I've tried to remove it completely but the xsl document doesn't work for me! I need to to so because the problem is : I am using some XSLT document that uses the above file, say document a. So I have document a that includes the above file (document b). I am using doc a from java code, I am do Caching for doc a as a javax.xml.transform.Templates object to prevent multiple reads to the xsl file on every transformation request. I found that, the doc b is re-calling itself from the harddisk, I believe this is because of the document('') function above, so I wanna replace/remove it. Thanks.

  • Making commercial Java software

    Hi. I intend to make some software to be sold over internet. I've only created open-source before, so I have really no idea of how to protect it from being cracked and distributed as warez. Bearing in mind that I know like two programms that aren't either cracked or not really useful I decided that the only more or less reliable way may look like this: Connect to a server and provide licensing info and some sort of hardware summary info If everything is fine, the server returns some crucial missing parts of the program bound to that certain pc along with the usage limit of say 2 days That crucial stuff is not saved to hard drive, so it is downloaded every time the program starts, if the programm runs more than 2 days, data is downloaded again If the same info is used from different computers, suspend the customer account What do you think about this? It may seem a bit to restrictive, but I'd better make less sales at first then eventually see my precious killer app downloaded for free. Anyways, first I need some basic theory/tutorials/guides about how to ensure that user only uses a certain Java app if he has paid for it, so please suggest some. Thanks

  • how to share a variable between two threads

    I just inherited some code, two threads within this code need to perform a system task. One thread should do the system task before the other thread. They should not be performing the system task together. The two threads do not have references to each other. Now, I know I can use some sort of a semaphore to achieve this. But my question is what is the right way to get both threads to access this semaphore. I could create a static variable/method a new class : public class SharedSemaphore { private static Semaphore s = new Semaphore (1, true); public static void performSystemTask () { s.acquire(); } public static void donePerformingSystemTask() { s.release(); } } This would work (right?) but this doesn't seem like the right thing to do. Because, the threads now have access to a semaphore, without ever having a reference to it. This sort of thing doesn't seem like a good programming practice. Am I wrong?

  • WebMethod Return xml

    I keep reading how everyone states to return XmlDocument when you want to return XML. Is there a way to return raw XML as a string? I have used many web services (written by others) that return string and the string contains XML. If you return XmlDocument how is that method consumed by users that are not on .Net? What is the method to just return the raw XML as string without it having being wrapped with <string></string> Thanks!

  • Does a PHP library exist to work with PRC/.mobi files?

    I'm writing a WordPress plugin to create an eBook from a selected category in most major eBook formats. I would like to support MobiPocket since that's the format used by the Kindle but I'm not sure how to go about it. From what I've read .mobi files are actually Palm Resource Databases (PRC) but I haven't been able to find a PHP class to work with these. I thought about using exec along with KindleGen but that would be undesirable as it would complicate initial setup. I've also thought about hosting a web service somewhere and using XML-RPC to accomplish this but that also complicates things. My question is: is there a PHP class/library (PHP-only preferred) that can work with PRC or even better, a class that specialises in creating MobiPocket ebooks? (needs to be open source since I'm releasing under the GPL) I've tried searching but haven't been able to find anything.

  • SerializationException with custom GenericIdentiy?

    I'm trying to implement my own GenericIdentity implementation but keep receiving the following error when it attempts to load the views (I'm using asp.net MVC): System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException was unhandled by user code Message="Type is not resolved for member 'OpenIDExtendedIdentity,Training.Web, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'." Source="WebDev.WebHost" I've ended up with the following class: [Serializable] public class OpenIDExtendedIdentity : GenericIdentity { private string _nickName; private int _userId; public OpenIDExtendedIdentity(String name, string nickName, int userId) : base(name, "OpenID") { _nickName = nickName; _userId = userId; } public string NickName { get { return _nickName; } } public int UserID { get { return _userId; } } } In my Global.asax I read a cookie's serialized value into a memory stream and then use that to create my OpenIDExtendedIdentity object. I ended up with this attempt at a solution after countless tries of various sorts. It works correctly up until the point where it attempts to render the views. What I'm essentially attempting to achieve is the ability to do the following (While using the default Role manager from asp.net): User.Identity.UserID User.Identity.NickName ... etc. I've listed some of the sources I've read in my attempt to get this resolved.   • PHP SoapClient() function returning a single XML string

    I am having difficulty with the PHP SoapClient() function. The SOAP request is successful, but the response is returned as an object containing a single XML string with the key "any".     Hello, I'm attempting to write a script to generate SSH Identity key pairs for me. from M2Crypto import RSA key = RSA.gen_key(1024, 65337) key.save_key("/tmp/my.key", cipher=None) The file /tmp/my.key looks great now. By running ssh-keygen -y -f /tmp/my.key > /tmp/my.key.pub I can extract the public key. My question is how can I extract the public key from python? Using key.save_pub_key("/tmp/my.key.pub") saves something like: -----BEGIN PUBLIC KEY----- MFwwDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEBBQADASDASDASDASDBarYRsmMazM1hd7a+u3QeMP ...     OK, so admittedly, this is already a TIRED and HACKNEYED term, but it applies here, so please endure the following. If you would like it in green, then yes, "We have an app for that!" In the soon-to-be-introduced next release of Oracle CRM On Demand, organizations gain unprecedented flexibility in their ability to optimize the look and feel of the Oracle CRM On Demand user interface. So if you want it in green, you can have it in green. And on this topic, I must say...our product development team seems to be taking unabashed pleasure in displaying this new color flexibility. Their demos are increasingly displaying a color palette that would make Martha Stewart hurl. And when I offer any feedback in my typically "direct" manner, they respond with, "Well Diamond, we can't show red or blue now, can we? It would just look like...everything else!" Yeah....but....but...I'm wearing a white shirt today, just like the white shirt I wore yesterday. And my wife has a fondness for "Shabby Chic," which is an interior design style deploying mostly white backdrops. Therefore, I guess I'm not the best one to critique. In all seriousness, although we'll be profiling far meatier features in the next release of Oracle CRM On Demand, this is important for organizations that want to match the look and feel of their CRM application to their corporate branding standards.   • Passing Binary Data to a Stored Procedure in SQL Server 2008

    I'm trying to figure out a way to store files in a database. I know it's recommended to store files on the file system rather than the database, but the job I'm working on would highly prefer using the database to store these images (files). There are also some constraints. I'm not an admin user, and I have to make stored procedures to execute all the commands. This hasn't been of much difficulty so far, but I cannot for the life of me establish a way to store a file (image) in the database. When I try to use the BULK command, I get an error saying "You do not have permission to use the bulk load statement." The bulk utility seemed like the easy way to upload files to the database, but without permissions I have to figure a work-a-round. I decided to use an HTML form with a file upload input type and handle it with PHP. The PHP calls the stored procedure and passes in the contents of the file. The problem is that now it's saying that the max length of a parameter can only be 128 characters. Now I'm completely stuck. I don't have permissions to use the bulk command and it appears that the max length of a parameter that I can pass to the SP is 128 characters. I expected to run into problems because binary characters and ascii characters don't mix well together, but I'm at a dead end... Thanks

  • How to export SQL Server 2005 query to CSV

    I want to export some SQL Server 2005 data to CSV format (comma-separated with quotes). I can think of a lot of complicated ways to do it, but I want to do it the right way. I've looked at bcp, but I can't figure out how to put the quotes around the fields (except concatenating them to the field values, which is ugly). I guess I could do it with sqlcmd and -o, but that seems ugly for the same reason. Is there a bcp way to do it? Is there a reasonable sqlcmd way to do it? Is there some great, simple utility built into the Management Studio that I'm just overlooking?

  • Lightweight open source CMS - current situation

    Hello, It happened that I need to pick up PHP based open source CMS. I did a small research and found many candidates. CMS made simple seems to be right choice, but I am not sure what's the current state, I know it was widely used time ago. I need it to be fully compliant with web standarts, lightweight (especially interface). It needs to be as simple as possible - basically just style and page content editing (news, maybe some image gallery) is enough. Sure content and style have to be separated from each other since content will be edited by non-programmer. One of the main goals is SEO so I'd like it to have friendly URLs. I think CMSes like Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress are too big for this project. Are there any recommendations ?

  • Adding view to UIScrollView and toggling scrolling/interacting

    Hi all! I have a UIScrollView in my project. I have a view controller I would like to add as a child of the UIScrollview. Would I just do that like this: [scrollView addSubview:theViewController.view]; or is there a better way? (theView is a view, not the TV show) Furthermore, I would like to be able to use a UIButton in scrollView's parent view controller to toggle whether or not the user is scrolling with scrollView and NOT interacting with theView or NOT scrolling with scrollview and interacting with theView. Should I just have that set the property: scrollView.userInteractionEnabled = NO; or would that disable interaction with theView because it's a child? Thanks for your help!

  • Trying to parse xml, but xmldocument.loadxml() is trying to download?

    I have a string input that i do not know whether or not is valid xml. I think the simplest aprroach is to wrap new XmlDocument().LoadXml(strINPUT); In a try/catch. The problem im facing is, sometimes strINPUT is an html file, if the header of this file contains <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC ""-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"" ""http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd""> <html xml:lang=""en-GB"" xmlns=""http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"" lang=""en-GB""> ...like many do, it actually tries to make a connection to the w3.org url, which i really dont want it doing. Anyone know if its possible to just parse the string without trying to be clever and checking external urls? Failing that is there an alternative to xmldocument?

  • Is possible to make mt.exe embed manifest files correctly in Visual Studio 2008?

    I found that mt.exe fails to correctly create and embed manifest files into executables when run inside a VCPROJ. For example the same executable load well on Windows 7 but failed to load on Windows XP. The manifest was embedded and correct. After I spend lots of hours searching for possible reasons and solution I modified the project settings to generate the manifest outside the exe file. Now it works on both systems. Here are the examples for debug builds.     I have struct as: struct stored { char *dates; // 12/May/2010, 10/Jun/2010 etc.. int ctr; }; // const struct stored structs[] = {{"12/May/2010", 1}, {"12/May/2011", 1}, {"21/May/2009", 4}, {"12/May/2011", 3}, {"10/May/2011", 8}, {"12/May/2011", 4 }}; What I want to do is to sort struct 'stored' by stored.dates. qsort(structs, 9, sizeof(struct stored*), sortdates); // sortdates function I'm not quite sure what would be a good way to sort those days? Compare them as c-strings?

  • Is it possible to convert a 40-character SHA1 hash to a 20-character SHA1 hash?

    My problem is a bit hairy, and I may be asking the wrong questions, so please bear with me... I have a legacy MySQL database which stores the user passwords & salts for a membership system. Both of these values have been hashed using the Ruby framework - roughly like this: hashedsalt = Digest::SHA1.hexdigest("--#{Time.now.to_s}--#{login}--") hashedpassword = Digest::SHA1.hexdigest("#{hashedsalt}:#{password}") So both values are stored as 40-character strings (varchar(40)) in MySQL. Now I need to import all of these users into the ASP.NET membership framework for a new web site, which uses a SQL Server database. It is my understanding that the the way I have ASP.NET membership configured, the user passwords and salts are also stored in the membership database (in table aspnet_Membership) as SHA1 hashes, which are then Base64 encoded (see here for details) and stored as nvarchar(128) data. But from the length of the Base64 encoded strings that are stored (28 characters) it seems that the SHA1 hashes that ASP.NET membership generates are only 20 characters long, rather than 40. From some other reading I have been doing I am thinking this has to do with the number of bits per character/character set/encoding or something related. So is there some way to convert the 40-character SHA1 hashes to 20-character hashes which I can then transfer to the new ASP.NET membership data table? I'm pretty familiar with ASP.NET membership by now but I feel like I'm just missing this one piece. However, it may also be known that SHA1 in Ruby and SHA1 in .NET are incompatible, so I'm fighting a losing battle... Thanks in advance for any insight.
