  • Strange(?) Opera Floating

    I have some strange floating behaviour on opera (IE f's up completely different, but that's for later). I'm floating the i-icons to the right. It works nicely on Fx and WebKit, but opera shifts the icons down a bit. Anyone got an idea how this happenes?     What is the difference to use {text-decoration:underline} and {border-bottom:...}? which is easy to style and cross browser compatible? when we should use border-bottom over text-decoration:underline? Would it be good to use border-bottom always in place of text-decoration:underline?

  • Problem reading from 3 tables in mysql

    What do I do, I need to fetch data from 3 tables in mysql, here is my current query. All of the tables contain the IDNO which has 03A45 number. But this query isnt returning any results: SELECT * FROM father, mother, parents WHERE father.IDNO=mother.IDNO=parents.IDNO AND mother.IDNO='03A45' AND father.IDNO='03A45' AND parents.IDNO='03A45' What would be the correct query for this? All of the tables have the IDNO as primary key.

  • Which java web technology to learn to develop Rich Internet Applications ?

    Hi, I have developed web applications using JSF (myfaces components). But in these days of responsive UI, JSF doesnt fare well. I m hearing a lot about AJAX, GWT, etc. So i wanted your opinion on which web technology/framework should i learn inorder to develop web applications for enterprise products. Some of the web technologies that i m hearing are: ICE Faces (With AJAX Bridge support) GWT extJS and extGWT JavaFX Apache Wicket Jquery AJAX Open laszlo Which of the above or the combination of the above would help me ? Some of the parameters on which you can rate these web technologies are: Ease of learning Maintainability of web application code Community support IDE support - Eclipse or NetBeans Off the shelf component availability (like textbox,table grids, option menus) License - Does it cost for commercial use ? User Experience - responsive UI. Shouldnt be sluggish A similar question on SO does answer my question partially. Would want more info though. EDIT: Answers collated: Based on the answers : AJAX would be the best thing to start for learning fundamentals, then learn JQUERY. Any component based frame work that can complement ajax,jquery ? Edit 2: If i had to design a web application like StackOverFlow (in java platform) which would be the best choice to learn and adopt? Wicket + Jquery, WiQuery GWT Some XYZ Faces technology(RichFaces/ICEFaces) + AJAX. Comments appreciated from some one who has worked with them and can rate them in the above mentioned parameters.

  • Android Bind Spinner to Class

    I'm having some trouble with the Spinner widget. Given the following code: ArrayList<Person> people= new ArrayList<Person>(); Person = null; for(int i = 0; i!= 10; i++) { p = new Person(); s.setID(i); s.setName("Name " + i); people.add(s); } I'm using the following code to bind it to a Spinner: Spinner spinner1 = (Spinner) findViewById (R.id.spinner); ArrayAdapter<Person> adapter = new ArrayAdapter<Person>(this, android.R.layout.simple_spinner_item, people); spinner1.setAdapter(adapter); What I would like is for the value (id) to be hidden but passed when selected, and the name to appear. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • SSLsample in NSS

    Since the latest version of NSS does not provide the SSLSample program, I copied the folder SSLSample from the older version of NSS (3.9, 3.12) to the /security/nss/cmd folder inside nss-3.12.4 . When I run make nss_build_all in my 3.12.4, the other programs generated its own binary but not my SSLSample folder. I would like to know why?
