  • Help with creating a custom ItemRenderer for Flex 4

    I'm trying to create a custom ItemRenderer for a TileList in Flex 4.     Hi everybody, I have built a secured login backend that controls if a user is logged in or not. If not, the user is redirected to a login page. I would like to make a PHP function that iterates through a number of set url:s (array with url:s) to see if they are redirected or not. How could this be done? Thanks

  • Windows Server 2008 Remote Desktop printing blank pages

    I have a Windows Server 2008 (not R2) machine which has problems with redirected printing. Clients connecting via Remote Desktop have their printers redirected and appearing for them to print to, but printing from applications on the server to local printers is giving blank pages, missing pages, or pages with headers/footers but no middle section. The issues are consistant for similar prints, but sometimes other prints and/or applications will work correctly. I have installed PDFCreator locally on the server, and the same print jobs sent by the same application appear correctly in the PDFs. Printing that PDF via the redirected printer prints correctly. I have tried the following: Installing drivers. I’ve installed several drivers different drivers, for both the client and server operating system and architecture, on the client and the server. Reinstalling the printers. I’ve tried reinstalling on remote print servers, the clients, and the host server, and tried different client machines. Granting everyone full permissions on the print spool folder on the server. Editing the registry to forward non-USB ports (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302361) None of these have made any difference. The clients are using Windows 7 or Windows XP and none of them have any issues with printing locally. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Can't change user security on folder - Business Objects XI 3.1

    I've got a single folder within the list of All Folders that I can't change any user permissions on. I'm logged in as an admin and when I view security for the folder it says I have full rights to the folder yet i can't change anything on it or it's sub folders even though it clearly shows me as having rights to "Modify the rights users have to objects". As a test I added a new sub-folder called Test which created ok but I'm not able to then delete the sub folder or change it's permissions either. Interestingly we changed permissions on one sub-folder last week without issue but when I check that folder today I now can't update it. Any ideas anyone?

  • Why ping another inet machine from MacBook get netgate's ip address?

    I have three machine in my home network connected by a wireless router. One is server installed linux at 192.168.1.1, another is Thinkpad with MS Windows XP at 192.168.1.2, last one is MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.3 at 192.168.1.3. When I ping the Linux Server from Thinkpad (MS Windows XP) I can get the correct ip address, but when I ping it from Mac I get the global address of my router, like 61.135.181.175. Could you tell me why this happen? And how do I get same ping result on Mac and Windows. Thanks

  • fastest SCM tool available for Embedded software development

    Hi All, In my company, presently we are using Rational clearcase as the Software Configuration Management tool for our Embedded software development. The software is basically for Automobiles, to be specific for Engines (I dont think these information really matters). But I find Clearcase to be very slow is performing any the activities (accesing files, branching and labelling), in addition to which there are various other limitations. We have recently decided to research on some free & open source, distributed version control system which could be able to handle our large projects with speed and efficiency. This tool should be a full-fledged repository with complete history and full revision tracking capabilities, not dependent on network access or a central server. Branching and merging are fast and easy to do. It should have multisite development facility. With these above mentioned requirement, we have come up with some of the tools that are presently available in the market: GIT, Mercurial, Bazaar, Subversion, CVS, Perforce, and Visual SourceSafe. I need everybody's help in finding me an approrpiate SCM tool for me which meets the above mentioned requirements. Thanking you in Advance, Rahamath.

  • Not able to include ntifs.h in win32 project

    I tried to use the function called NTCreateFile. When I compiled it gave me an error saying "_NTCreateFile identifier not found". I inlcuded the header winternl.h. So next I tried to use ZwCreatFile, as per MSDN I included ntifs.h, but I am not able to include that header. It says "not able to open/find the directory". I am using V@2008. What is the problem? Am I missing anything?

  • Using static variable in function vs passing variable from caller

    I have a function which spawns various types of threads, one of the thread types needs to be spawned every x seconds. I currently have it like this: bool isTime( Time t ) { return t >= now(); } void spawner() { while( 1 ) { Time t = now(); if( isTime( t ) )//is time is called in more than one place in the real function { launchthread() t = now() + offset; } } } but I'm thinking of changing it to: bool isTime() { static Time t = now(); if( t >= now() ) { t = now() + offset; return true; } return false; } void spawner() { if( isTime() ) launchthread(); } I think the second way is neater but I generally avoid statics in much the same way I avoid global data; anyone have any thoughts on the different styles?

  • What does static linking against a library actually do?

    Say I had a library called libfoo which contained a class, a few static variables, possibly something with 'C' linkage, and a few other functions. Now I have a main program which looks like this: int main() { return 5+5; } When I compile and link this, I link against libfoo. Will this have any effect? Will my executable increase in size? If so, why? Do the static variables or their addresses get copied into my executable? Apologies if there is a similar question to this or if I'm being particularly stupid in any way.

  • Default boolean value in a array of record - Delphi

    Hi, I am helping out my company with some old delphi 7 code. There is a record declared at the start that is used throughout to store all the data we want outputted. type TOutput_Type = record result: String; resultoffset: String; selected: boolean; resultcategory: integer; end; and then an array of this is declared Output: array of TOutput_Type; The length is set at the start to a large value, as actual length is unknown. This array is used all over the place, but unfortunately the value selected is not always set when used. My problem is I am adding in a summary of the data, but because selected is not set, delphi seems to give it a random true or false status. Is there a way of setting all instances of selected as true at the start? Seems like a simple enough thing to do, but I'm not a delphi programmer so am unsure if its possible? I know I can go through and add in selected := true every time a new record is made, but I'd like to do it cleanly at the start if possible.... Thanks in advance

  • IE6 ignoring active link CSS style

    The CSS active link style is being correctly applied in IE7, FF, and Safari but is not applied IE6. .side_nav a.active { color:#FFFFFF; background-color:#9F1F63; } Interestingly the background color (background-color:#9F1F63;) is being applied in IE6 but not the font color (color:#FFFFFF;) Any ideas on why this is happening and how I can fix it appreciated.     Hello! Im usign a Ribbon Window and in the "content area beneath" I have a grid in which I will be displaying UserControls. To demonstrate my problem lets take a look at this simple UserControl: <ListView x:Name="lvPersonList"> <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Width="120" Header="Name" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Name}"/> <GridViewColumn Width="120" Header="Height" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Height}"/> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> And the code: public partial class MyUserControl: UserControl { private List<Person> personList; public TestSnpList() { InitializeComponent(); this.personList = new List<Person>(); this.personList.Add(new Person { Name = "Chuck Norris", Height = 210 }); this.personList.Add(new Person { Name = "John Rambo", Height = 200 }); this.lvPersonList.ItemsSource = personList; } } public class Person { public string Name { get; set; } public int Height { get; set; } } The parent Window: <Grid x:Name="grdContent" DockPanel.Dock="Top"> <controls:MyUserControl x:Name="myUserControl" Visibility="Visible"/> </Grid> I don't understant why this binding doesn't work. Instead of values (Name and Height) I get full class names. If I use this code in a Window it works fine. Any ideas?     I have a SQL Server table with a list of files (path + filename), and a folder with multiple layers and files in each layer. I'm looking for a way to reconcile the two without having to process the list twice. Currently, I'm doing this: For Each f as FileInfo In FileListFromDatabase If f.Exists is False, mark it as deleted in the database Next For Each f as FileInfo In RecursiveListOFFilesOnDisk If Not FileExistsInDatabase, then add it Next Is there a better way to do this? I'd like to avoid converting all the matching files (of which most will be) to FileInfo objects twice. Since I'm a T-SQL developer first, I'm picturing something like an OUTER JOIN of the two lists where they don't match. Something LINQ-ish?

  • Is there any way I can add alternative key binding to a feature in compiz?

    I was wondering is there any way to add additional, alternative key binding to a particular feature in compiz? I am using Wall plugin and on my ThinkPad it is convenient to switch between horizontal workspaces with media buttons for browser navigation. But there just two of them, so I have to use completely different combinations to switch between workspaces vertically and that would very helpful if I can also use similar kind of combination to switch horizontally as well in addition to those media buttons. Is there a way maybe to send a message to the compiz to execute particular command? That would solve the issue.
