  • Huge anon blocks in pmap

    I am doing a pmap on a tomcat process and I am seeing some huge anon blocks. From what I read anon blocks are used for thread stacks and for JNI. I have a very moderate thread count. How can I go about finding out what is causing these huge anon blocks? 00000000ee0d0000 26752K rwx-- [ anon ] 00000000efaf0000 33792K rwx-- [ anon ] 00000000f1bf0000 25856K rwx-- [ anon ] 00000000f3530000 39680K rwx-- [ anon ] ( on a side note is pmap the correct way to measure how much memory is allocated to tomcat?)

  • UITableViewCellStyleDefault image size

    Hello all, I am getting some odd behavior from stock table cells, or maybe not odd, maybe I am making some assumptions. I create the cells as follows: cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; Then I assign an image to the default imageView property. My image usually comes in from a user, so it might be larger than the default size. To take care of this I: [cell.imageView setContentMode:UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit]; which I expected to scale the image for me within the control, but in reality, the images are all over the map. So, is there a proper way to constrain the image in stock cell types? Thanks in advance!

  • beforeClose not working in jGrowl?

    I have the following code which pulls json data from an ASP.NET page and displays these as notifications. The code will also take a note of what's been pulled through and store it in an array to prevent it being shown again in the same session. I'm now trying to implement functionality so that when the user closes a message, it's ID is recorded in a cookie to prevent it ever being shown again. To do this, I'm trying to write to the cookie when the beforeClose event fires. Everything else works fine apart from the saving to a cookie bit.   • Going international: tha language class or method in .net

    Hi, I created a small WPF desktop application. I am thinking about how to make my application internationalized. Is there any Language Class to research (.NET 3.5 based)? I want to load the my application language from windows region/language configuration automatically. OR. some method to switch language from my application menu list.( no additional language package installation, assume the windowns system language packages support Chinese/English/Japanese/Korea already).

  • Automatically Creating A Zip after Code Signing in Xcode

    I have a custom script step in my build process that zips the executable. However this is executing before the executable is signed which is pretty useless. Is there a way to zip the build output after the code is signed, within the Xcode build process. I can certainly do it externally if i need to, but I'd like to make it part of my Xcode build script.

  • Java Package - To create a button and import one when needed.

    This is more like a package/import test. We'll start with my base folder at .../javaf/test.java My goal is to create subcategory and create a class with a button that I can import to test.java when I need a button. I feel like I've done it right, I know that the button doesn't do anything as of now, but I just want to make the whole thing work and expand the code thereafter.   • Passing a var as an argument

    On a site I'm making I need to have a progress bar, I found one that suited my needs. By default it will incrementally change the color when a certain percentage is reached (0-30 red, 30-70 orange, etc). My only problem is changing them, I can set them easily with a static number such as 50, but when I try to do it dynamically (ie: 2000*.3 = 600) it fails. I don't know much js/jquery so this is especially difficult for me, if you could help that would be great. I'm pretty sure it's something really simple I'm missing.     I would like to add tabs for my website and I understand I can use the tab control in the AJAX toolkit or I can choose to go with JQuery UI tabs. Each tab would need to load a separate asp.net page and I need to customize the tabs to look slick. Any thoughts on what approach I can use?

Is this a bug or is it expected behavior and I'm missing some nuance in QDockWidget that causes this?   • Nvidia Ion HDMI output problems.

    I bought ACERREVO, first I connected it to the SONY TV Via HDMI output for few days it worked very well and one fine day when switch the computer on it boots and TV screen becomes black and message on the TV shows -no input signal. I connect it to Samsung LED TV, it did the same. What do you guys think the problem is how to tackle this issue. Any help is deepley appreciated.

  • [SOLVED} How do I restore my audio after uninstalling Ventrilo?

    Hi, I've a Dell studio 1555 bought on september with Windows 7 64bit Professional on it. The audio device works proprerly, while listening to audio contents (from disk or internet) When I use Ventrilo, the audio from other people sounds good and I hear their voices clearly When I use any other VOIP programs like Teamspeak 3, MSN or Skype, I hear a disturbed voice, and it's impossible to comprehend something... Anyway everything worked fine until I installed Ventrilo, but removing it didn´t solve my problem. Update: Here's a sample of how I hear others people voices.. Audio Sample After some tests, also the desktop has the same problem. (I tried TeamSpeak3) Here are some details on my laptop and desktop Laptop Dell Studio 1555 Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4Ghz 4Gb Ram Dual Channel Ati HD 4570 512Mb dedicated (up to 2048) IDT High Definition Audio Desktop Motherboard Asus P5KPL-AM Dual Core CPU E5200 2.50Ghz 2x2GB PC6400 Dual Channel Ati Radeon HD 4650 512MB VIA High Definition Audio Both computers have Windows 7 Professional 64Bit. So how do I restore my audio? SOLVED The problem was in router firmware, there was a bug that recognized VoIP traffic as a DOS attack and the router grambled every packet... I've installed the newest firmware and everything is fine :)

  • Getting MSDeploy working on our build/integration server - Is an MSBuild upgrade necessary?

    We have what I think is a fairly standard build process: 1. Developer: Check in code 2. Build: Polls repo, sees change, and kicks off build that: 3. Build: Updates from repo, Builds w/ MSBuild, Runs unit tests w/ nunit, 4. Build: creates installer package Our security team allows us to pull from the build server, but does not allow the build server to push. So we generally rdp in, d/l the installers, and run them, which rules out the slick deployment services, so I would need to generate packages instead. I'd like to use MSDeploy, except that we have the following issues: We're on .net 3.5, and the MSBuild target (Package) that uses MSDeploy requires 4.0. Is there anything I'd need to install other than .net 4.0 RC for this? (Would MSBuild be part of that upgrade?) When I generate packages with MSDeploy, I see that I don't have just 1 file. There's a zip, deploy.cmd, SourceManifest.xml, and SetParameters.xml. What are all the other files for, and why wouldn't they all be in the 'package'? It sounds as if you can create packages by telling the system to look at a working IIS site. But if the packages are build from a CI environment, aren't you basically out of luck here? It feels like they designed some of this for small-scale developers deploying from their dev environment. That's a fine use case, but I'm interested in see what everyone's enterprise-experience is with the tool Any suggestions?
