  • C#/.NET: TextBox is not 'focused' after a process was initiated

    Hi, I am having a problem after opening the notepad once I click the button "btnSearch". The idea is that once I clicked the button 'btnSearch', the textbox 'txtSearch' should be 'focused' even after a process was initiated/opened outside the main window.   • Why does GC not clear the Dialog references?

  • How to modify exiting XML file with XmlDocument and XmlNode in C#

    I already implemented to create the XML file below with XmlTextWriter when application initialization. And know I don't know how to update the childNode id value with XmlDocument & XmlNode. Is there some property to update the id value?   • I/O error(socket error): [Errno 111] Connection refused

    I have a program that uses urllib to periodically fetch a url, and I see intermittent errors like : I/O error(socket error): [Errno 111] Connection refused. It works 90% of the time, but the othe r10% it fails. If retry the fetch immediately after it fails, it succeeds. I'm unable to figure out why this is so. I tried to see if any ports are available, and they are. Any debugging ideas?   • How to Bind Data and manipulate it in a GridView with MVP

    I am new to the whole MVP thing and slowly getting my head around it all. The a problem I am having is how to stay consistent with the MVP methodology when populating GridViews (and ddls, but we will tackle that later). Is it okay to have it connected straight to an ObjectDataSourceID? To me this seems wrong because it bypasses all the separation of concerns MVP was made to do. So, with that said, how do I do it? How do I handle sorting (do I send over handler events to the presentation layer, if so how does that look in code)? Right now I have a GridView that has no sorting. Code below.   • Self hosted Wordpress freezes for 20 seconds before sending the page

    I have a website with Wordpress and PHPBB integrated - and it's been fine for months.. then all of a sudden, it's unbelievably slow to load. There are no errors in the apache logs, but looking at the page in firebug shows a 20 second pause, before the page is delivered. more confusing, on the same server, same apache installation, PHPBB loads in 30ms, no delay. I tried the hogdetector wordpress plugin, which indicates that the delay is before the header is sent - which seems to agree with firebug. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this one further?

  • How do I enable greedy MigrationHeuristic in Karmic?

    My laptop performs very poorly for 2d graphics. For example, Docky's zoom effect and compiz effects are very choppy. In Jaunty, I was able to fix this by adding the following line under the "Device" section in my xorg.conf: Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy" In Karmic, there is no xorg.conf by default, so I copied my old one (from Jaunty). However, everything is still slow. Here is my xorg.conf: Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Configured Monitor" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Monitor "Configured Monitor" Device "Configured Video Device" EndSection From googling about, it sounds like "MigrationHeuristic" is only an option for the "EXA" mode, while Karmic has switched the intel driver to "UXA". So I tried adding this line under the "Device" section: Option "AccelMethod" "exa" But this didn't help.
