• How to properly close a process with NppExec?

  I'm not sure what's going on here, but the following code continues running even after I end the process in the NppExec console with Ctrl-C (during the execution of the while loop). I restarted my computer to stop the Ctrl key sends. However, if I run the script in Window's cmd prompt, Ctrl-C ends the script just fine. import time import win32com.client shell = win32com.client.Dispatch("WScript.Shell") time.sleep(2) while True: shell.SendKeys('^') # Ctrl key time.sleep(0.5) The NppExec run command I used was: cmd /C python -u "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" Let me know if there is any more information I can provide. • iOS: FilterUsingPredicate on custom objects

  I have a custom class extending NSObject. I am maintaining NSMutableArray of this class objects. Here is the situation, customObject { NSString *name; int ID; .....and many other properties; } customObjectsArray { customObject1, customObject2, ...etc } Now I am trying to use filterUsingPredicate to remove objects that has nil names, like below but it returns very few or none objects while I know that there are hundreds of objects that has name not nil or empty. • use a sprite png in li-class and display in div

  hello i have some problem with displaying a sprite in a div that is in a li-class. so the structure is: <li id="aa"> <div><a href="#">one</a></div> </li> and the css: li{ width: 120px; height: 18px; margin-top: 5px; } li div{ width: 20px; height: 10px; background-image:url(../images/sprite.png) background-repeat: no-repeat; margin-left: 0px; font-weight:bolder; border: 1px solid #fff; } when i use this i can see the sprite even outside the div. so i tried adding to li background-image: none; that makes the image in the div not visible too. so if there is someone who know about that i really would appreciate. thanks alot.

• Software buttons in the android 4.2 emulator not showing up (tablet)

  I'm getting crazy right now. I just installed the latest android adt bundle from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. It's version v21.0.0. Now I wanted to test my tablet app (designed for 10.1" xlarge mdpi) in the emulator, but I cannot get any software buttons for home/back/... Here's my device configuration. This config is afterwards assigned to the avd. http://i.stack.imgur.com/Q7xvP.png Hardware-buttons don't work as well (you cannot set hardware buttons in a tablet-like emulator). The target api is level 15 (android 4.0.3). I searched stackoverflow, but didn't find any help concerning the latest version of android. • Trouble Getting a Locally Hosted Copy of the English Language Wiktionary to include the Translations Sections

  I used MWDumper - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Mwdumper - to import the xml dump of the English Language Wiktionary (specifically the file named enwiktionary-20120930-pages-meta-current.xml,) to my local server. I have found that under the Translations section (on each page for each English word,) next to the name of each language where I should be able to see the definition in a foreign language, I instead see Template:Tø, Template:T+, or Template:T- and I am not sure why this is. As an experiment, I also used WikiTaxi - http://www.yunqa.de/delphi/doku.php/products/wikitaxi/index - with the exact same XML dump and did not have this problem when viewing under WikiTaxi.exe. I have been searching through mediawiki.org looking for the answer, but have so far not been successful. I appreciate your help

• Create a link to delete membership in web2py

  I'm trying to do something really simple but it's taking me ages to figure out how to do it properly. I want to have a button that simply deletes a member from a group. So in my view I have <div id="del-role">{{=A('Delete Role',_class="btn btn-danger", callback=URL('test'),delete='#del-role')}}</div> However, when I click the button, the only thing I get is a Javascript prompt asking whether I'm sure I want to delete the specified object, yes/no. That's fine but, what I'd really like to do is just auth.del_membership('role') What needs to go in my controller? I do not want any page redirection, I just want to auth.del_membership(role) This seemingly simple thing is taking me forever to understand. Thanks!

• Given a few strings, how many strings can be lexicographically least by modifying the alphabet?

  Number of strings can be huge as in 30000. Given N strings, output which ones can be lexicographically least after modifying the english alphabet. e.g. acdbe...... for example if the strings were: omm moo mom ommnom "mom" is already lexicographically least with the original english alphabet. we can make the word "omm" least by switching "m" and "o" in the alphabet ("abcdefghijklonmpqrstuvwxyz"). the other ones you cant make lexicographically last, no matter what you do. any fast way to do this? I have no ways to approach this except try every single possible alphabet

• How to redirect to a page using a button tag in html?

The problem is...if I use the normal sintax , the button works fine, but If I apply some css to id by ussing # and .(classes) ,the button it`s not working any more ?! • mysql - check if data exists across multiple tables

  I am currently running this query inside MySQL to check if the specified values exists within the table associated with them. SELECT COUNT(artist.artist_id), COUNT(album.album_id), COUNT(tracks.track_id) FROM artist, album, tracks WHERE artist.artist_id = 320295 OR album.album_id = 1234 OR tracks.track_id = 809 The result I get from running this query is all 1, meaning that all the statements after the WHERE clause is true. To further check the query's reliability, I changed the tracks.track_ = 809 to 802, which I know does not match. However the results displayed are still all 1, meaning that they were all successfully matched even when I purposefully inserted a value which would not have matched. How do I get it to show 1 for a match and 0 for no matches within the same query? EDIT: I have inserted an image of the query running

• Possible conflict with jquery libraries

  http://www.pro-marketing-invest.de/golz-racing/reservierungen I made a wp plugin which makes online reservations for rent a car but I tested it locally with a different wp theme and it worked fine! but when I installed it in this web site for some reason the jquery functions dont work! when I press the fortsetzen button it wont open the other step (its a form with 4 steps). I think it is because of the other jquery functions or libraries that the theme uses, I am frustrated I dont know what is causing this! Any ideas?

  I would like to display a list of persons (coded in POJOS, and containing a name and surname property) using a JavaFX ListView control. I created the ListView and added the list of persons as an ObservableList. Everything works fine if I delete or add a new person to the ObservableList, but changes in the POJO do not trigger an update of the ListView. I have to remove and add the modified POJO from the ObservableList to trigger the update of the ListView. Is there any possibility to display changes in POJOS without the workaround described above?

• C Programing - Return libcurl http response to string to the calling function

  I have a homework and i need somehow to compare two http responses. I am writing it on C (dumb decision) and i use libcurl to make things easier. I am calling the function that uses libcurl to http request and response from another function and i want to return the http response to it. • Javascript Getting specific element (of parent) by name

  I'm using custom tags to define sections in an application, so I have something like this: <mysection> <form> <input name="myfield"> </form> </mysection> I'm using the following and able to get the tag (printed to console, everything is groovy) var parent = document.getElementsByTagName('mysection'); The issue I'm having is finding the child field by name: var myfield = parent.getElementsByName("myfield"); ...as I don't want to pick up on any other 'sections' that might have an input with the name 'myfield'. EDIT: var parent = document.getElementsByTagName('mysection')[0]; was suggested and returns to console the section contents, however, getElementsByName throws an error: Uncaught TypeError: Object #<NodeList> has no method 'getElementsByName'

• sys.path() and PYTHONPATH issues

  I've been learning Python, I'm working in 2.7.3, and I'm trying to understand import statements. The documentation says that when you attempt to import a module, the interpreter will first search for one of the built-in modules. What is meant by a built-in module? Then, the documentation says that the interpreter searches in the directories listed by sys.path, and that sys.path is initialized from these sources: the directory containing the input script (or the current directory). PYTHONPATH (a list of directory names, with the same syntax as the shell variable PATH). the installation-dependent default. Here is a sample output of a sys.path command from my computer using python in command-line mode: (I deleted a few so that it wouldn't be huge) ['', '/usr/lib/python2.7', '/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-old', '/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload', '/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages', '/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages', '/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/PIL', '/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gst-0.10', '/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gtk-2.0', '/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.7', '/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/ubuntuone-couch', '/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/ubuntuone-storage-protocol'] Now, I'm assuming that the '' path refers to the directory containing the 'script', and so I figured the rest of them would be coming from my PYTHONPATH environmental variable. However, when I go to the terminal and type env, PYTHONPATH doesn't exist as an environmental variable. I also tried import os then os.environ, but I get the same output. Do I really not have a PYTHONPATH environmental variable? I don't believe I ever specifically defined a PYTHONPATH environmental variable, but I assumed that when I installed new packages they automatically altered that environment variable. If I don't have a PYTHONPATH, how is my sys.path getting populated? If I download new packages, how does Python know where to look for them if I don't have this PYTHONPATH variable? How do environment variables work? From what I understand, environment variables are specific to the process for which they are set, however, if I open multiple terminal windows and run env, they all display a number of identical variables, for example, PATH. I know there file locations for persistent environment variables, for example /etc/environment, which contains my PATH variable. Is it possible to tell where a persistent environment variable is stored? What is the recommended location for storing new persistent environment variables? How do environment variables actually work with say, the Python interpreter? The Python interpreter looks for PYTHONPATH, but how does it work at the nitty-gritty level?

  I've used hierarachyviewer earlier, but on android emulator. It works absolutely fine when I use it on the emulator. However it does not work with Samsung Galaxy TAB 7.0, with Android 2.3.4. Trust domain seems to be ok: Trusted domains list: ES01 S-1-5-21-1816646249-803782145-3669927669 Trusting domains list: ES01 S-1-5-21-1816646249-803782145-3669927669 I can login AD domain workstation with a Samba user account and access to AD domain workstation shares from Samba workstation with Samba user account. • Can't log in via SSH to any accounts set to use /bin/bash as a default shell

  I'm trying to install bash as the default shell on a ARM Linux running on an embedded device (Synology DS212+ NAS). But there's something really wrong, and I can't figure out what it is. Symptoms: 1) Root has /bin/bash as default shell, and can log in normally via SSH: $ grep root /etc/passwd root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash $ ssh root@NAS root@NAS's password: Last login: Sun Dec 16 14:06:56 2012 from desktop # 2) joeuser has /bin/bash as default shell, and receives "Permission denied" when trying to log in via SSH: $ grep joeuser /etc/passwd joeuser:x:1029:100:Joe User:/home/joeuser:/bin/bash $ ssh joeuser@localhost joeuser@NAS's password: Last login: Sun Dec 16 14:07:22 2012 from desktop Permission denied, please try again. Connection to localhost closed. 3) changing joeuser's shell back to /bin/sh: $ grep joeuser /etc/passwd joeuser:x:1029:100:Joe User:/home/joeuser:/bin/sh $ ssh joeuser@localhost Last login: Sun Dec 16 15:50:52 2012 from localhost $ To make things even more strange, I can log in as joeuser using /bin/bash using the serial console (!). Also a su - joeuser as root works fine, so the bash binary itself is working fine. In an act of despair, I changed joeuser's uid to 0 on /etc/passwd, but also didn't work, so it doesn't seem to be anything permission related. Seems that bash is doing some extra checking that sshd didn't like, and blocking the connections for non-root users. Maybe some sort of sanity checking - or terminal emulation - that is triggering the SIGCHLD, but only when called via ssh. I already went through every single item on sshd_config, and also put SSHD in debug mode, but didn't find anything strange. I also tried using a pre-compiled binary from the Optware distribution, but had the exact same problem. I checked for missing shared libraries using objdump -x, but they're all there. Any ideas what could be causing this "Permission denied, please try again."? I'm almost diving in the bash source code to investigate, but trying to avoid hours chasing something that may be silly.
