  • jQuery Drag and Drop Checking Question

    i am new to using jQuery and I just want to know how I can check whether a draggable object has been removed from the droppable object. Example, i have a dog and I dragged it to a doghouse which has a lightbulb that will light up indicating that the dog is there. When i drag the dog out of the doghouse, the lightbulb should go off again indicating the dog's absence. Help me please coz I really don't have any idea how to do this. Thanks in advance. :)

For selecting a specific text on html page.   • Which Perl moudle can handle variety of date formats with unicode characters ?

    My requirement is parsing xml files which contains wide varieties of timestamps based on the locales at which they are written. They may contain Unicode characters in case of Chinese or Korean locales. I have to parse these timestamps and put then in a standard format something like 2009-11-26 12:40:54 to put them in a oracle database. Sometimes I may not even know the locale and yet I have to parse the timestamps. I am looking for a module that automatically detects the timestamp format (including unicode characters for am and pm in their local language) and converts in to epoch time so that I can convert it back to what ever way I like to. I have gone through similar questions in this forum. Few suggested DateFormat module, and Date::Parse module. The perl distribution I am using is 5.10 so Date::Manip doesn't come as a core module. As I am supposed to use just the basic core modules and few CPAN modules(on request I cannot ask for all), I request you to kindly suggest me a good module that suffices all my requirements.   • How to Inserting message into View that depends on session value. ASP.NET MVC. Best practice

    User have to populate multistep questionnaire web-forms and step messages depend on the option chosen by user at the very beginning. Messages are stored in web.config file. I use asp.net mvc project, strong typed views and keep business logic separated from controller in static class. I don't want to make business logic dependency on web.config. Well, I have to insert message into view that depends on session value. There are at least 2 options how to implement this: View model has property that is populated in controller/businessLogic and rendered in view like <%: Model.HelpMessage1 %>. I have to pass web.config values from controller to businessLogic that makes business logic methods signature too complex. I don't want to make configuration source abstract (in order to let business logic read configuration values from its methods directly) also. Create static helper class that is called from view like <%: ViewHelper.HelpMessage1(Model.Option1) %>. But in this case logic what to show seems to be separated into two classes: business logic & viewHelper. What will you suggest? Thank you in advance!

  • Casting a Calculated Column in a MySQL view.

    I have a view that contains a calculated column. Is there are a way to cast it as a CHAR or VARCHAR rather than a VARBINARY ? Obviously, I have tried using CAST(... as CHAR) but it gives an error. Here is a simple replicable example.   • MXMLC and 64bit JRE

    Are there any workarounds to get the Flex compiler to work with a 64bit JRE? If I use an MXMLC task in an Ant buildfile in Eclipse it works fine but if I try to use MXMLC from the command line (or try the Run... command from FDT in Eclipse) it fails, telling me ... "Error loading: C:\Program Files\Java\jrrt-1.6.0\jre\bin\jrockit\jvm.dll" (this is with a 64bit JRockit runtime but that shouldn't matter).

    N00b here, having problems escaping strings. I used the QuotedStr() function - shouldn't that be enough. Unfortunately, the string that I am trying to quote is rather messy, but I will post it here in case anyone wants to paste it into WinMerge or KDiff3, etc. I am trying to store an entire Delphi form into the database, rather than into a .DFM file. It has only one field, a TEdit edit box. What am I doing that is obviously, glaringly wrong?

    Does psycopg2 have a function for escaping the value of a LIKE operand for Postgres? For example I may want to match strings that start with the string "20% of all", so I want to write something like this: sql = '... WHERE ... LIKE %(myvalue)s' cursor.fetchall(sql, { 'myvalue': escape_sql_like('20% of all') + '%' } Is there an existing escape_sql_like function that I could plug in here? (Similar question to How to quote a string value explicitly (Python DB API/Psycopg2), but I couldn't find an answer there.)

    Is it posibble to select 3 tables at a time in 1 database? Table 1: employee -- employee_id -- first_name -- last_name -- middle_name -- birthdate -- address -- gender -- image -- salary Table 2: logs -- log_id -- full_name -- employee_id -- date -- time -- status Table 2: logout -- log_id -- full_name -- employee_id -- date -- time -- status I wanted to get the value of employee table where $id of selected. Then the $id also get the value of log.time, log.date, logout.time, and logout.date. I already try using UNION but nothing happens.
