  • HELP with XML to XML transformation using XSLT.

    Am a rookie trying XSLT and XML tranformations for the first time. To start off, i tried a simple sample programs. I expected the Output in Tree format (maintaining the hierarchy) instead i just get " KING" in single line... What could be the problem? PS: I use XMLSpy. Any guideline would be great full.   • How to convert string "0671" or "0x45" into integer form with 0 and 0x in the beginning.

    I wanted to make my own encryption algorithm and decryption algorithm , encryption algorithm works fine and converts ascii value of the characters into alternate hexadecimal and octal representations. But when I tried decryption, problem occured as it return int('0671') = 671, as 0671 is string type in the following code. Is there a method to convert "ox56" into integer form??????   • Pango Cursor Rendering and Highlighting....

    How do you render the cursor and create highlighting for selected text in Pango? Also, can I use PangoCairo to render parts of a layout at a time, so I can draw it in different ways (such as with an outline)? Finally, how did you get your understanding of Pango, there doesn't seem to be very many tutorials and the technical documentation only describes the functions. Thanks!

  • Adding tables to sql server result in Domain\user.name.tablename

    Our app uses migratordotnet to modify the backing SQL Server 2005 database. This works great 99% of the time but we are running into an issue. We have a client that is using and Active Directory group for sql server login and when new tables are added it creates them as Domain\login.table_name. What permissions are needed to be given to the AD group to add the tables as dbo.table_name? This does not happen in with all of our clients with similar configurations so I must be missing something.

  • Silverlight Datagrid select on right click

    Hi Is there a way for a right click event to select a row in toolkit datagrid? I'm using toolkit context menu which works nicely, but the problem is, only left click is able to select rows, and I need right click to be able to do that if I want my context menu to work properly. Any help is appreciated

  • Precompile asp.net webpart dll

    Hi, I have built a few custom webparts for WSS 3 using the Visual Studio 2010 Web application template. When I compile the application, Visual Studio creates the assembly file in the bin directory which I copy over later to the production server (another machine) with WSS 3. The compiled webpart dll is copied into the bin folder inside the virtual directory of WSS. I would like to precompile the webpart / dll using the aspnet_precompiler on my development machine to reduce the delay when the page is first requested. I have used the following command to precompile the entire Web Application: aspnet_precompile -v / -p PATH_TO_WEB_APPLICATION C:\WebApp -errorstack The compilation runs fine without any errors and I end up with a couple of .compiled files and also a Web_App_xxxxx.dll file inside the C:\WebApp\bin folder. From here onwards I am a bit lost how to proceed. Could you give me an advise to which folder I need to copy the compiled files on the production server? Do they need to go into the bin folder on the server or better inside the temporary asp.net folder %SystemRoot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\versionNumber\Temporary ASP.NET Files folder? Can I precompile the Web application on a development machine without the IIS metabase? Cheers, Mathias

    Hi All, I am new to web services. I have a requirement in my project. I have to consume the web services of our vendor in my project. All he has shared with me is a WSDL file and a document about the description of the the different operations. Question:- 1: What do I need to do consume these web services in my java project? I have been advised to use axis2, eclipse with tomcat6. 2: Do I need to ask for some other files/information from WS vendor OR wsdl file is enough to consume these web services? 3: Do I need to write a java WS client (using axis2 plugin) or another webservice which will talk to vendor web service? Please suggest the best possible way. I am sorry if the question sounds like a naive..

  • Maintaining the query string in ASP.Net MVC

    Hi all Just beginning my journey in ASP.Net MVC and I have a query about something before I dig myself in too deep. I have a table, which is paged, and I have 2 controls above the table: Dropdown that defines order of the results and apply button next to it Textbox that defines a filter and apply button next to it What I need to achieve is that if the user changes the order or adds a filter I fire of an AJAX call to my action like such: /Membership/Users?sort=value&filter=value&page=pagenumber. So my controller action is: // GET Membership/Users?sort=&filter=&page= public ActionResult Users(string sort, string filter, string page) So I have 3 questions: Is this the correct approach? What would be the best way to ensure that the query string is maintained, bearing in mind that the action will nearly always be called by Jquery/Ajax functions? If I wanted to link directly to this action passing the arguments would I need to hard-code the querystring? Thanks

    action method is not called Please refer to this question - , One of my UICommand Component is rendered conditionally , it was said in the answer of the linked question - point 5 - that if the Component's or any of its parents rendered or disabled attributes are false - then the action method will not be called ?   • Constructors in Inner classes (implementing Interfaces)

    Hi, How would I go about writing a constructor for an inner class which is implementing an interface? I know I could make a whole new class, but I figure there's got to be a way to do something along the line of this: JButton b = new JButton(new AbstractAction() { public AbstractAction() { super("This is a button"); } public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { System.out.println("button clicked"); } }); When I enter this it doesn't recognize the AbstractAction method as a constructor (compiler asks for return type). Anyone have an idea? Thanks

  • Can't find Role Services in Windows 7

    I'm trying to install PHP on Windows 7 Home Premium using these instructions: Using FastCGI to Host PHP Applications on IIS 7 and a 1/3 of the way down on the page I have to do this: Server Manager -> Roles -> Add Role Services and just cannot find Roles or Role Services. Any ideas? PHP is giving me a 500 error and I'm wondering if it's because I haven't done this role services thing.

    I have some configuration in my vimrc. Some generic ones, and some other really specific. I would like to share this config with some co workers, but a lot of them don't need these specific ones. Instead of editing a bunch of different vimrc, I would like to know if it's possible to have an "include" directive - something like a file named ".vimrc_module" and called from vimrc. Is it possible?

  • String Object. Clarification needed

    Guys, help me clarify. Say i have the following line in my program: jobSetupErrors.append("abc"); In the case above where jobSetupErrors is a StringBuilder(), what i see happen is: New String Object is created and assigned value "abc" value of that String object is assigned to the existing StringBuilder object If that is correct, and I add 1 more line ... jobSetupErrors.append("abc"); logger.info("abc"); In the above example are we creating String object separately 2 times? If so, would it be more proper to do something like this? String a = "abc"; jobSetupErrors.append(a); logger.info(a); Is this a better approach? Please advise

  • Should I use a class in this: Reading a XML file using lxml.

    Hi everyone. This question is in continuation to my previous question, in which I asked about passing around an ElementTree. I need to read the XML files only and to solve this, I decided to create a global ElementTree and then parse it wherever required. My question is: Is this an acceptable practice? I heard global variables are bad. If I don't make it global, I was suggested to make a class. But do I really need to create a class? What benefits would I have from that approach. Note that I would be handling only one ElementTree instance per run, the operations are read-only. If I don't use a class, how and where do I declare that ElementTree so that it available globally? (Note that I would be importing this module) Please answer this question in the respect that I am a beginner to development, and at this stage I can't figure out whether to use a class or just go with the functional style programming approach.
