  • free sql script to get a list of countries, provinces/states and their cities.

    I am working on a registration page for a php website as mysql as the backend database. I need a sql script to insert the list of countries with their associated provinces and the provinces with their associated cities. I need all the countries, provinces and cities all over the world which are related to each other. I can get the individual list of countries, provinces and cities but there is no list that relates them together.. any help appreciated.. thanks in advance.

  • Conditionan Action in SSRS

    I want my textbox to have an action ONLY if the condition is true, otherwise no action. This is what I have as my current action expression for going to another report: =IIf(Fields!MyTextbox.Value = "0", "Report2","") This does not produce my desired result. It gives the textbox an action regardless of the condition result. Is there a 'No Action' or 'Cancel Action' value?

  • How do I register a Javascript function to run with every postback?

    I have a treeview in a user control. I need to run a javascript function with every synch postback to scroll the div it's in to the right position. I've got it working, but I think there has to be a "cleaner" way to do it. In the Page_Load function of the control, I have the following code. Is there a better way to do it?   • System.Diaganostics.Process.Id Isn't the Same Process Id Shown in Task Manger. Why?

    I'm using c#'s System.Diagnostic.Process object. One of its properties is Id. The Id this produces is not the same as the PID, shown in Windows Task Manager. Why is this? You see, once this process is started. It launches two other unmanaged processes, for which I can't explicitly get IDs for by object property references. I have to search through all processes to find them by process name via System.Diagnostics.Process.GetProcesses(). I'm trying to find a reliable way to kill this process and all associated processes by PID, the one that shows in Task Manager. Is there a better way? I can't just kill all processes with the associated process names, because that might kill other instances of those processes that have nothing to do with my program.

  • Converting a large SQL Server Database to Azure Storage

    Hi guys, I have a very large database structure, (Data is not important at this point, I can migrate the info in the db pretty easily if the structure is done) , all reside in SQL Server and I even published it to SQL Azure, but thinking about the limitation of SQL Azure in size, made me decide to switch most of the tables that do not need all the bells and whistles of SQL Azure to Azure Table and blob storage. I was thinking of creating a TT template that dose that, but was wondering if their is a tool that do that. Any ideas or thoughts. The only tables that i would keep in SQL Azure would anything related to transactions like payments. Appreciate your thoughts and advice

    How can I determine the current transform that's being applied by an html5 canvas. It seems that it only supports two methods for dealing with transforms "transform", "setTransform" but I can't seem to discover the results of applying the transforms. Short of tracking them all myself and duplicating the the matrix mathematics that it must be doing natively, how can I figure out the current transform?

  • Safari Javascript parent.frames.length

    I get a parse error from Safari with this code: for (var i=0; i<parent.frames.length; i++){...} doing alert(parent.frames.length); works and outputs the correct value which is 5. I also tried but failed: var len = parent.frames.length alert(len); //Correct for (var i=0; i<len; i++){...} //Parse Error When i type this code into the console directly, it works fine. And it also works fine in other browsers. What seems to be the problem?

    I get the following error message The table/view 'TABLE1' does not have a primary key defined and no valid primary key could be inferred. This table/view has been excluded. To use the entity you will need to review your schema, add the correct keys and uncomment it when I try to add a view to an Entity Data Model. For testing, I have created a very simple view and I still get the error. below is the view definition SELECT DISTINCT TOP (100) PERCENT MIN(id) AS Expr4, MIN(EmpNo) AS Expr1, MIN(Name) AS Expr2, MIN(Category) AS Expr3 FROM dbo.MYView1 GROUP BY id does any one know of a simple work around. I have looked at this thread http://stackoverflow.com/questions/745341/can-ms-sql-views-have-primary-and-foriegn-keys but in my scenario, what is recommended is not applicable. If I could only have the view added to the Model.

    Hi All, I have an Entity model with Invoices, AffiliateCommissions and AffiliateCommissionPayments. Invoice to AffiliateCommission is a one to many, AffiliateCommission to AffiliateCommissionPayment is also a one to many I am trying to make a query that will return All Invoices that HAVE a commission but not necessarily have a related commissionPayment. I want to show the invoices with commissions whether they have a commission payment or not. Query looks something like: using (var context = new MyEntitities()) { var invoices = from i in context.Invoices from ac in i.AffiliateCommissions join acp in context.AffiliateCommissionPayments on ac.affiliateCommissionID equals acp.AffiliateCommission.affiliateCommissionID where ac.Affiliate.affiliateID == affiliateID select new { companyName = i.User.companyName, userName = i.User.fullName, email = i.User.emailAddress, invoiceEndDate = i.invoicedUntilDate, invoiceNumber = i.invoiceNumber, invoiceAmount = i.netAmount, commissionAmount = ac.amount, datePaid = acp.paymentDate, checkNumber = acp.checkNumber }; return invoices.ToList(); } This query above only returns items with an AffiliateCommissionPayment.

  • How to save data between calls to a IHttpHandler?

    I have a IHttpHandler that acts as a source to a jQuery Autocomplete input field. In the constructor of the handler I generate an index that remains fairly static between request (needs to be rebuilt maybe once a day). How can I cache the the index between calls? Debugging indicates that the constructor is called for each request. I've set IsReusable to "false".

  • g++ C++0x enum class Compiler Warnings

    I've been refactoring my horrible mess of C++ type-safe psuedo-enums to the new C++0x type-safe enums because they're way more readable. Anyway, I use them in exported classes, so I explicitly mark them to be exported: enum class __attribute__((visibility("default"))) MyEnum : unsigned int { One = 1, Two = 2 }; Compiling this with g++ yields the following warning: type attributes ignored after type is already defined This seems very strange, since, as far as I know, that warning is meant to prevent actual mistakes like: class __attribute__((visibility("default"))) MyClass { }; class __attribute__((visibility("hidden"))) MyClass; Of course, I'm clearly not doing that, since I have only marked the visibility attributes at the definition of the enum class and I'm not re-defining or declaring it anywhere else (I can duplicate this error with a single file). Ultimately, I can't make this bit of code actually cause a problem, save for the fact that, if I change a value and re-compile the consumer without re-compiling the shared library, the consumer passes the new values and the shared library has no idea what to do with them (although I wouldn't expect that to work in the first place). Am I being way too pedantic? Can this be safely ignored? I suspect so, but at the same time, having this error prevents me from compiling with Werror, which makes me uncomfortable. I would really like to see this problem go away.

    I have got a problem with calling a global function, which takes a pointer to a function as a parameter. Here is the declaration of the global function: int lmdif ( minpack_func_mn fcn, void *p, int m, int n, double *x, double *fvec, double ftol) The "minpack_func_mn" symbol is a typedef for a pointer to a function, defined as: typedef int (*minpack_func_mn)(void *p, int m, int n, const double *x, double *fvec, int iflag ); I want to call the "lmdif" function with a pointer to a function which is a member of a class I created, and here is the declaration of this class function: int LT_Calibrator::fcn(void *p, int m, int n, const double *x, double *fvec,int iflag) I am calling a global function like this: info=lmdif(&LT_Calibrator::fcn, 0, m, n, x, fvec, ftol) Unfortunately, I get a compiler error, which says: "error C2664: 'lmdif' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'int (__thiscall LT_Calibrator::* )(void *,int,int,const double *,double *,int)' to 'minpack_func_mn' 1 There is no context in which this conversion is possible" Is there any way to solve that problem?

  • Sifr & Colorbox: strange gap in border of colorbox

    There seems to be a strange gap on the left side of the colorbox when it's laying over a Sifr element.   • weird swing heavyweight object lightweight objects problem

    Hello, We have a problem in our swing based application since we've upgraded our java version from 6u5 to 6u18 (The application runs over WinXP). Our application contains a Canvas object which resides in a JFrame. The application draws things on the canvas. Every time we drag a lightweight swing object (popup or another frame) over the canvas, it has a refresh problem. It blinks - becomes black. The problem only resolves after we move the swing component away from the canvas and click on it again. We think this problem is related to the fact the the canvas is a heavyweight object. And we know there were changes done in the new versions of java on the mixing of heavyweight and lightweight objects issue. Some more details: 1) Our problem reproduces in java 6u14 and 6u16. 2) Everything works fine in java 6u5. Another strange thing: We have 2 types of stations running our application. The first type has a ATI FireGL7100 PCI-E graphics card. The second type has a Matrox G450 PCI graphic card. The problem does not reproduce on the Matrox based station in any java version. One more thing: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6829858 - looks similar to our problem. Is our problem familiar? Do you have any suggestions (workarounds, ideas how the difference in graphics cards is connected to this problem) Hope I was clear enough, Yoav

    I’ve got the basics of a content rotator done, the only problem is it doesn’t loop itself back to the beginning and I cannot figure out why! It is a very simple javascript script: window.onload = function() { setInterval("transition()", 5000); } function transition() { var y = document.getElementById("featured").getElementsByTagName("li"); for (var i=0;i<y.length;i++) { if (y[i].className == "current") { y[(i+1)].className = "current"; y[i].className = ""; break; } } } It keeps stopping at the end of the list, basically I just want it to loop. Any help?
