  • Remove Kernel Lock from Unmounted Mass Storage USB Device from the Command Line in Linux

    I've searched high and low, and can't figure this one out. I have a older Olympus Camera (2001 or so). When I plug in the USB connection, I get the following log output: $ dmesg | grep sd [20047.625076] sd 21:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg7 type 0 [20047.627922] sd 21:0:0:0: [sdg] Attached SCSI removable disk Secondly, the drive is not mounted in the FS, but when I run gphoto2 I get the following error: $ gphoto2 --list-config *** Error *** An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not lock the device'): Camera is already in use. *** Error (-60: 'Could not lock the device') *** What command will unmount the drive. For example in Nautilus, I can right click and select "Safely Remove Device". After doing that, the /dev/sg7 and /dev/sdg devices are removed.   • Control Debug Level in C++ Library - Linux

    Hi all, I have a C++ library, which is used in both Linux and Windows. I want to enable the user to control the debug level (0 - no debug, 1 - only critical errors ... 5 - informative debug information). The debug log is printed to a text file. In Windows, I can do it using a registry value (DWORD DebugLevel). What can be a good replacement which works also for Linux? (Without 3rd party tools, for example Linux "registry").     I am getting the following error. Could you please help me in ? Msg 547, Level 16, State 0, Line 1 The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_Sup_Item_Sup_Item_Cat". The conflict occurred in database "dev_bo", table "dbo.Sup_Item_Cat". The statement has been terminated. insert into sup_item (supplier_id,sup_item_id,name,sup_item_cat_id,status_code,last_modified_user_id,last_modified_timestamp,client_id) values(10162425,10,'jaiso','123123','a','12','2010-12-12','1062425') the last coulum "client_id" i am getting the conflict. I tried to put the value which already exists in the dbo.Sup_Item_Cat to the column corresponding to the sup_item.. but no joy :-(

  • I'm looking for a better solution on importing catalog data into Adobe InDesign

    The last time I produced a catalog I used a software called EasyCatalog that worked with Adobe InDesign to merge data from a spreadsheet with graphics. I wouldn’t say it was completely successful. I know of one other catalog building software called Catalog Builder by Computer Pundits. I'm just looking for any suggestions from someone who might have gone through this process on what software I should use.

    I've downloaded latest source from mono project, compiled it and everything works (c# projects, mod_mono, xsp) except vb.net. This is on CentOS 5, on Ubuntu 10.04 I installed mono packages via apt-get and vb.net just works. What am I missing, or how to get vb.net support?

  • Set hidden form field values with JavaScript but request still empty

    HI volks, I try to set some hidden form field values with an onclick event. Ok, after I did something like this: document.getElementById('hidden_field').value = 123; I can output the value with the firebug console by entering this: alert(document.getElementById('hidden_field').value); So the values are definitely set. But now when I submit the form, the hidden field values are still empty. Do you have any idea whats going wrong? Thx for your answers.

    I need feedparser (se http://www.feedparser.org) for a project, and want to keep third party modules in a separate folder. I did this by adding a folder to my python path, and putting relevant modules there, among them feedparser. I made sure the indent in the function in question where ok (moved some line breaks down to no-indent).   • jQuery getScript and Google Maps API Problem

    HI I got a problem with loading the google maps api.     I have a span text block inside a paragraph. Inside this span block I have two paragraph breaks. On webkit, the browser renders the first paragraph correctly but fails back to browser default settings on the last two. Why? <style type="text/css"> span.post-content { font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; } </style> <p><span class="post-content"> Some text here <p/> From here text loses style and adopts browser default <p/> same here </span></p> This works in all browsers except Webkit based ones: chrome and safari.

    Imagine, we have a wpf class library with a window1.xaml and a resource dictionary res.xaml defined in it. I know how to use styles that defined in the res.xaml for the controls that defined into the window: <Window x:Class="...Window1"> <Window.Resources> <ResourceDictionary> <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> <ResourceDictionary Source="res.xaml"/> </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> </ResourceDictionary> <\Window.Resources> </Window> So we can use the dictionary's styles for all elements into the window (except the window element... I don't know how to set the style from the res.xaml for the window :( ). I saw the article where describes how to create and use attached property to add resource dictionaries to a FrameworkElement.Resources.MergedDictionaries list. It's good! We can do the same as we done in the example above but we can use the window style now. It looks like this: <Window x:Class="...Window1" xmlns: resources="..." resources:SharedResources.MergedDictionaries="res.xaml"> </Window> That's good but VS2008 cannot recognize resources from res.xaml in design time. So we have a sad situation: all styles from res.xaml are available in run-time but in the design-time VS cannot display the window (it can't find the mentioned styles). Does anybody know how to fix this situation?

I need to add a bunch of 'likes'. How do I do this? I get InvalidOperationException on the operator OrElse I have also tried Expression.Or Thanks Regards Craig.

I know that i can get rid of that exception just by not disposing the datacontext, but then the last line will generate a new query to the database, and i don't want that.   • How to roll my own index in c#?

    I need a faster way to create an index file. The application generates pairs of items to be indexed. I currently add each pair as it is generated to a sorted dictionary and then write it out to a disk file. This works well until the number of items added exceeds one million, at which time it slows to the point that is unacceptable. There can be as many as three million data items to be indexed. I prefer to avoid a database because I do not want to significantly increase the size of the deployment package, which is now less than one-half of one megabyte. I tried Access but it is even slower than the sorted dictionary -if it had an efficient bulk load utility then that might work, but I do not find such a tool for Access. Is there a better way to roll my own index?

    Hi, I'm trying to get a report done and I have a small problem with the twocolums and the line numbering in listings. The text is on two columns, the listings can be on the two columns as well. If I put the number=left, the space between the columns is not sufficient and the text from the first column is written over. Is there any way to ask the listings to put the line numbers "outside" ?   • Get rid of drop down cc-bcc-reply-to field when composing in Mail?

    Is there any way to get rid of the drop down cc bcc reply-to etc. field menu in the compose new message window in Mail in Mac OS X Snow Leopard? The offending menu is the one immediately to the left of the Subject field when composing a new message, and it interrupts me as I try to tab from To: to Subject: to the message body. If you know of any way to be rid of it, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
