  • How Does AutoPatch Handle Shared E-Business Suite Products?

You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindbogglingly big it is.~ Douglas AdamsDouglas Adams could have been talking about the E-Business Suite.  Depending upon whom you ask (and how you count them), there are between 200 to 240 products in Oracle E-Business Suite.  The products that make up Oracle E-Business Suite are tightly integrated. Some of these products are known as shared or dependent products. Installed and registered automatically by Rapid Install, such products depend on components from other products for full functionality.For example:General Ledger (GL) depends on Application Object Library (FND) and Oracle Receivables (AR)Inventory (INV) depends on FND and GLReceivables (AR) depends on FND, INV, and GLIt can sometimes be challenging to craft a patching strategy for these types of product dependencies.  To help you with that, our Applications Database (AD) team has recently published a new document that describes the actions AutoPatch takes with shared Oracle E-Business Suite products:Patching Shared Oracle E-Business Suite Products (Note 1069099.1)

  • What's a good icon to represent a legend or a key for a diagram?

    I'm implementing a small web app widget that shows a legend/key for a diagram (or chart/map/graph/whatever), but only during mouseover of the widget. It's basically just going to be a div with a background image. What would be a good icon that communicates "I show the legend" or "I am the legend" to the unfamiliar users? I'm looking for something in the 10x10 to 20x20 pixel range. Assuming that a legend is the same thing as a key (is it?) then I could use a small icon of a key (like you'd unlock a door with) but that seems cheesy or unclear at worst. I'm not sure that's really the clearest way to do it. Is there an icon that should instantly remind users of a legend?

In a sense I would like to use late exception mechanize that occur after the function already finished executing.and returned the wanted value.     Does C++ have a proper implementation of interface that does not use vtable? for example class BaseInterface{ public: virtual void func() const = 0; } class BaseInterfaceImpl:public BaseInterface{ public: void func(){ std::cout<<"called."<<endl; } } BaseInterface* obj = new BaseInterfaceImpl(); obj->func(); the call to func at the last line goes to vtable to find the func ptr of BaseInterfaceImpl::func, but is there any C++ way to do that directly as the BaseInterfaceImpl is not subclassed from any other class besides the pure interface class BaseInterface?   • Return pointer to nested inner class from generic outer class

    I'm new to C++, so bear with me. I have a generic class called A. A has a nested class called B. A contains a method called getB(), which is supposed to return a new instance of B. However, I can't get my code to compile. Here's what it looks like:#include A.h template <class E> class A { public: class B { public: int data; }; B * getB(); }; A.cpp #include "A.h" template <class E> A<E>::B * A::getB() { return new B(); } When I try to compile this, I get the following error: error: expected constructor, destructor, or type conversion before '*' token Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?   • Expose jar resources over web

    I have a web-service (with Spring-WS). I have a jar with several schemas (schema1.xsd, schema2.xsd and schema3.xsd) which I include in my web service. Is there a way to expose the schemas from the jar through a servlet somehow in my web-service wep app? My Spring MessageDispatcherServlet is mapped to /ws/ I would like my schemas to be exposed to /schemas/schema1.xsd /schemas/schema2.xsd and so on. I have an idea how to do it with a servlet, but it's too verbose and there has to be a nicer way. The way I am thinking is have a servlet filter and everything that hits /schemas/ check if it is in my list of allowed resources and display it. This has to be a server agnostic solution. (For instance http://tuckey.org/urlrewrite/ will not work). Thanks.

  • How to get indexPath.row at textFieldDidEndEditing

    Hey all, i use some code for inline cell editing from Apples TaggedLocations Example and im now stuck. At the demo Code they save the changes at textFieldDidEndEditing, this works because they asume to edit only the first element in a table view. I have to edit every row at the table view, so my problem is how to get indexPath.row to update the correct object stored in a mutableArray. Or did i miss something? Thanks for your help!

  • Need help getting buttons to work...

    I am trying to get my first button to update a display number in my view when clicked. This view will have several buttons and "outputs" displayed. When I had set the view to have a TextView with the number set as a string , the number displayed, but I could not figure out how to update the text with a numerical field. That may be my real problem. I have gone through many examples generally referenced from the dev. site (UI, Common Tasks, various samples), and I am still not seeing the connection here... Again, this is simply a try at getting variables to respond to buttons and update on the view. So, a few Q's for anyone that can help; 1) Is there any easier way of doing this (ie. send numerical value to View) ? 2) Why isn't my TextSwitcher displaying the number? 3) Should I be using a TextSwitcher here? 4) Any examples of this you can point me to?

    Based on this question I understand the purpose of the construct in linking C libraries with C++ code. Now suppose the following: I have a '.so' shared library compiled with a C++ compiler. The header has a 'typedef stuct' and a number of function declarations. If the header includes the extern "C" declaration... #ifdef __cplusplus extern "C" { #endif // typedef struct ...; // function decls #ifdef __cplusplus } #endif ... what is the effect? Specifically I'm wondering if there are any detrimental side effects of that declaration since the shared library is compiled as C++, not C. Is there any reason to have the extern "C" declaration in this case?

  • Erlang: How to view output of io:format/2 calls in processes spawned on remote nodes.

    Hello, I am working on a decentralized Erlang application. I am currently working on a single PC and creating multiple nodes by initializing erl with the -sname flag. When I spawn a process using spawn/4 on its home node, I can see output generated by calls io:format/2 within that process in its home erl instance. When I spawn a process remotely by using spawn/4 in combination with register_name, output of io:format/2 is sometimes redirected back to the erl instance where the remote spawn/4 call was made, and sometimes remains completely invisible. Similarly, when I use rpc:call/4, output of io:format/2 calls is redirected back to the erl instance where the `rpc:call/4' call is made. How do you get a process to emit debugging output back to its parent erl instance?

    Hi, not sure if this is the best forum or if there's someplace better...but I need to write a script/macro for Open Office. I am sending a letter to 4-6 different people (A,B,C,D). The format for, say, four people would be: Dear A, I'm writing to B,C, and D. Dear B, I am writing to A,C, and D. etc. Sometimes it may be 4. Sometimes 6. Sometimes 10. But it needs to cycle through all and do so listing the ones not in the "dear" header.

  • Can someone explain ORA-29861 error in plain english and its possible cause?

    I have an application implemented in Grails framework using underlying Hibernate. After it runs for a while, I got an Oracle DB error and resolved it by rebuilding the offending index. I wonder if anyone can propose the possible cause(s) and ways to prevent it from happening.   • Php error in closure compiler execution

    When I run php-closure i get a PHP error Undefined index: HTTP_IF_NONE_MATCH in <b>/php-closure.php</b> on line <b>183</b> Line 184 of php-closure is trim($_SERVER['HTTP_IF_NONE_MATCH']) == $etag) { This error only happens when closure has already written the compressed javascript file to the directory once, if the directory is emptied the error does not appear.   • How to scroll table view with toolbar at the top of the view

    Hello, I have a view with a toolbar at the top and a table view with text fields in it's cells. When I want to edit the text fields placed in the bottom of the table view the keyboard is hiding the text field being edited (as the table view is not scrolled up). I tried to implement http://cocoawithlove.com/2008/10/sliding-uitextfields-around-to-avoid.html but this makes my whole view move up (the toolbar and the table view) while I would like to have the toobar at the top of the view for the whole time. I want to pass a "class path" as an accept option ! It is probably a simple answer but i can't figure it out.   • Static library woes in iPhone 3.x with categories and C libraries

    I have a static library (let's call it S) that uses a category (NSData+Base64 from MGTwitterEngine) and a C library (MiniZip wrapped by ZipArchive). This static library is used in an iPhone 3.x project (let's call it A). To be able to use the MiniZip library I included its files in project A as well as the static library S. If not I get compilation errors. Project A works fine on the simulator. When I run it on the device, I get unrecognized selector errors when the category is used. As pointed out here, it seems there's a linker bug that affects categories in iPhone 3.x (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1147676/categories-in-static-library-for-iphone-device-3-0). The workaround is to add -all_load to the Other Linker Flags of the project that references the static library. However, if I do this then I get duplicate symbol errors because I included the MiniZip libraries in project A. A workaround is to include the category files in project A as well. If I do this, project A works well in the device, but fails to build on the simulator because of duplicate symbol errors. How should I set up project A to make it work on the simulator and the device with the same configuration?

  • jQuery related item table highlighter

    I have a table fill with cell items. If I click on a cell item, that cell item is 'linked' or related to other cell items, which need to be highlighted. If another cell item is clicked, that cell's related cells need to light up. Is there a jQuery plugin to accomplish something like this? Or would I have to look into writing one myself?
