  • Custom fine-grained claims based authorization system in ASP.NET MVC - wheres and hows

    So, I'd like to implement my own custom authorization system in MVC2. If I'd have to create a global class, where do I instantiate it? Can HttpContext be extended with my own additions and where do I do that? Should I use Authorization filters for rights validation or ActionFilters or do it within an action? Can ActionFilter pass any data to the action itself? Previously (in WebForms) I was using a Session object where I would put a serialized object containing essential user data (account id and a list of roles and rights) and I'd extend my own Page class.

  • Problem compiling bison & flex program under vc++

    I'm using bison & flex (downloaded via cygwin) with vc++. When I compile the program I got an error: ...: fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'unistd.h': No such file or directory The corresponding code in the flex-generated file is: #ifndef YY_NO_UNISTD_H /* Special case for "unistd.h", since it is non-ANSI.   • How do I use an Entity Framework 4 model without a real database?

    I don't need any data to be stored. I'd like an application to start, create an Entity Framework entities container based on the model I've designed but having no data records in it, then generate some data (from user input and other input sources), work with it and discard all the data on close, without propagating any data operations made with EF contect to a real database hosted on server or in a file. How do I implement such a pattern? I use Entity Framework 4 and Visual Studio 2010.

  • Vector deltas and moving in unknown areas

    Hi All, I was in need of a little math help that I can't seem to find the answer to, any links to documentation would be greatly appreciated. Heres my situation, I have no idea where I am in this maze, but I need to move around and find my way back to the start. I was thinking of implementing a waypoint list of places i've been offset from my start at 0,0. This is a 2D cartesian plane. I've been given 2 properties, my translation speed from 0-1 and my rotation speed from -1 to 1. -1 is very left and +1 is very right. These are speed and not angles so thats where my problem lies. If I'm given 0 as a translation speed and 0.2 I will continually turn to my right at a slow speed. How do I figure out the offsets given these 2 variables? I can store it every time I take a 'step'. I just need to figure out the offsets in x and y terms given the translations and rotation speeds. And the rotation to get to those points. Any help is appreciated.

  • Asp.net MVC/Silverlight and Sharepoint 2010 integration

    Just a sidenote: I'm not sure whether I should post this to serverfault as well, because some MOSS admin may have some info for me as well? Additional note 1: I've found this document (Asp.net MVC 2 & Sharepoint integration) if anybody with sufficient expirience is willing to comment on its content whether this can be used in my described scenario or not. Additional note 2: I've discovered (later) that Silverlight is supported in Sharepoint 2010 so I'm considering it as well. So if anyone would comment on silverlight integration as well. A bit of explanation first (without Asp.net MVC/Silverlight) Is it possible to integrate the two? Is it possible to write an application that would share at least credential information with MOSS? I have to write a MOSS application that has to do with these technologies: MOSS 2010 Personal client certificates authentication (most probably on USB keys) Active Directory Federation Services Separate SQL DB that would serve application specific data (separate as not being part of MOSS DB) How should it work? Users should authenticate using personal certificates into MOSS 2010 There would be a certain part of MOSS that would be related to my custom application This application should only authorize certain users via AD FS - I guess these users should have a certain security claim attached to them This application should manage users (that have access to this app) with additional (app specific) security claims related to this application (as additional application level authorization rights for individual application parts) This application should use custom SQL 2008 DB heavily with its own data This application should have the possibility to integrate with external systems as well (Exchange for instance to inject calendar entries, ERP systems etc) This application should be able to export its data (from its DB) to files. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be nice if the app could add these files to MOSS and attach authorization info to them so only users with sufficient rights would be able to view/open these files. Why Asp.net MVC/Silverlight then? I'm very well versed in Asp.net MVC (also with the latest version) and I haven't done anything on Sharepoint since version 2003 (which doesn't do me no good or prepare me for the latest version in any way shape or form). This project will most probably be a death march project so I would rather write my application as a UI rich Asp.net MVC application and somehow integrate it into MOSS. But not only via a link, because I would like to at least share credentials, so users wouldn't need to re-login when accessing my app. Using Asp.net MVC I would at least have the possibility to finish on time or be less death marching. Is this at all possible? I haven't done any serious project using SIlverlight, but I will sooner or later have to. So I'm also considering a jump into it at this moment, because it still might make this application development easier than strict Sharepoint 2010. Questions Is it possible to integrate Asp.net MVC/Silverlight into MOSS as described above? If integration is not possible, would it be possible to create a completely MOSS based application that would work as described? Which parts of MOSS 2010 should I use to accomplish what I need?

I have established an ssh tunnel to an intermediate server in the internet like this: remoteuser@behind_fw$ ssh -N -f -R 10002:localhost:22 middleuser@middle But I can't connect directly throgh this server, this doesn't work: user@local$ ssh remoteuser@middle -p 10002 I have to connect in two steps: user@local$ ssh middleuser@middle middleuser@middle$ ssh remoteuser@localhost -p 10002 Output of netstat -l on middle: tcp 0 0 localhost:10002 *:* LISTEN but it should be something like this: tcp 0 0 *:10002 *:* LISTEN how can I achieve this?

  • Seeking to a line in a file in g++

    Is there a way that I can seek to a certain line in a file to read or write data? Let's say I want to write some data starting on the 10th line in a text file. There might be some data already in the first few lines, or the file could even be empty. Is there a way I can seek directly to the line I want without having to worry about what's already in the file?

    Hello everybody! Today, I've started with Yahoo Query Language. I would use it to retrive stocks details, so I'm talking about Yahoo Finance. I think there is a bug on this language. This is my query: select * from yahoo.finance.quoteslist where symbol='@^GSPC' I ALWAYS get 51 results! it's impossible, take a look at: http://it.finance.yahoo.com/q/cp?s=^GSPC There are 500 results!     Hi. I have download and install KaZip2.0 on C++Builder2009 (with little minor changes = only set type String to AnsiString). I have write: KAZip1->FileName = "test.zip"; KAZip1->CreateZip("test.zip"); KAZip1->Active = true; KAZip1->Entries->AddFile("pack\\text.txt","xxx.txt"); KAZip1->Active = false; KAZip1->Close(); now he create a test.zip with included xxx.txt (59byte original, 21byte packed). I open the archiv in WinRAR successful and want open the xxx.txt, but WinRAR says file is corrupt. :( What is wrong? Can somebody help me? Extract not working, because file is corrupt?   • directory monitoring

    Hi, What is the best way for me to check for new files added to a directory, I dont think the filesystemwatcher would be suitable as this is not an always on service but a method that runs when my program starts up. there are over 20,000 files in the folder structure I am monitoring, at present I am checking each file individually to see if the filepath is in my database table, however this is taking around ten minutes and I would like to speed it up is possible, I can store the date the folder was last checked - is it easy to get all files with createddate last checked date. anyone got any Ideas? Thanks Mark

When I set the application in fullscreen (stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;) the display freezes and nothing is being rendered.     I have a table with many fields and additionally several boolean fields (ex: BField1, BField2, BField3 etc.). I need to make a Select Query, which will select all fields except for boolean ones, and a new virtual field (ex: FirstTrueBool) whose value will equal to the name of the first TRUE Boolean Field. For ex: Say I have BField1 = False, BField2 = True, BField3 = true, BField4=false, in that case SQL Query should set [FirstTrueBool] to "BField2". Is that possible? Thank you in advance. P.S. I use Microsoft Access (MDB) Database and Jet Engine.
