  • Safely remove window subclassing?

    I am trying to subclass the currently focused window on a Windows system using a global CBT hook. This is related to what happens in this question, but the bug is different. What happens when this subclassing is in effect, is that Opera's (version 10.50) main window is prevented from displaying. Opera has a "splash screen" where you are required to click "Start" for the main window to show that appears after Opera has not shut down properly. Whenever this window pops up, Opera's main window won't show. If Opera was shut down properly, and this splash screen does not show, the main window displays as it should. I imagine the following is happening: The window is created with it's own basic WndProc, and is given focus My application subclasses the window, storing the original WndProc Opera subclasses its own window When the window loses focus, I restore the original WndProc, thus ignoring the second WndProc Can this really be the case? Are there any other explanations?

  • Drawing a dashed line across the tops of Flex Column Chart

    Hi all, Please find the below code <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> ]; ]]> This code is drawing a colum chart with two columns and drawing a line across the top of both columns. I have two requirements : the line need to be dashed as of now the line starts from top right corner of the first column to the same corner of the second column.   • ( Flex ) How can we get an imagesnapshot of the entire component without scrollbars?

    Hi there I can take snapshot of a component. But the problem is the component is lil bigger with scroll bars. The saved image has scrollbars (only the visible area is getting saved). What i need is I want the entire component to be saved as an image. This exact functionality is available while we print the component using FlexPrintJob, where by setting the FlexPrintJobScaleType.NONE. But here in my case i want it to be saved using ImageSnapShot ( not thru FlexPrintJob ). Thanks Advance, Sriss

    Hi , While validating my CSS on http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ I am getting following errors: 1.Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1. 2.Property -webkit-transition doesn't exist : all 200ms ease-in all 200ms ease-in 3.Property opacity doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 4.Property -moz-border-radius doesn't exist 5.Property -webkit-border-radius doesn't exist Is it really required to validate the MarkUp and CSS completely for SEO or these errors which mostly are browser specific can be ignored for now. If these errors have to removed can someone please suggest the way to do so also.

  • I need to encrypt the names of my http form elements

    I have a form with certain elements, input boxes, check boxes etc. I need to encrypt the names of these input boxes and check boxes. I'm currently using a Rijndael encryption/decryption method through c# however this is making the encrypted names too long to be passed in a post. Is there a better way to get decent encrypted names? my purpose is to have the names encrypted before the post happens so if someone views the code behind the names are already encrypted.

This is a model for my ultimate intention of showing visualization of data model as it changes large number of times inside a for loop. It works but I see only one change. Now since I am changing the width randomly I should see large number of changes. It seems I am making a wrong assumption on something basic.   • TWAIN scanning components for Delphi.

    I need to add TWAIN scanning to an Delphi application and am having trouble locating an off-the-shelf component to do so. I downloaded TDelphiTwain but, when used in D2010 on Windows Vista, it does not appear to recognize any Twain sources on my system. I also tried the trial version of Twain Toolkit for Delphi from MCM which has the advantage of being currently updated (DelphiTwain's last update was 2004), but the Twain Toolkit will not even compile on my system (I think some of the DCUs are out of date). Can anyone suggest a simple method of getting TWAIN scanning into my Delphi application? UPDATE: Using vcldeveloper's update to DelphiTwain (see below) I was able to get this working. Also, I also discovered that Envision Image Library supports Twain scanning as well as assisting in handling multi-page TIFFs, and has been updated for compatibility with D2010. Late Breaking UPDATE VCLDeveloper's code, below, works fine. However, I settled on Envision library which includes the ability to easily create multi-page TIFF files. I got the Envision scanning, including multi-page file handling, implemented in a few hours.

  • Crystal Reports: Cannot insert some fields from Field Explorer to Report

    I have an existing report (Crystal Reports 11) that is based on two Oracle views. I have made 'Verify database' already, it's done and up to date. My problem is that I can insert some fields to report but some other I cannot. For example: field Name (string(35)) is ok, but similar field Compamy (string(20)) I cannot insert to Report. Drag&drop does not work and small button "Insert to Report" in Field Explorer is disabled too. Next symptom: when I try to use functionless field (e.g. Company) in Record Selection Formula Editor, Crystal Reports crash. There is any way how to add these fields into Report? Thanks

    Hi, I am trying to sort rows of a table, and put them as 'child' elements of a table row I found this: http://code.google.com/p/nestedsortables/ this works with ul li lists, but i want to build it for a table. <table> <thead> <th>tablehead</th> </thead> <tbody> <tr><td>somevalue</td></tr> <tr><td>somevalue2</td></tr> </tbody> </table> so yeah you can use jquery.sortable() and sort the rows, but i want 'somevalue' to be become a child element of 'somevalue2' if you drag 'somevalue' over 'somevalue2' I don't know if it is posible with a table. can anyone help me?   • Chrome messes up the website layout, FF and IE is good

    I am working on a website: http://www.bbp.nl/luuk-test/wac It displays really well on FF and IE. I went tot test it in chrome and it is totally messed up. Somehow chrome displays all the divs underneath each other. I really dont know where to look since it also validates well in W3C validator. Also googled it, but could not find anything. Does anyone knows the answer? Please help.

  • DataTableReader is invalid for current DataTable 'TempTable'

    Hi, I'm getting the following error whenever my code creates a DataTableReader from a valid DataTable Object: "DataTableReader is invalid for current DataTable 'TempTable'." The thing is, if I reboot my machine, it works fine for an undertimed amount of time, then dies with the above. The code that throws this error could have been working fine for hours and then: bang. you get this error. It's not limited to one line either; it's every single location that a DataTableReader is used. Also, this error does NOT occur on the production web server - ever. This is an example of one of the lines where it falls over: If I step over this line, I get this: However, if I do this in the immediate window: I get no problems. Same goes if I actually use that line in the code. This has been driving me nuts for the best part of a week, and I've failed to find anything on Google that could help (as I'm pretty positive this isn't a coding issue). Some technical info: DEV Box: Vista 32bit (with all current windows updates) Visual Studio 2008 v9.0.30729.1 SP dotNet Framework 3.5 SP1 SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition- 9.00.4035.00 (X64) Windows 2003 64bit (with all current windows updates) Web Server: Windows 2003 64bit (with all current windows updates) any help, ideas, or advice would be greatly appreciated!   • IIS7 Network Bios command limit and disabling file change notifications.

    Having experienced IIS for many years I've hit this error various times in the past, and understand it, the gist being IIS is attempting to setup so many file change notifications over a UNC share that it is hitting a specified limit of active commands. However, whilst I understand this is a registry change on the endpoints, in our internal network we're starting to hit this when running certain domains that have large content (and the content is then stored out of source control and instead on a dumb network store). Given this is a testing environment and rather than changing registry settings (which may not even work for client (dev) machines that run Vista IIS), I'd like to stop IIS setting up all these file change notifications. Is this possible to do on a per site basis? additionally the configuration can't be in the web.config, if this means having to disable FCN's for the entire IIS server this would be preferred. Thanks in advance.
