  I am searching for a file hosting service that has/supports: Up-to 100 files File sizes up-to 5 Mb No file expiration Direct download link to files Less than 5 $ or Euro/month fee Download stats, at least download count No download limit No bandwidth limit No ads if possible Is there a service like this? If not what is the next best thing you recommend? Checked out Box.net, Rapidshare and MediaFire. They are not good for me.

• Web service does not accept input

  I am working on a simple .Net 4.0 webservice. I created one method, which accepts a string input. I run the project in Debug mode so a page opens in my browser where I can enter an input and invoke the method of the service. Unfortunately I am getting the following error: System.Web.HttpRequestValidationException: A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client (xmlData="<?xml version="1.0" ..."). at System.Web.HttpRequest.ValidateString(String value, String collectionKey, RequestValidationSource requestCollection) at System.Web.HttpRequest.ValidateNameValueCollection(NameValueCollection nvc, RequestValidationSource requestCollection) at System.Web.HttpRequest.get_Form() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.HtmlFormParameterReader.Read(HttpRequest request) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.HttpServerProtocol.ReadParameters() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.WebServiceHandler.CoreProcessRequest() I tried adding to the web.config. What can I do?

• Performance logging tips

  I am developing large data collecting ASP.Net/Windows service application-pair that uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 through LINQ2Sql. Performance is always the issue. Currently the application is divided into multiple larger processing parts, each logging the duration of their work. This is not detailed and does not help us with anything. It would be nice to have some database tables that contain statistics that the application itself collected from its own behavior. What logging tips and data structures do you recommend to spot the parts that cause performance problems?

• Microsoft Visual Studio License

  I developed a small winforms application for myself in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition at my workplace, the Visual Studio is licensed to the firm I work at. If I want to sell that application, what are my license options? EDIT: The issue here is not my relationship with my employer (the code was written after hours, we have an understanding) but my relationship with Microsoft. Ex. if I continue developing in Visual Studio Express can I keep my old code? Is there a way to verify if some assemblies were written using a Visual Studio Professional?
