zoom); $(this).data('draggable').position.top = Math.round(x.top/zoom); Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Is there a comprehensive list of the NHibernate event listeners and when they actually fire?

    So I am looking for a nice list of NHibernate events that actually describes when they are fired, in a typical scenario. IE something like PreUpdateEventListener - Fires when an object that is already persistent is changing I currently just rifle through the source and try to figure it out, but it's kinda painful, and I figure that someone must have done this already at some point.

    Hi there, I'm making a Twitter client in Java, and I've came to a problem I don't know how to solve it. How the hell I store open auth for twitter? I mean it doesn't make very sense for a person to allow an application every time he wants to use the client.     Hi guys, the problem is: I want to use the same ColorConvertedBitmap object for two purposes, firstly I set everyting: ColorConvertedBitmap conv = new ColorConvertedBitmap(); conv.BeginInit(); conv.SourceColorContext = new ColorContext(PixelFormats.Bgra32); conv.Source = myImage; conv.DestinationFormat = PixelFormats.Pbgra32; conv.DestinationColorContext = new ColorContext(PixelFormats.Pbgra32); conv.EndInit(); and then I would like to use the same object for another transformation.   • VirtualBox - bridged adapter settings fail in Windows 7 host

    Consider a Windows 7 host where the VirtualBox guest is configured to use Bridged Adapter. An exception is raised when starting this guest machine: Failed to open/create the internal network HostInterfaceNetworking (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND) Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) What resolution is there to this problem for Bridged Adapters in VirtualBox? The solutions attempted: changed Adapter Type to all available choices. No changes. uninstall VirtualBox, reboot host, re-install VirtualBox. No change in behaviour. edited the machine's .xml file, wiping out all <Network> <Adapter> nodes. Had VirtualBox re-create those nodes. No change. Host Details Oracle VirtualBox 3.2.4 (release 62467) Windows 7 x86

  • What's the easiest way to move from one Macintosh to another?

    Here's the story: Company bought me a $599 Mac mini (as of this writing, 2.26GHz/160GB HD/2GB RAM) I have it set up to some extent with software for development Company decides it needs a second Mac for QA I convince company to buy the $799 Mac mini for the second machine (as of this writing, 2.53GHz/320GB HD/4GB RAM), let me have it for development, and let QA have the $599 Mac mini Company does just that, now I have both So, what's the best way to move from one of these to the other? Just set up everything on the second one and be done with it? Can I transfer things from the first to the second somehow? I'm running Time Machine backups to an external drive on the $599 Mac mini, if that helps. Also both of these will be on the network at the same time, other than renaming one of the machines are there considerations to be had there?

  • Using Bundler along with preinstalled gems

    So I've got thin installed the old fashioned way: gem install thin I put an app on the server and installed all of its required gems via bundler: bundle install But, when I tried to start the app with thin start, it can't find any of the bundler-installed gems since they're not installed in the default gems directory. My question is: how do I make this work? Do I need to install thin via bundler as well? Will that still set up the thin executable in /usr/bin so I can start it from the command line like normal?   • How do I get the key of an item when doing a FOR loop through a dictionary or list in Python?

    Hi I am new to Python. Say I have a list: list = ['A','B','C','D'] The key for each item respectively here is 0,1,2,3 - right? Now I am going to loop through it with a for loop... for item in list: print item That's great, I can print out my list. How do I get the key here? For example being able to do: print key print item on each loop? If this isn't possible with a list, where keys are not declared myself, is it possible with a Dictionary? Thanks

    Hey all, I'm pretty new to Javascript, so forgive me if this is a simple question. I'm trying to access the length of a set of checkboxes in a form using Javascript. However, I need to be able to change the "name" field of the checkboxes to check several different sets of them. Right now, my sample code looks like: var set = "set" + x; totalLength = optionBoxes.set.length; The variable x is being incremented by a for loop that wraps the whole thing and the name of the checkbox sets that I'm trying to access are set0, set1, set2, etc. Thanks. Is it precisely the size of the value? (I would expect so, but then why is it worded "attribute-value pair"?) Or is it the size of the attribute name plus the size of the attribute value? (In that case, there would be motivation to give your attributes really short names.)   • CakePHP - hasMany not fetching?

    Maybe I am just having a slow day, but for the life of me I can't figure out why this is happening. I haven't done CakePHP in a while and I am trying to use the 1.3 version, but this doesn't seem to be working... I have two models: area.php <?php class Area extends AppModel { var $name = 'Area'; var $useTable = 'OR_AREA'; var $primaryKey = 'A_ID'; var $belongsTo = array( 'Building' => array( 'className' => 'Building', 'foreignKey' => 'FK_B_ID', ), 'Facility' => array( 'className' => 'Facility', 'foreignKey' => 'FK_F_ID', ), 'System' => array( 'className' => 'System', 'foreignKey' => 'FK_S_ID', ) ); } ?> building.php <?php class Building extends AppModel { var $name = 'Building'; var $useTable = 'OR_BLDG'; var $primaryKey = 'B_ID'; var $hasMany = array( 'Area' => array( 'className' => 'Area', 'foreignKey' => 'FK_B_ID', ) ); } ?> OR_AREA has a column titled FK_B_ID that refers to the B_ID. If I run something like: $this->Building->find('all', array('recursive' => 2)); I get empty [Area] arrays for all the Buildings even though there are plenty of Areas in the OR_AREA table that are associated to buildings. Not only that, the Query Table doesn't even show CakePHP attempted to find anything but all the records in OR_BLDG. All the more puzzling, if I do: $this->Area->find('all'); I get all the Areas and the [Building] arrays are populated when appropriate. What am I missing?

  • jQuery capture all changes to named inpt on a form

    I'm trying to determine when any of a set of named input/select/radio/checked/hidden fields in a form change. In particular, I'd like to capture when any changes are made to fields matching jQuery's selector $("form :input"), and where that input is has a name attribute. However, the form isn't static i.e. some of the fields are dynamically added later. My initial thought is to keep track of when new named elements matching :input are added, and then add an event handler, like this: function on_change() { alert("The form element with name " + $(this).attr("name") + " has changed"); } function reg_new_e_handler(input_element) { input_element.change(on_change); } However, I'm quite hopeful I can avoid this with some jQuery magic. In particular, is there a way to register an event handler in jQuery that would handle input elements that match the following: $("form :input").filter( function () { $(this).attr("name") } ).change(on_change); However, have this event set update whenever new input elements are added. I've thought that it may be possible to capture keyup event on the form node with $("form").keyup(on_change), but I'm not so sure how one could capture change events. I'd also like this to capture keyup events. Thank you for reading. Brian
