  How to use getStartupArgs() Since 0.9.1 it seems you can read the command line arguments issue #245 with the getStartupArgs() method (documentation) But I do know how to use it, I've put it in in all the Griffon lifecycle, Controller, Service, and I get the exception org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.InvokerInvocationException: groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: [LifeCycle|Controller|Service].getStartupArgs() is applicable for argument types: () values: [] Caused by: groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: [LifeCycle|Controller|Service].getStartupArgs() is applicable for argument types: () values: [ ]

• populate a comboBox in Griffon App dynamically

  I have 2 comboBoxes in my View of Griffon App (or groovy swingBuilder) country = comboBox(items:country(), selectedItem: bind(target:model, 'country', value:model.country), actionPerformed: controller.getStates) state = comboBox(items:bind(source:model, sourceProperty:'states'), selectedItem: bind(target:model, 'state', value:model.state)) The getStates() in the controller, populates @Bindable List states = [] in the model based on the country selected. The above code doesn't give any errors, but the states are never populated. I changed the states from being List to a range object(dummy), it gives me an error MissingPropertyException No such property items for class java.swing.JComboBox. Am I missing something here? There are a couple of entries related to this on Nabble but nothing is clear. The above code works if I had a label instead of a second comboBox.

• Combine Hibernate class with @Bindable for SwingBuilder without Griffon?

  Dear All: I have implemented a back-end for my application in Groovy/Gradle, and am now trying to implement a GUI. I am using Hibernate for my data storage (with HSQLDB) per http://groovy.codehaus.org/Using+Hibernate+with+Groovy (with Jasypt for encryption) and it is working quite well. I was wondering if there are any good tips for using @Bindable with, e.g., an @Entity class such as @Entity class Book { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) public Long id @OneToMany(cascade=CascadeType.ALL) public Set<Author> authors public String title String toString() { "$title by ${authors.name.join(', ')}" } } or if I am: (i) asking for Griffon (ii) completely on the wrong track? • Swingbuilder - application location centering

  I am creating an application using Griffon-SwingBuilder. I would like to able to center the application on the desktop. I know we have the 'location: [x,y]' argument we can provide on application creation. Is there anyway to access desktop properties to calculate the center?
