  • Prompts for windows authentication when viewing a page in Web site

    Hello All, When i try to view a PARTICULAR page in my web site, it prompts for user name and password. Irrespective of providing proper user name/password and clicking OK or directly clicking Cancel button, the page is getting loaded properly. I am not sure why the authentication screen appears!!! It happens only for that particular page. Initially I thought it could be with file permission but copy pasted another page (which works fine) and renaming it doesn't solve the problem. Thoughts pl. EDIT I copied the source from the browser for that particular page and saved it as HTML. When i try to open the HTML file, it prompts for authentication.

    Hi, I came across this problem in an interview website. The problem asks for efficiently implement three stacks in a single array, such that no stack overflows until there is no space left in the entire array space. For implementing 2 stacks in an array, it's pretty obvious: 1st stack grows from LEFT to RIGHT, and 2nd stack grows from RIGHT to LEFT; and when the stackTopIndex crosses, it signals an overflow.   • how to autocenter jquery ui dialog whenb resizing browser?

    When you use jquery UI dialog, all works well, except for one thing. When the browser is resized, the dialog just stays in it's initial position which can be really annoying. You can test it out on: http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ Click on the "modal dialog" example and resize your browser. I'd love to be able to let dialogs autocenter when the browser resizes. Can this be done in an efficient way for all my dialogs in my app? Thanks a lot!

  • How to represent datetime of different time zomes in C#

    I have a .NET WebService (written in C#), that is supposed to serve people around the world. With each request I get the user's datetime in his own time zone with the format : yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm ZZZZ. I have to convert the string to something representing the original date and time and specifying the time zone in GMT. I have to make some logical calculations and keep it in the database. The regular DateTime doe's not support this. it does not have a property specifying the time zone. When I try to convert my string into DateTime - it simply converts it to my local time. I do not want to keep my time in UTC, because I have some logic that has to run per user by his own time. Does anyone know a C# class that handles this?

    I'm working on getting a Wordpress MU install running on my VPS. I enabled the 'simple-vhost' mod and can access the site fine. The problem is I can only get to it from domain.com. If I try www.domain.com I get shown the lighthttpd page? I'd like to get everything pointing to one place. My DNS records look like this: *.domain.ORG xx.xx.xx domain.ORG 300 A domain.ORG xx.xx.xx domain.ORG 300 A WWW.domain.ORG domain.ORG domain.ORG 300 CNAME domain.ORG domain.ORG domain.ORG 300 MX What is happening?     I am looking for a free virtual-desktop program that will allow me to put a different virtual desktop on each of my two monitors (one on laptop and the other external) How I would like to use it: I do a lot of work connecting to other servers using remote desktop. I would like to use the external monitor to open remote desktop in full screen and use the laptop monitor for the local machine to view my mails, chat, browser, etc. I am using XP SP3.

    If I do an override of a clone method the compiler create a bridge method to guarantee a correct polymorphism: class Point { Point() { } protected Point clone() throws CloneNotSupportedException { return this; // not good only for example!!! } protected volatile Object clone() throws CloneNotSupportedException { return clone(); } } so when is invoked the clone method the bridge method is invoked and inside it is invoked the correct clone method. But my question is when into the bridge method is called return clone() how do the VM to say that it must invoke Point clone() and not itself again???

  • Reverting CoreData data

    I have an NSTableView which is populated via a CoreData-backed NSArrayController. Users are able to edit any field they choose within the NSTableView. When they select the rows that they have modified and press a button, the data is sent to a third-party webservice. Provided the webservice accepts the updated values, I want to commit those values to my persistent store. If, however, the webservice returns an error (or simply fails to return), I want the edited fields to revert to their original values. To complicate matters, I have a number of other editable controls, backed by CoreData, which do not need to resort to this behaviour. I believe the solution to this problem revolves around the creation of a secondary Managed Object context, which I would use only for values edited within that particularly NSTableView. But I'm confused as to how the two MOC would interact with each other. What's the best solution to this problem?

  • Why is Log4Net not creating log file in production?

    I am using VS2005, a website project, a web deployment project and Log4Net. I can use logging when I am developing locally. I can see the log files and everything is fine. When I build my website, (using the web deployment project), I use the deploy as a single DLL option. When I then check the locations of where my log files should be I cannot see any files. Is there a way to troubleshoot this. I don't think adding the debug value to the App Settings will help because I don't have a console because it is a website. EDIT I don't want the 150 rep to go to waste so one last time. I compared the internal trace from my dev environment to the trace from the production. My dev environment trace shows the call the Xml Configurator where the production one does not. I have code in the global.asax on application_start() method. I put debug code in there and it is getting called in dev but not in production. I think this is where the web deployment project is causing some issues. Does the global.asax get compiled into the single DLL? When I do a build in the deployment directory I see a global.compiled file. Must this go into the bin folder in production? Or is the global.asax code in the single DLL? Having both in the bin folder or the just the DLL didn't change anything.

  • Reference methods defined in one JScript file from another JScript

    I am writing some server-side scripts using jscript and WSH. The scripts are getting quite long, and some common functions and variables would fit better in a general library script which I included in my various script instances. But, I cannot find a way reference one JScript file from another. For a moment, I though reading the file contents and passing it to "eval()" could work. But, as it says on MSDN: "Note that new variables or types defined in the eval statement are not visible to the enclosing program." (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/b51a45x6.aspx) Is there any way to include/refence a JScript from another one?

    Hi We are currently using DataSet for loading and saving our data to an xml file using Dataset and there is a good possibility that the size of the xml file could get very huge. Either way we are wondering if there is any limit on the size for an xml file so the Dataset would not run into any issues in the future due to the size of it. Please advise. Thanks N
