    I want to list software architectures from which were used in history to which are using now. As far as I know, they're client-server, cloud-computing,...But I cannot get a full list of them.   • Colors differ in the dual monitor

    I use a dual monitor. The colors appear entirely different on the new monitor than they do on my laptop. When you are selecting colors etc, to be included in a website design, it totally freaks me out. Is there no software solution that finds how the settings of one of the monitor is and puts that to the second one? Otherwise what all settings do I need to change manually on the second monitor to make it appear as it does on the laptop? Thanks in advance.

  • Location of Opera cookies set to expire after restart (time 0)

    Where does Opera store cookies that are destroyed or expire after the browser is restarted? I'm looking for information on where these temporary cookies, with time expire (0), and that are deleted after a browser restart. I tested a file "cookies4.dat" using a hex editor and it doesn't have the temporary cookies stored inside. Does Opera create a temporary file for these cookies and delete them after restart? If that was so, where are they? Or does it store them in RAM?

  • Command line tool for listing ID3 tags under Linux

    I want to write a script that manipulates ID3 tags of mp3 files. I need a tool that reads the tags and outputs it in a format in a machine-readable format. For example, if I want it to output only the title, then it outputs the title, nothing else. I tried different tools like id3 or eyeD3, but they can only be used to write tags or to output them in a human-readable format. Of course I could just filter that output through sed, but it seems unnecessarily complicated to me.

    Hi I find my self in a situation where I have to choose between either creating a new sp in database and create the middle layer code. so loose some precious development time. also the procedure is likely to contain some joins. Or use two existing sp(s), the problem of this approach is that I am doing two round trips to database. which can be poor performance especially if I have database in another server.   • I am looking for an actual functional web browser control for .NET, maybe a C++ library

    I am trying to emulate a web browser in order to execute JavaScript code and then parse the DOM. The System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser object does not give me the functionality I need. It let's me set the headers, but you cannot set the proxy or clear cookies. Well you can, but it is not ideal and messes with IE's settings. I've been extending the WebBrowser control pinvoking native windows functions so far, but it is really one hack on top of another. I can mess with the proxy and also clear cookies and such, but this control has its issues as I mentioned. I found something called WebKit .NET (http://webkitdotnet.sourceforge.net/), but I don't see support for setting proxies or cookie manipulation. Can someone recommend a c++/.NET/whatever library to do this: Basically tell me what I need to do to get an interface to similar this in .NET: // this should probably pause the current thread for the max timeout, // throw an exception on failure or return null w/e, VAGUELY similar to this string WebBrowserEmu::FetchBrowserParsedHtml(Uri url, WebProxy p, int timeoutSeconds, byte[] headers, byte[] postdata); void WebBrowserEmu::ClearCookies(); I am not responsible for my actions.

  • jQuery AutoComplete Plugin not working for JSON Response (sValue.substring is not a function)

    I'm trying to use the autocomplete plugin for jQuery (this one http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/Autocomplete). My server is returning JSON string, which I'm trying to process on the client via AutoComplete plugin's 'parse' and 'formatItem' parameters, like so: $(document).ready(function() { $('.searchBox input.textbox').autocomplete('/DoSearch.aspx', { mustMatch: false, autoFill: true, minChars: 1, dataType: 'json', parse: function(data) { var array = new Array(); for (var i = 0; i < data.length; i++) { array[array.length] = { data: data[i], value: data[i].ID, result: data[i].ID }; } return array; }, formatItem: function(row, i, n) { return row.ID + ': ' + row.Title; } }); }); When I run this I get a 'sValue.substring is not a function' error thrown in Firebug. However, if I stick breakpoints on formatItem and parse function, they are hit as expected and contain valid data it seems.     I have this TreeView: Main Node Header="Main" Sub Node Header="Sub1" Final Node Header="Item1" Final Node Header="Item2" Sub Node Header="Sub 2" Final Node Header="Item1" Final Node Header="Item2" I have two textboxes that are bound to this TreeView. One has its Text property bound to the TreeView's SelectedItem property and works OK. The other TextBox I want to bind to the Header text of the Sub Node directly above the selected Item.
