    Hi, Question - Is it possible to proxy a HTTPS request using HttpListener & HttpWebRequest? (or is it not possbile due to the encryption?) I have got a .NET proxy working by using HttpListener & HttpWebRequest using the approach here. I'm trying to extend this at the moment to listen for HTTPS too (refer this question) however I'm wondering if I'm trying to tackle something that is not possible...That is if this code works by listening for the HTTPS request (using HttpListener) and then copying headers & content across to a new HttpWebRequest, is this flawed as it may not be able to decrypt the request to get the content? But then normal proxy servers obviously can proxy HTTPS, so I guess perhaps it will work because it will just copy across the encrypted content?

  • iPhone GUI for real-time log message display

    My goal is to have a screen on my GUI dedicated to logging real-time messages generated by my internal components. A certain limit will be set on the log messages so that older messages are pruned. I'm thinking about implementing using a UITextView with a NSMutableString to store the output. I would have to perform manual pruning somehow on the NSMutableString object. Is a better way to implement this?

    Hi: What is the differences between dependencymanagement and dependencies? I have seen the docs at apache maven web site.However I got nothing. It seems that a dependency defined under the DependencyManagement can be used in its child modules without sepcify the version.For example: A parent project(Pro-par) define a dependency under the dependencyManagement: <dependencyManagement> <dependencies> <dependency> <groupId>junit</groupId> <artifactId>junit</artifactId> <version>3.8</version> </dependency> </dependencies> </dependencyManagement> Then at the child of Pro-par, I can use the junit : <dependencies> <dependency> <groupId>junit</groupId> <artifactId>junit</artifactId> </dependency> </dependencies> However I wonder if it is necessary to define the junit at the parent pom? Why not define it directly at the needed module?

  • test if master dns has transfered copy to slave

    Hello, I setup my master and slave using FreeBSD. I'm currently running the Bind 9.X version, so far everything is working successfully. Just one small problem. I can't get the master copy of my DNS to transfer it to the slave server. I included transfer-allow {192.168.1.111;}; // this is the slave server's IP I ran the rndc reload command to check but I don't see the copy in the /etc/named/master/? Any help would be appreciated and if you would like the layout of my DNS, I can provide that too.

  • Bind9 configured to start at boot, has to be started manually

    I've configured bind9 on my system and it works great when it runs. It's currently configured to be run at runlevel 2 by setting: $ sudo update-rc.d bind9 enable 2 This appears to have done its work: $ tree -f /etc/rc?.d | grep -e ".*bind9$" |-- /etc/rc0.d/K85bind9 -> ../init.d/bind9 |-- /etc/rc2.d/S15bind9 -> ../init.d/bind9 |-- /etc/rc3.d/S15bind9 -> ../init.d/bind9 |-- /etc/rc4.d/S15bind9 -> ../init.d/bind9 |-- /etc/rc5.d/S15bind9 -> ../init.d/bind9 |-- /etc/rc6.d/K85bind9 -> ../init.d/bind9 Booting the system, I believe I am at runlevel 2: $ runlevel N 2 Given the above configuration, when the system is rebooted, bind does not come up. Only on occasion, for some reason, can I resolve hostnames immediately after startup. Far more often than not however, I cannot. I can interrogate the service's status: $ sudo /etc/init.d/bind9 status * could not access PID file for bind9 When the service doesn't start, I can start it successfully via a terminal by issuing $ sudo /etc/init.d/bind9 start And it works great from then on. (I'm used to Gentoo so Ubuntu's model is still a little new to me) I'm not seeing any log indication of a failed attempt to start at boot in syslog. Is there someplace else I should be looking? What else should I look into to get bind working at startup?

    hi. my project uses 2 different C++ compilers, g++ and nvcc (cuda compiler). I have noticed exception thrown from nvcc object files are not caught in g++ object files. are C++ exceptions supposed to be binary compatible in the same machine? what can cause such behavior?

  • manipulating textbox value

    hello All, I am new to the programming world of dojo and web applications. I am trying to acomplish a task where I want to manipulate the textbox value with some text. I tried everything including some code from dojocampus, but even this code doesnot do anything. I have also tried to create an instance , with dojo.widget.byId and dijit.byId and then tried the instance.value = 'newtext' and everything that I could find but for some reason , the textbox is not updating.   • Can't debug code using VS 2010 beta 2

    This is really strange and I can't seem to figure out why it won't work. I have a C# dll that is a add on for another program, the main program is not mine or a .Net app so I am starting it with Start external program in the debugging tab and and passing my program as a command line and the program starts and loads my add on however my Visual Studio debugger doesn't step into the debugger and won't hit my break points. I checked the module window and it's not even loaded in there, I used process explorer and had a look at main program and my dll was loaded into the main app. The project is set to debug, symbols to full and still nothing. I created the project in VS 2008 and it worked fine and am now trying to get this to work in VS 2010 and no go. Anyone know what could be causing this?

  • Crawling not working windows2008

    Hi, We installed a new MOSS 2007 farm on windows 2008 SP2 enviroment. We used SQL2008 too. Configuration is 1 index, 1 FE and 1 server with 2008, all on ESX 4.0. All the Service that need it uses a dedicated user, so search has a dedicated user. Installation went well and we found no problem. We installed an SP1 MOSS from a ISO and after we upgraded WSS and MOSS to SP2. We installed the Italian language pack too and patched it to SP2. We created a new SSP. We created a web application and created a root website under it. The problem is that we can't male crawling work in any way. Seems that crawling is not able to reach the web application that we want to crawl. In event viewer of the index we have this error when we try to crawl it: The start address <h..p://name.domain.it:81 cannot be crawled. Context: Application 'SSP1', Catalog 'Portal_Content' Details: The object was not found. (0x80041201) The log of crawling from the search admin, only says: h..p://name.domani.it:81 The object was not found. (The item was deleted because it was either not found or the crawler was denied access to it.) The domain is fully accessible from everywhere using both farm admin user or the search user that we are using for service to run. Site is fully accessible from the index and seem not have problem. Inside the we application we created a root site collection with a couple of file. The log of the farm simply says.... nothing! When we ask to do a full crawl of the site, it runs for a second and after we have the errors that I wrote above. But the farm's log says nothing. Any suggestion or help is really appreciated since we are losing a lot of time on it and really we do not have any idea of what's wrong about this farm.

    Dears, I am now making some RESTful web service with MySQL database. I used NetBeans to create the resources of RESTful service with MySQL, and now I can now using GET and POST/PUT to list and add/modify data entities in the MySQL server. Currently, I wish to make some calculations right after a client makes the POST activities, then the posted data with calculated results will be inserted into the MySQL database. I am very new to this, I guess I need to add some functions and call them to calculate but I don't know where and how to do that : ( Could any one help me on this issue?   • How do I test controllers and views?

    I'm using rails for the first time, and I love how test-oriented it is and how it encourages you to write tests. I'm just having a hard time figuring out what I should be testing when I test controllers and views. I know that you should test redirects and authorization in the controller tests, but what else? And what should go in view tests? If I'm "following the rules" and only putting loops, conditionals, and echoes in my views, then what is there left to test?

  • Can I set up OpenVPN on two or more machines so that they can each act as client and server?

    The question summarises what I want to achieve. In more detail: I have a Windows XP Pro PC at a work location that I want to be able to access my home Windows XP Pro PC and other home computers from. But I also want to be able to connect to the work PC from home. I think the term generally used is a "mesh" network. Can I do this with OpenVPN ? If so how would I do it? What are the most important things to remember to do? EDIT: The work Windows XP Pro PC is largely managed by IT Dept, I do have local admin rights to install things. Some settings are disabled. My main concern was firewalls and port forwarding on the work PC. Any suggestions?
