  • Domain transfer and New Hosting Management

    - by Anubhav Saini
    I wanted to migrate from my older registrar to GoDaddy. Main reason because current registrar/hosting provider doesn't support .NET. My old registrar gave me control over the domain and hosting account. So, basically I have everything I would need. ( I know theory only ) I applied for Transfer of domain, bought a hosting package from GoDaddy and uploaded new web site. So, I am waiting for domain transfer and it tells me that I have to wait for 5-7 days for approval. Okay. But today, my old registrar told/taunted me that I really didn't need to apply for transfer. What could possibly I have done differently? My domain expires on this 15th. Now I don't know much about how all of this really works, but I am guessing he meant, "you should have waited for 15 days and let it expire after which you should buy the domain as it is expired". Is it really so(I doubt) or there are some other ways I could have got same result but without transferring domain? (like, changing DNS entries) I have read like all of the documentation available on namecheap/GoDaddy/Whois about domain transfers. But maybe because I am new to this it is all confusing to me. I would also like to know what to do with DNS settings after transfer succeeds. I want to kill the old website. So, what nameserver settings I need to change, new one or old one or both? I have old host+old domain registrar + old working site on one hand, on the other hand, new site + pending domain transfer + new DNS settings.

  • Load Testing Linux Virtual Server

    - by Anubhav Agarwal
    I have configured a Linux virtual network with following configuration 172.17.6.112- VIP 172.17.6.111- Linux Director | |----------172.17.6.113 --- Real Server 1 |----------172.17.6.114 --- Real Server 2 I am using direct routing technique. I am unable to test my LVS network. Are there some good scripts/softwares available for load testing. I am running apache2.0 service on them. I came across with testlvs on the internet but am unable to understand its documentation. Are there more simpler ones I want to test the response time of server using various scheduling algorithms .

  • iPhone NSXMLParser parsing string and storing in a NSNumber variable and different data types

    - by anubhav
    Hi, I am trying to parse a XML File using NSXMLParser, I also have a Container class, in which I have a few instance variables. One of the elements that I am trying to parse in the XML is: <book sn="32.859669048339128" pn="-116.917800670489670"> I am trying to save the value of sn and pn in an instance variable of object Container: NSNumber *sn, NSNumber *pn. I want it so that when my parser get the attributeValues it can save it as a Double (or float) in those NSNumber pointers. Right now, all it does it just saves a string to the NSNumber. The Parser Code looks like this: if([elementName isEqualToString:@"book"]){ container = [[Container alloc] init]; container.sn=[attributeDict objectForKey:@"sn"]; container.pn=[attributeDict objectForKey:@"pn"]; } I want it so that the type of container.sn is initialized to a float or double. Any ideas how to do this? Thanks in advance!

  • parallelizing code using openmp

    - by anubhav
    Hi, The function below contains nested for loops. There are 3 of them. I have given the whole function below for easy understanding. I want to parallelize the code in the innermost for loop as it takes maximum CPU time. Then i can think about outer 2 for loops. I can see dependencies and internal inline functions in the innermost for loop . Can the innermost for loop be rewritten to enable parallelization using openmp pragmas. Please tell how. I am writing just the loop which i am interested in first and then the full function where this loop exists for referance. Interested in parallelizing the loop mentioned below. //* LOOP WHICH I WANT TO PARALLELIZE *// for (y = 0; y < 4; y++) { refptr = PelYline_11 (ref_pic, abs_y++, abs_x, img_height, img_width); LineSadBlk0 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk0 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk0 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk0 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk1 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk1 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk1 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk1 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk2 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk2 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk2 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk2 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk3 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk3 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk3 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; LineSadBlk3 += byte_abs [*refptr++ - *orgptr++]; } The full function where this loop exists is below for referance. /*! *********************************************************************** * \brief * Setup the fast search for an macroblock *********************************************************************** */ void SetupFastFullPelSearch (short ref, int list) // <-- reference frame parameter, list0 or 1 { short pmv[2]; pel_t orig_blocks[256], *orgptr=orig_blocks, *refptr, *tem; // created pointer tem int offset_x, offset_y, x, y, range_partly_outside, ref_x, ref_y, pos, abs_x, abs_y, bindex, blky; int LineSadBlk0, LineSadBlk1, LineSadBlk2, LineSadBlk3; int max_width, max_height; int img_width, img_height; StorablePicture *ref_picture; pel_t *ref_pic; int** block_sad = BlockSAD[list][ref][7]; int search_range = max_search_range[list][ref]; int max_pos = (2*search_range+1) * (2*search_range+1); int list_offset = ((img->MbaffFrameFlag)&&(img->mb_data[img->current_mb_nr].mb_field))?   • Paddle Movement using Box2D

    - by Anubhav Sharma
    Hello everybody, I'm making a game like Arkanoid and to move the ship with mouse, I'm using the following code : var mousex:int = costume.stage.mouseX; if (mousex < paddleWidth/2) mousex = paddleWidth/2; else if (mousex > PhysiVals.STAGE_WIDTH - paddleWidth/2) mousex = PhysiVals.STAGE_WIDTH - paddleWidth / 2; var idealLocation:Point = new Point(mousex, ypos); var directionToTravel:b2Vec2 = new b2Vec2((idealLocation.x -> costume.x) * PhysiVals.paddleSpeed, idealLocation.y-costume.y); directionToTravel.Multiply(1 / PhysiVals.RATIO); directionToTravel.Multiply(30); body.SetLinearVelocity(directionToTravel); Everything's going fine there! The paddle is moving the way it should! The problem is I want a little inclination towards the direction its moving and when it stops moving the angle of inclination should become zero. I tried playing with the angular velocity but I have no real idea how to do this! So Please help!

  • find a duplicate entry in an array in constant space and O(n) time [closed]

    - by Anubhav Agarwal
    Possible Duplicate: Algorithm to find a duplicate entry in constant space and O(n) time Given an array of N integer such that only one integer is repeated. Find the repeated integer in O(n) time and constant space. There is no range for the value of integers or the value of N For example given an array of 6 integers as 23 45 67 87 23 47. The answer is 23 (I hope this covers ambiguous and vague part) I searched on the net but was unable to find any such question in which range of integers was not fixed. Also here is an example that answers a similar question to mine but here he created a hash table with the highest integer value in C++.But the cpp does not allow such to create an array with 2^64 element(on a 64-bit computer).

  • Is there any specific available method in jsp/Servlet API which tell you from which page the request

    - by anubhavjain86
    Hi, I have been working in Oracle iStore from past 4 months and i have been managing the application without any IDE (basically doing all the chores on notepad only because application has been designed poorly and no IDE can support it). Since the coding is done on simple notepad files it is very hard to find out the bugs in the application. I am facing a problem that i have not idea which jsp page redirect the control to which jsp page. For instance, there are two jsp pages A.jsp and other is B.jsp. Now the browser is currently displaying A.jsp. When the user click on submit button (available on A.jsp) the form submits and redirects the control to B.jsp. Now my problem is that i know i am coming on B.jsp but, i don't know that A.jsp is redirecting the control to B.jsp. Is there an method available in Servlet API which tells Which jsp is redirecting the control to B.jsp? Sorry for making you read so much long story :( appreciate ur help in advance Best Regards Anubhav
