  • Compiler Dependencies [closed]

    I'm a newbie researcher who's passion is programming languages (Web era). I'm wondering why all the Web frameworks and Web-based general purposes languages, have a huge number of dependencies when you want to install and then use (e.g., extend, alternate, etc.) their compilers. For example, Ruby on Rails or Scala. If I want to download their source code, and try to build it again, to me at least, feels like a can of worms. I have a MAC, so I need to install MACports, then update my XCode, then get the compiler source code that has bunch of other dependencies, then its hard to set things up; just to see the installed open-source compiler works fine.

  • SSL issue and redirects from https to http

    I have a site www.example.com for which i purchased SSL cert and installed. And it was working fine, I also have a subdomain with app.example.com which was not on SSL. Both www.example.com and app.example.com are on same IP address. At later we decided to put SSL only on app.frostbox.com and then i configured SSL with app.frostbox.com and it worked fine, Now the issue is that Google is indexing my site as https://www.example.com/ and when users hits the web , Invalid security warning is issued and when user allow security issue they are shown my app.example.com contents. Note: I have my SSL configuration files in /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf The contents of the ssl.conf are below. http://pastebin.com/GCWhpQJq NOTE: I tried solutions in .httaccess but none of those worked. Like redirecting 301 redirects etc

  • Setting density for Android game

    I am developing an Android game, in which a ball (bitmap) translates( is in motion). So I have provided motion equations for the ball. I have checked my app on Samsung galaxy S2 whose actual density is roundly 252 dpi, and It works fine on that. So my question is that Does these motions of bitmaps in surfaceView, depends on actual density of phone( i.e 252 dpi for S2) or generalized density(i.e 240 dpi). I am confused whether if I run this app on 235 dpi smartphone, So will it have the same performance of motion as it is on Galaxy S2( with 252 dpi) or it would be little slow ? Any help will be appreciated.

    I have ISpConfig 3. I have an ip address "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". I want to configure this to point to http://www.my.mydomain.com I have created DNS record and configured "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". and domain name my.mydomain.com Problem is that my.mydomain.com is accessible through only my.mydomain.com or through http://my.mydomain.com only. i want that it should also be accessible through www.my.mydomain.com Someone told me that i should have to create CNAME and A record for this domain. i have following Zone Record Configurations but this is not working. Please help me what i am doing wrong and what exactly should be CNAME and A configuration to work it with www.my.mydomain.com

  • apache on Cent OS opening default page on https

    I am new to apache and SSL and configuration, i got verysign certificte to secure my site. i have public, private and ca_intermediate cert files. i have configured ssl.conf as below VirtualHost _default_:443> DocumentRoot /var/www/mydomain.com/web/ ServerName mydomain.com:443 ServerAlias www.mydomain.com # Use separate log files for the SSL virtual host; note that LogLevel # is not inherited from httpd.conf. SSLEngine on problem is that when i access www.mydoamin.com with "HTTP" it works fine, but when i access using "HTTPS" it just opens apache default page. but with green "HTTPS" means my certificates are installed correctly. How can i get rid of this situtaion.     I have purchase SSL for secure Site from Verisign. I have configured it and its working properly on https://www.example.com . I have subdomain app.example.com . i need to work SSL on this domain also. I have 2 Questions. 1- Will same SSL will work for the subdomain too? [My SSL is not wildcard SSL] 2- If it will not work. then how can i change the same SSL that it should only work on app.example.com. i mean is there any way to change purchased SSL for subdomain. and How can i do this. https://www.example.com and http://app.example.com point to the same IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
