• Take <span> class and put in <a> attribute jquery

  Hello, I have html like this. <span class="gallery-open-item year-icon-Yes 2010"> <a href="/year/none"> </a> </span> I need to check by jquery if span.gallery-open-item have year-icon-Yes class take next(for this example is 2010) class and place it in a href attribute like this All this I need in jQuery or JavaScript. I have done some experiments but I can't take 2010 to normal javascript variable. Any ideas? Sorry for my english.

• Using struts.xml with convention plugin

  This seems like it should be easy to do, but I just can make it work. I'm hooked on the convention plugin in Struts 2.1. However, I need to define some package-level configuration such as a new interceptor stack and exception mappings. I'd like to use the struts.xml file for this, but I can't get the convention-based packages matched to the struts.xml packages. • raid 0 failure, drives look fine

  Hello, after a lovely blue screen my vista 64 machine decided to reconfigure one of my drives to no longer be part of my raid volume. So now my raid fails as it only has one member disk. This happened to me about 6 months ago and I just changed the disk in question back to a raid disk and all was well. However I cant seem to find that option in my bios or raid config anymore :( Any help would be appreciated

• DB Architecture : Linking to intersection or to main tables?

  Hi, I'm creating fantasy football system on my website but i'm very confuse about how I should link some of my table. Tables The main table is Pool which have all the info about the ruling of the fantasy draft. A standard table User, which contains the usual stuff. Intersection table called pools_users which contains id,pool_id,user_id because a user could be in more than one pool, and a pool contains more than 1 user. The problem Table Selections = that's the table that is causing problem. That's the selection that the user choose for his pool. This is related to the Player table but thats not relevant for this problem. Should I link this table to the table Pools_users or should I link it with both main table Pool and User. This table contains id,pool_id,user_id,player_id,... What is the best way link my tables? When I want to retrieve my data, I normally want the information to be divided BY users. "This user have those selections, this one those selections, etc).

• Silverlight: Creating a round button template

  I decided to try making a circular button, so using expression blend, I dropped a button control on my xaml. I then created a template from it by choosing "Edit Control Parts (Template)" - "Edit a Copy". I am trying to design it so that the left and right sides of the button were always perfect semi circles, so that no matter how tall or wide the button grew, the corner radius would max out at either half the width or half the length of the button, depending on which was smaller. That way, if the button was stretched tall, the top and buttom would be perfect half circles, and if the button was stretched wide, the left and right would be perfect half circles. Is it possible to do this?

• Harvesting Dynamic HTTP Content to produce Replicating HTTP Static Content

  I have a slowly evolving dynamic website served from J2EE. The response time and load capacity of the server are inadequate for client needs. Moreover, ad hoc requests can unexpectedly affect other services running on the same application server/database. I know the reasons and can't address them in the short term. I understand HTTP caching hints (expiry, etags....) and for the purpose of this question, please assume that I have maxed out the opportunities to reduce load. I am thinking of doing a brute force traversal of all URLs in the system to prime a cache and then copying the cache contents to geodispersed cache servers near the clients. I'm thinking of Squid or Apache HTTPD mod_disk_cache. I want to prime one copy and (manually) replicate the cache contents. I don't need a federation or intelligence amongst the slaves. When the data changes, invalidating the cache, I will refresh my master cache and update the slave versions, probably once a night. Has anyone done this? Is it a good idea? Are there other technologies that I should investigate? I can program this, but I would prefer a configuration of open source technologies solution Thanks

• How can I reload a datagrid in flash action script, after an xml file has loaded

  Hi Everyone, Does anyone know how to change the rowcount of a datagrid in flash after it has been created on the stage. I am loading an xml file externally that contains the number of rows the datagrid should have, but the problem is that becuase this file is not loaded at runtime, it just picks the default 3 items. Maybe I have to reload the datagrid on the stage, or loop until it is defined. Does anyone have experince of this. Regards, Chris

• How to preserve the state of JavaScript closure?

  I am working on a migration platform to migrate web applications from a device to another. I am extending it to add the support for preserving JavaScript state. My main task is to create a file representing the current state of the executing application, to transmit it to another device and to reload the state in the destination device. The basic solution I adopted is to navigate the window object and to save all its descendant properties using JSON as base format for exportation and extending it to implement some features: preserving object reference, even if cyclic (dojox.json.ref library) support for timers Date non-numericproperties of arrays reference to DOM elements The most important task I need to solve now is exportation of closures. At this moment I didn't know how to implement this feature. I read about the internal EcmaScript property [[scope]] containing the scope chain of a function, a list-like object composed by all the nested activation context of the function. Unfortunately it is not accessible by JavaScript. Anyone know if there is a way to directly access the [[scope]] property? Or another way to preserve the state of a closure?

• Eclipse Subversive SVN client not updating local copies with new files

  When I update my local working copy of an SVN repository in Eclipse using the Subversive plugin it isnt bringing any new files which have been added to the SVN repository. It thinks that the local working copy is up to date and if I ask Eclipse to update it it just says no further changes. Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

  What will be the exact definition of leap year ? AFAIK "A year which is divisible by 4 is a leap year.But for century years' the years which are divisible by 400 is a leap year." But that definition makes 100, 200, 300, 400.... upto 1700 NOT LEAP years! But in Gregorian calender all of them are all leap year,check this out. You can also try "call 1700" in Linux to verify. So the correct algorithm foe leap year would be if ( (year % 4 == 0) && ( year <= 1700 || year % 100 != 0 || year % 400 == 0 )) printf("%d is a leap year.\n", year); else printf("%d is not a leap year.\n", year); But is this specific to Gregorian calender ? Even if that is the case why is it not mentioned here ? Regards, PS:The history of Gregorian callender seems interesting check out the September month of 1752.

  In C++ we can make primitives unsigned. But they are always positive. Is there also a way to make unsigned negative variables? I know the word unsigned means "without sign", so also not a minus (-) sign. But I think C++ must provide it.

• Omit attribute name from validation error message (at start of it)?

  I write code in English but I'm currently doing a site which is fully translated to another language (validation error messages included). However, I have a problem because validation error messages always seem to include the name of the attribute the error is on at the start of the error, e.g.: Title Prosimo izpolnite naziv fakultete. I want to get rid of the Title at the start, like so: Prosimo izpolnite naziv fakultete. Any help is appreciated. I would rather see if this can be solved without installing any 3rd party plugins. If it's possible to provide translations for attribute names, that would be a cool solution too, but I would still like to know how it can be done both ways (omit or translate).

I've got the shaking code done so I get get a "shaking started" and "shaking ended" message to my game. What I need to have happen is start playing "shave.wav" when shaking starts and loop it until it stops. Is there a way to do this with AudioToolbox/AudioServices? How could I do this if not?

My client (realized in GWT) make a request to my servlet, with some parametres in the URL, as follow: http://localhost:8080/servlet?param=value When in the servlet I retrieve the URL, I have some problem with UTF-8 characters.   Hi guys, I am here with a problem to restore the font setting of my vista. I am using Windows Vista and due to unknown reasons my font settings have been changed to ugly font. I used to get clear fonts previously but all of sudden the fonts have become blur and font name has also changed. all windows programs showing default fonts have been changed. I dun know which is the true font of windows vista and from where to restore. I tried using color and apperance but it didn't worked... so what can be done?

I cleared the datastore and reloaded it. Then I ran the procedures that create the DependencyArcTail objects. However, forwardLinks still doesn't show up as an attribute in the SDK dashboard. Is there any way to force transformer to use UTF-8 instead of entities?
