  • AutoMapper : Site wide usage of IValueFormatter for given types

    It is my understanding I can configure AutoMapper in the following way and during mapping it should format all source model dates to the rules defined in the IValueFormatter and set the result to the mapped model. ForSourceType<DateTime>().AddFormatter<StandardDateFormatter>(); ForSourceType<DateTime?>().AddFormatter<StandardDateFormatter>(); I get no effect for my mapped class with this. It only works when I do the following: Mapper.CreateMap<Member, MemberForm>().ForMember(x => x.DateOfBirth, y => y.AddFormatter<StandardDateFormatter>()); I am mapping DateTime? Member.DateOfBirth to string MemberForm.DateOfBirth. The formatter basically creates a short date string from the date. Is there something I am missing when setting the default formatter for a given type?   • LinkedList insert tied to inserted object

    I have code that looks like this: public class Polynomial { List<Term> term = new LinkedList<Term>(); and it seems that whenever I do something like term.add(anotherTerm), with anotherTerm being... another Term object, it seems anotherTerm is referencing the same thing as what I've just inserted into term so that whenever I try to change anotherTerm, term.get(2) (let's say) get's changed too. How can I prevent this from happening?

    I am able to get the list of network printers via this code: private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { foreach (String printer in PrinterSettings.InstalledPrinters) { listBox1.Items.Add(printer.ToString()); } } For each network printer, I want to extract out more information like: (a) get document information, like number of pages printed, filename, file-size, etc. (b) get computer IP address from which document was printed. (c) get username of who printed the document. How do I achieve the above? any code samples would be appreciated. Do I have to look into Windows Management Instrumentation(WMI) stuffs?

    I need to tutor my brother on a particular topic. We live in different geographical areas. We use g-talk to do the same. We do not have web-cam's to enable video chat. The tutoring will involve a lot of off-the-cuff illustrations. I am hence searching for a suitable software which will emulate a blackboard over an internet connection. I need the software to enable sharing of a common canvas on which I can draw, write and point to. Say a Microsoft paint canvas on internet. Could you point out a suitable software? Google is not of being help at the moment as I suspect that I am not specifying my search criteria properly.

    Hello everyone! I have a very poor internet connection when I'm living at home. The only time I have a good internet is at college. When I get home, the most mundane task like opening a web-page becomes a five minute stress-test. So what I was thinking was to download the web-page, for example superdickery. I was wondering what the best method would be to download the entire image archive of the page? Would this be illegal, if I did this? It's just that I don't want to be frustrated every time I just want to load a simple jpeg image.

It seems it mostly happens at low zoom levels, when the view is zoomed out a bit. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong here? I'd really don't want to turn anti-aliasing on since the lines are strictly horizontal and vertical, and I'd like them to be as crisp as possible. Any help is much appriciated, Regards, Elvis

  • Init modules in apache2

    Hello, I used to write apache modules in apache 1.3, but these days I am willing to pass to apache2. The module that I am writing at the moment has is own binary data, not a database, for performance purposes. I need to load this data in shared memory, so every child can access it without making his own copy, and it would be practical to load/create the binary data at startup, as I was used to do with apache 1.3. Problem is that I don't find an init event in apache2, in 1.3 in the module struct, immediatly after STANDARD_MODULE_STUFF you find a place for a /** module initializer */, in which you can put a function that will be executed early. Body of the function I used to write is something like: if ( getppid == 1 ) { // Load global data here // this is the parent process void* data = loadGlobalData( someFilePath ); setGlobalData( config, data ); } else { // this is the init of a child process // do nothing } I am looking for a place in apache2 in where I can put a similar function.     I have Silverlight application called MyApp. During startup MyApp loads MyApp.Main.xap module using the following code: WebClient wc = new WebClient(); wc.OpenReadCompleted += new OpenReadCompletedEventHandler(onMainModuleLoaded); Uri uri = new Uri("MyApp.Main.xap", UriKind.Relative); wc.OpenReadAsync(uri); It works. Within MyApp.Main I would like to load another xap file MyApp.Billing.xap, so I wrote like the same as above WebClient wc = new WebClient(); wc.OpenReadCompleted += new OpenReadCompletedEventHandler(onBillingModuleLoaded); Uri uri = new Uri("MyApp.Billing.xap", UriKind.Relative); wc.OpenReadAsync(uri); but it throws an error saying the file not found. MyApp.Billing.xap file is inside ClientBin folder and I can download it directly via absolute path in a browser. If I try to download MyApp.Billing.xap not from inside MyApp.Main, but from inside MyApp (instead of MyAPp.Main.xap) it also works fine. What might be the problem?

So far no Problem, but I didn't found a way to access one of it's functions, the best thing would be if I could access the main function in the mxml part of the swf. I don't want duplicate combinations, although I could live with them, eg in the above example I don't really need the combination [1,3,2] because it already present as [1,2,3]

  • Free internet radio station server software with remote broadcasting?

    I am in the process of creating an internet radio station, but the two djs I have for it are not able to be in one place. I need for them to be able to login to a web based broadcasting session that still has full functionality. They need to be able to broadcast thier live shows with talk and music. The music will be stroed on the server. I have checked out the Broadwave media streaming server from NCH, but ti does not have the ability to login as a dj from a remote computer. I don't have any money for this, so I need it to be free. If this is not possible, I need it to be cheap!

    I have a website that has a number of URLs that people use to connect to that site (uses the bindings on the IIS website and everything works as intended): http://www.sample.com http://sample.com https://www.sample.com http://xyz.sample.com http://oldurl.com Now what I want to do is have all of the URLs go to https://www.sample.com - so if you type in "http://xyz.sample.com" or "sample.com" you should go to https://www.sample.com The question is what is the best mechanism to do this? I have one possible solution (which I will put as an answer to this question), but I get the feeling that there might be another, better solution available.
