  • Windows Media Player on top other DIV

    I have an embed window media player which is always on top of other DIV tags. I used wmode = opaque; WindowlessVideo = -1 but it does not help.   • WPF DataTemplates with VS2010 designer support + reusable - would you do it that way?

    Ok, I am currently tidying up all my old stuff. I ran into the issue of "code only DataTemplates" - which are really a pain in the ass. You can't see anything, they are really hard to design, and I want to improve my project. So I had the idea to use the following solution. The main benefits are: You have designer support for your data template You can easily include example sample data The file naming is consistent and easy to remember The preview does not require an additional XAML wrapper (even with code only controls) I will try to explain and illustrate my solution using a few pictures. I am interested in feedback, especially if you can imagine a better way to do it. And, of course, if you see any maintenance or performance issues. Ok, lets start with a simple PreviewObject. I want to have some data in it, so I create a subclass which will automatically fill in some dummy data. Then I add a list to the control, and name this list. Afterwards I add a DataTemplate, this is the sole reason for the whole control (to be able to see and edit the DataTemplate in place): Now I use this control to get my DataTemplate, to use it in other places. To make this easier, I added some code in the code behind, see here: Now I want a control to show me a list of PreviewItems, so I created a "code-only" control which creates an instance of my service (or gets one using DI in real world) and fills its list box with it: To view the result of this work, I added this control inside the same named XAML, this is basically only to be able to see the final result: What I do not like in this solution: The need to create the last control in "code only". So I tried something different while writing this post. The following two screenshots illustrate the approach. I am creating an instance of the service inside the DataContext, and I am using bindings to supply the Itemssourc and the ItemTemplate. The reason for the strange "static property" is refactoring support. If I hardcode the path in the designer (e.g. using "Path = PreviewHistory") and I refactor the names (which happens quite often, early design phase) - I screw up my controls without realizing it. Does anyone has a better idea for this? I am using Resharper, btw. Thanks for any input, and sorry for the image overkill. Just easier to explain that way.. Chris

  • Has Windows 7 Fixed the 255 Character File Path Limit?

    As I understand it, the limitation of 255 characters in a file path is a Windows limitation. What is the reasoning for this? If so, has this been resolved in Windows 7? In our continuous integration practices, we often have deeply nested project structures and it would be extremely useful to be able to go beyond 255 characters. Right now we are somewhat forced to structure our projects in such a way as to not hit this artificial ceiling.

  • Select most recent records using LINQ to Entities

    I have a simple Linq to Enities table to query and get the most recent records using Date field So I tried this code: IQueryable<Alert> alerts = GetAlerts(); IQueryable latestAlerts = from a in alerts group a by a.UpdateDateTime into g select g.OrderBy(a = a.Identifier).First(); Error: NotSupportedException: The method 'GroupBy' is not supported. Is there any other way to get do it? Thanks a lot!

  • Trace large C++ code base?

    Problem: I have just inherited this 200K LOC source code base. There's only a small part of it I need (and I want to rip all else out). What I would like to do is to be able to: 1) run the program a few times 2) have something (here's where you come in) record which lines of code gets executed 3) then rip out all the irrelevant lines of code I realize this has "problems" in the forms of "different args will take different paths"; but for my needs, it's very specific, and I just want something ot get me started on the right line of for ripping stuff out (I'll fine tune those special cases later).   • Listener to prevent System.out display on the screen.

    Hi, I was doing my academic project and while building and testing i have put many println() statements. But when I had to submit all prints should not be displayed. Can i implement something like listener which will be invoked when System.out is tried to be executed and prevents it from displaying. I dont know how feasible this idea is but just want to know whether its possible or not. I know i could have used a log file or write into a file but again its just a thought came into my mind if I have to disable SOP how can i do it .. thanks

    Hi I got one assignment on Dynamic CRM 4. We have one custome entity and it has one attribute called 'Issue Number' this attributes value generated by Plug-in when it save. When form will created meaning onLoad it will display blank value(text box is empty). But now we want to check that number is existing then concate with some random number. For that I wrote following javascript. if((event.Mode == 1) || (event.Mode == 2) ) { var varIssueNumber = crmForm.all.new_issueNumber.DataValue; alert(varIssueNumber); } but it is giving 'null'. Can anybody please let me know how can I get the value of text field? thanks in advance

  • Flattening out a lib directory using jarjar

    I'm trying to flatten out the lib directory of a project using jarjar, where it will produce a jar file with my main code and all my required libraries inside of it. I can get the project code into the jar, but I need to find a way to get every jar in the './lib/' directory extracted to the base directory of the final output jar. I don't want it flattened in the sense that I still want the package hiearchy preserved. I could manually list every jar file using zipfileset, but I was hoping to do it dynamically. I would also like to include any *.so files flattened into the base directory of the output jar so I can extract them into a temp dir easily without having to search through the jar. For example my lib directory... ./lib/library1.jar ./lib/library2.jar ./lib/foo/library3.jar ./lib/foo/bar.so would look like this when cracked open in the output jar file... /..library1_package_hierarchy../lib1.class /..library1_package_heirarchy../lib2.class ... (and so on) /..library2_package_hierarchy../lib1.class /..library2_package_heirarchy../lib2.class ... (and so on) /..library3_package_hierarchy../lib1.class <-- foo gone /..library3_package_heirarchy../lib2.class <-- foo gone /bar.so <-- foo gone

    I'm trying to come up with a regex that constructs an array that looks like the one below, from the following string $str = 'Hello world [something here]{optional}{optional}{optional}{n possibilities of this}'; So far I have /^(\*{0,3})(.+)\[(.*)\]((?:{[a-z ]+})?)$/ Array ( [0] => Array ( [0] => Hello world [something here]{optional}{optional}{optional}{n possibilities of this} [1] => [2] => Hello world [3] => something here [4] => {optional} [5] => {optional} [6] => {optional} [7] => ...     Ok, its been a while since I've done any file input or string manipulation but what I'm attempting to do is as follows while(infile >> word) { for(int i = 0; i < word.length(); i++) { if(word[i] == '\n') { cout << "Found a new line" << endl; lineNumber++; } if(!isalpha(word[i])) { word.erase(i); } if(islower(word[i])) word[i] = toupper(word[i]); } } Now I assume this is not working because skips the new line character?? If so, whats a better way to do this.

  • Authentication Error in C# Send Mail App

    I'm developing a simple send mail app in C#, using my CMail Server: MailMessage mail = new MailMessage("[email protected]", "[email protected]"); mail.Subject = "Sub"; mail.Body = "Hi!"; SmtpClient smtp = new SmtpClient("MyServer"); System.Net.NetworkCredential cred = new System.Net.NetworkCredential("user", "pass"); smtp.UseDefaultCredentials = false; smtp.Credentials = cred; smtp.Send(mail); Obviously i ommited my account information, so, this code throws me an Authentication Exception for some reason. I first thought that the code was wrong, so i change the info to my gmail account and everything goes fine, with the only SMTP server that i having trouble is with the CMail. Is there a problem with .NET and CMail's SMTP ? Thanks for the help and comments!

The issue I have if I go to delete a Database it wants to Delete the DatabaseUser also.. Is there a way to stop this from happening easily?

Years ago I used PuTTY, but I'm curious if there are any better options that I should consider for establishing that connection, and managing my server remotely.   • Why do some websites add "Slugs" to the end of URLs?

    Many websites, including this one, add what are apparently called slugs - descriptive but as far as I can tell useless bits of text - to the end of URLs. For example, the URL the site gives for this question is: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/47427/why-do-some-websites-add-slugs-to-the-end-of-urls But the following URL works just as well: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/47427/ Is the point of this text just to somehow make the URL more user friendly or are there some other benefits?
